We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for deliverance and healing. First and foremost, we must acknowledge that our authority to pray and see breakthrough comes only through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or set free (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so today—confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be Lord of your life. Without Him, we have no standing before God.
Father God, we stand in the gap for these precious souls, binding every curse that has been spoken, generational or otherwise, over their lives. We declare that the blood of Jesus breaks every chain, for "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us" (Galatians 3:13). We rebuke every assignment of the enemy against them and command every curse to be nullified in the mighty name of Jesus. No weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we declare their lives covered by the blood of the Lamb.
For the son mentioned here, we pray for safe and godly weight loss, not for the sake of vanity, but for health and stewardship of the body You have entrusted to him. We ask for Your healing touch to restore his metabolism, discipline, and self-control, as the Word says, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own" (1 Corinthians 6:19). Strengthen him to honor You with his body through nourishment and movement that glorifies You.
We also lift up the deep wounds of his past. Father, we ask that You heal every hurt, every rejection, and every lie he has believed about himself or about You. Your Word declares that "by His stripes we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5), and we claim that healing over his heart, mind, and emotions. Replace bitterness with forgiveness, shame with Your love, and fear with Your perfect peace. Surround him with godly mentors and friends who will speak life and truth into him.
Lord, we also pray for the mother in this situation. If there are areas where she has unknowingly participated in or perpetuated curses—through words, actions, or unforgiveness—we ask for Your conviction and repentance. Let her walk in the freedom Christ purchased for her, and may her home be a place of peace, prayer, and godly influence.
We declare that from this day forward, these lives are marked by Your favor, Your protection, and Your purpose. No longer will the enemy have a foothold, for "whom the Son sets free is free indeed" (John 8:36). We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness to complete the work You have begun in them. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
