We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent plea for deliverance and healing. The Word of God declares in Galatians 3:13, "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.'" We stand on this truth, believing that through the blood of Jesus, every curse spoken against you and your son has been broken. No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
We rebuke every assignment of darkness that has sought to bring harm, sickness, or bondage to your lives. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that the power of the cross and the resurrection of Christ has disarmed every principality and power, triumphing over them in the name of Jesus (Colossians 2:15). We break every chain, every curse, and every generational iniquity in the mighty name of Jesus. Let the blood of Jesus speak better things over your lives, peace, healing, and restoration.
Father, we pray for your son’s health and well-being. We ask that you would grant him the discipline and strength to lose weight safely, not by the world’s standards, but according to Your will for his life. Your Word tells us in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." We pray that he would honor You with his body, seeking Your wisdom in his diet, exercise, and rest. Surround him with godly influences who will encourage him in this journey, and let Your peace guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we also lift up the deep wounds of the past that may still linger in his heart. You are the God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). We ask that You would bring healing to every hurt, every rejection, and every disappointment. Let Your love wash over him like a flood, reminding him that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). Comfort him with Your presence, and let him know that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We declare that the spirit of heaviness is lifted, and in its place, You clothe him with the garment of praise (Isaiah 61:3).
We also want to gently remind you both of the importance of salvation through Jesus Christ. There is no deliverance, no healing, and no true peace outside of Him. Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." If either of you has not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is only by His name that we can boldly come before the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16).
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and Your love. We declare that this is a season of breakthrough and restoration for you and your son. May Your Holy Spirit guide you both into all truth, and may Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We speak life, health, and wholeness over your son, and we declare that every curse is broken, every chain is loosed, and every stronghold is demolished in the name of Jesus.
We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
