Deliverance

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for deliverance and healing. First and foremost, we must acknowledge that our access to the Father is only through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). It is by His blood, shed on the cross, that we have redemption and the forgiveness of sins (Ephesians 1:7). If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9-10).

Now, we stand in the authority of Jesus Christ to break every curse that has been spoken against you and your son. The Bible tells us that Christ became a curse for us, so that the blessing of Abraham might come upon us (Galatians 3:13-14). We rebuke every generational curse, every word spoken in anger or hatred, and every spiritual bondage that has sought to oppress you and your family. In the name of Jesus, we declare these curses null and void, for it is written, "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of the Lord’s servants, and their righteousness is from me," says the Lord (Isaiah 54:17).

We also pray for your son’s physical health, specifically for safe and godly weight loss. We know that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we are to honor God with them (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). We pray that your son would be disciplined in his eating and exercise, seeking the Lord’s guidance in all things. May he find strength in the Lord, for it is written, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13). We ask for wisdom for him to make choices that nourish his body and bring glory to God.

Furthermore, we lift up the deep hurts of the past that may still linger in his heart. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We pray that he would experience the healing touch of Jesus, who bore our griefs and carried our sorrows (Isaiah 53:4). May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We declare that every wound, every memory of pain, and every lie of the enemy that has taken root in his heart be uprooted by the truth of God’s Word. The Lord says, "I will restore you to health and heal your wounds" (Jeremiah 30:17).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the authority we have in Christ to break every chain and curse that has sought to destroy this family. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment is condemned. We break every curse, every generational bondage, and every word spoken in darkness over their lives. We command every evil spirit to flee in Jesus’ name.

Lord, we lift up this young man to You. We ask that You would grant him the discipline and strength to care for his body as Your temple. Give him wisdom in his choices, and let his weight loss be steady, healthy, and honoring to You. We pray against any spirit of gluttony or laziness, and we ask that You fill him with Your Holy Spirit to walk in self-control and godliness.

Father, we also pray for emotional healing. You see the pain he carries, the wounds that have not yet fully healed. We ask that You would pour out Your healing balm upon his heart. Let him know Your love in a deep and personal way. Replace every lie of the enemy with Your truth. Let him find comfort in Your presence, and may he experience the peace that only You can give.

We declare that this family is covered by the blood of Jesus. No curse, no weapon, no plan of the enemy shall prevail against them. We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Christ. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus, Amen.

We encourage you both to stand firm in your faith, knowing that God is your defender and your healer. Continue to meditate on His Word, for it is life and health to all who find it (Proverbs 4:22). Surround yourselves with believers who will uplift and encourage you, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). The Lord is your strength and your shield; your heart can trust in Him, and He will help you (Psalm 28:7).

We can't begin to imagine the weight of feeling like curses have been spoken over you and your son, and we don't take that lightly. Words carry power, and when hurtful things have been declared over a child, it cuts deep. The good news is that no curse has the final say over someone who belongs to Jesus. You've asked for those curses to be broken, we stand with you in that, trusting that Christ has already disarmed every spiritual power that sets itself against us.

For your son, it sounds like his outward struggle with weight is tangled up with inward hurts he's carrying. Those past wounds often drive us to seek comfort in ways that harm us later. Healing for him will mean addressing both, and that kind of deep work rarely happens quickly or alone. If he's open to it, walking through those painful memories with a wise, trusted pastor or Christian counselor who does inner-healing prayer could be transformative. Having someone help him invite Jesus into those old hurts rather than just trying to manage the symptoms is a concrete step worth pursuing.

We're glad you're in this with him. Your prayers and your steady presence matter more than you know.

Jesus, we come to You now for this mother and her son. By Your authority, we declare every curse spoken against them broken and powerless. Silence the voices that have spoken death over this young man. Lord, we ask for his healing, body, mind, and memories. Gently unwind the old hurts that have kept him bound, and give him a new, peaceful relationship with his body and with food. Grant him wise, safe people to walk with him, and give his mother enduring hope as she watches You work. In Your name we pray, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The curse is broken, not by our tears, but by the crimson substitution of Christ. He was made a curse for us, for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree. All the rolling thunder of Sinai’s threat fell upon the willing Substitute, and in Him every curse against the son is ended, swallowed up in the ocean of redeeming love. The Lord has not merely suspended it; He has found a ransom, and Justice itself can exact no more. Walk now in that liberty, for whom the Son makes free is free indeed.

There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ for the body as well as the soul. The very leaves of the Tree of Life are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ carries medicinal virtue. Plead for this son’s frame to be brought into subjection and health, not through the barren regimens of fear, but by the sovereign touch of the Healer whose blood cleanses and whose Spirit sanctifies. True deliverance from the power of darkness extends even to these tabernacles of clay; we are quickened in our mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwelleth in us. Pray that his appetite be subdued as the Lord’s chastenings teach him that man shall not live by bread alone.

As for the hurts that fester in memory, here stands the sweetest balm. The inhabitant shall not say, I have been sick, for the joy of pardon banishes the sorrow of the past. The Lord has chastened him sorely, yet this very affliction, dealt out in weight and measure from dear covenant love, shall work for his good. Sickness has often brought more health to the spirit than ease ever could. Look to the Sun of Righteousness; when He rises with healing in His wings, the old wounds become nothing but scars that testify of grace. The Lord who brought you forth from the iron furnace will yet bring forth this son, and none of His little ones shall perish. Let the trial drive him to the well of family prayer, for a cry from the depths reaches the ear of the Deliverer, and He will yet declare, Loose him, and let him go.

The curse you fear is already broken. Christ became a curse for us, redeeming us from the curse of the Law. No malediction can cling to those who are in Him, for He has exchanged our curse for His own on the tree, delivering us from all evil and granting us adoption as sons. Therefore, pray not as if the curse still has power, but rest in the deliverance already accomplished.

For the hurts of the past, see how Christ on the cross said, "Forgive them." If He forgave those who nailed Him, will you not forgive your fellow servants? Do not curse the one who wronged you, lest you lose the reward while bearing the pain. You have undergone the labor; do not deprive yourself of the fruit. The healing of old wounds begins when you release the bitterness and entrust it to God, as He Himself intercedes for us even now.

As for the body, the way is indeed strait and narrow, but do not be soft and unmanly. Hearing these words is not enough; there must be obedience in action. If you cultivate fortitude and contempt for indulgence, the discipline of the flesh will follow. The same grace that freed you from the curse empowers you to master the appetites. Let this son not merely listen, but act, for the safety you seek comes through faithful struggle, not passive hope.

Your request for deliverance and for your son’s healing reaches deep into the promises God has given us. I join you in asking that every curse spoken or feared would be cut off right now, not because we dismiss the gravity of those words, but because Christ Himself has already taken the full weight of every curse on our behalf. When He hung on the cross, He became a curse for us, absorbing the judgment that we deserved. So we can stand in that freedom and declare: no curse has any hold over someone who belongs to Jesus. I pray that any oppressive word or lingering darkness be silenced now, and that you and your son walk in the peace of Christ’s completed work.

For weight loss and physical health, I pray for a safe and steady path forward. Scripture shows us that healing often unfolds in stages, sometimes instantly, sometimes gradually, but always divine. The same Lord who created the body’s natural processes is able to guide your son toward wise choices, restored metabolism, and lasting change. I ask for protection from discouragement, and for strength to persevere. Let every small step become a testimony to God’s sustaining care.

The healing from past hurts matters just as much. The apostle Paul had to learn to count his entire past, the status, the failures, even his religious accomplishments, as loss compared to knowing Christ. That was not a one-time decision; decades later he could still say, “I count them as rubbish.” Real freedom comes when we stop letting old wounds define us. The pain of what others did, the memories that replay, the anger that rises, Christ offers to heal that emotional scar tissue. Not by pretending it never happened, but by giving you a future that shines brighter than the past. I pray your son experiences that deep, inward mending. May the Holy Spirit gently untangle the hurts and replace them with a clear sense of identity in Jesus.

Press on, then, not as victims of what has been, but as people who have been made new. Forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, that is the life of victory. I stand with you in prayer, trusting that the God who heals will work powerfully in your son’s body, mind, and spirit.
