We come before the Lord Almighty with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for deliverance and healing. First, we must address the foundation of our prayers—it is only through the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you or your son have not yet surrendered your lives to Jesus, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Without this relationship with Christ, the power of deliverance and healing is limited, for it is Jesus who breaks every chain.
Father God, we stand in the authority of Your Son, Jesus Christ, and we rebuke every curse that has been spoken, invoked, or placed against this family. The Bible tells us that Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us (Galatians 3:13). We declare that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). We break every generational curse, every word of witchcraft, and every assignment of the enemy in the mighty name of Jesus. Let the blood of Jesus cleanse and protect this family from all evil.
Lord, we lift up this young man, praying for his physical health and safety as he seeks to lose weight. We ask that You would guide him in making wise choices about his diet and exercise, and that You would strengthen his body to shed the excess weight in a way that honors You. Remind him that his body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and he is to glorify You in his body (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Give him discipline and self-control, for these are fruits of Your Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). Protect him from any schemes of the enemy that would seek to harm him or discourage him in this journey.
We also pray for healing from past hurts that may be weighing on his heart. Father, You are the God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). We ask that You would bring to light any wounds, traumas, or unforgiveness that may be hindering his emotional and spiritual well-being. Pour out Your love and comfort upon him, and let him experience the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). If there are areas where he has turned to food or other unhealthy coping mechanisms to numb his pain, we ask that You would break those strongholds and replace them with Your truth and healing.
Lord, we also pray for this mother, that You would strengthen her faith and give her wisdom as she intercedes for her son. Help her to trust in Your timing and Your plans for his life. Remind her that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Give her the courage to speak life and blessing over her son, and to stand firm in the authority You have given her as a believer.
We declare that this family is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no curse or scheme of the enemy shall prevail against them. We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Christ. May this young man walk in the fullness of Your healing, deliverance, and purpose for his life. In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
