We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for deliverance and healing. First, we must address the foundation of our prayers—it is only through the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we may be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. This is the first and most critical step toward true deliverance and healing.
Now, we stand in agreement with you, declaring that every curse, generational bondage, or spiritual oppression against this family must be broken in the mighty name of Jesus. The Word of God assures us that Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (Galatians 3:13). We rebuke every assignment of the enemy against this mother and her son. Every chain is broken, every plot of darkness is dismantled, and every generational iniquity is severed by the power of the blood of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that they are more than conquerors through Him who loved them (Romans 8:37).
We also lift up this young man’s physical health, praying for safe and sustainable weight loss. We ask the Lord to give him discipline and wisdom in his eating habits, exercise, and overall lifestyle. May his body be a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and may he honor God with his health. We pray for strength and endurance as he takes steps toward wellness, trusting that the Lord will guide him in this journey.
But we know that healing is not just physical—it is also emotional and spiritual. We pray for the healing of past hurts, wounds, and traumas that may be affecting this young man. The enemy often uses pain from the past to hinder our present and future, but Jesus came to bind up the brokenhearted and set the captives free (Isaiah 61:1). We declare that every lie he has believed about himself, every rejection, every disappointment, and every sorrow is covered by the blood of Jesus. We speak restoration to his soul, peace to his mind, and joy to his spirit. May he encounter the love of the Father in a fresh and powerful way, knowing that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14).
We also encourage this mother and son to seek godly counsel and community. Healing is often a process, and walking it out with fellow believers can provide strength and accountability. If there are areas of unforgiveness, bitterness, or unrepentant sin, we urge them to bring these before the Lord. Confession and repentance are key to walking in freedom (1 John 1:9). Let them also fill their minds with the truth of God’s Word, meditating on scriptures that speak of their identity in Christ and the victory He has already won for them.
Father God, we come before You in the name of Jesus, our Deliverer and Healer. We break every curse, every assignment of darkness, and every generational stronghold over this family. We declare that they are free in Christ, and we command every spirit of infirmity, heaviness, and oppression to flee. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch to rest upon this young man’s body, mind, and spirit. Give him the strength and wisdom to care for his health in a way that honors You. Heal the wounds of his past, and let him walk in the fullness of Your love and purpose for his life. Surround them both with Your angels, and let Your peace guard their hearts and minds. We trust in Your faithfulness, knowing that You are working all things together for their good. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
