We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for deliverance and healing. First and foremost, we must address the foundation of our prayers—there is no mention of the saving name of Jesus Christ in this request. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, for He Himself said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6). Salvation is found in no other name, for *"there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12). If you or your loved ones have not surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so today, for the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23).
Now, we stand in agreement for the breaking of every curse that has been spoken or enacted against you and your son. The Word of God declares, *"Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree'"* (Galatians 3:13). We rebuke every generational curse, every word of death or destruction, and every assignment of the enemy in the mighty name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against you or your son shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). The blood of Jesus has broken every chain, and we command every curse to be nullified and rendered powerless now, in Jesus’ name.
For your son’s health, we pray for safe and godly weight loss, not by the world’s standards, but by the leading of the Holy Spirit. We ask that the Lord would give him discipline and wisdom in his eating and exercise, for *"whether therefore you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God"* (1 Corinthians 10:31). We pray for healing from past hurts—emotional, spiritual, and physical wounds that may have contributed to unhealthy patterns. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We ask that the Holy Spirit would bring comfort, revelation, and restoration to every area of pain. Jesus came to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and release to those who are bound (Isaiah 61:1). We declare that your son is set free from every stronghold of the past, and we pray for a fresh infilling of God’s peace and joy.
We also encourage you both to seek godly counsel and community. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and there is wisdom in seeking support from mature believers who can walk alongside you in this journey. If there are unconfessed sins or unforgiveness in your lives, we urge you to repent and release them to the Lord, for *"if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9). Unforgiveness can open doors to the enemy, and we must guard our hearts diligently.
Father God, we come before You with boldness, knowing that You hear the cries of Your children. We thank You for the blood of Jesus that has already secured victory over every curse and every sickness. We declare that [###] is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and we speak life, health, and wholeness over his body, mind, and spirit. Lord, give him a hunger and thirst for righteousness, and let Your Word be a lamp to his feet and a light to his path (Psalm 119:105). We break every spirit of gluttony, laziness, or emotional eating in Jesus’ name, and we command every cell in his body to align with Your perfect design. We pray for divine encounters with You, Lord, that he would know Your love in a deeper way and walk in the freedom that Christ has purchased for him.
We also pray for wisdom and strength for [###], that You would guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Give her the words to speak life into her son’s life and the discernment to recognize any areas where the enemy may be trying to gain a foothold. We declare that this family is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against them shall prosper. We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness, and we trust You to complete the good work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6). In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
