We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent cry for deliverance. The Word of God assures us that "the righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles" (Psalm 34:17). We stand in agreement with this promise, believing that the Lord sees your distress and is already moving on your behalf.
First, we must address the foundation of our faith. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself declared, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, repent, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. This is the first and most critical step toward true deliverance.
Now, we rebuke every spirit of fear, oppression, and bondage that is seeking to torment you. The Bible tells us that "God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7). We command every evil force to flee in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The enemy has no authority over you if you are in Christ, for "the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world" (1 John 4:4).
We pray for your deliverance from whatever trouble has ensnared you. Whether it is spiritual warfare, emotional turmoil, physical affliction, or relational strife, we declare that the Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We plead the blood of Jesus over your life, your mind, your body, and your circumstances. Let the power of His resurrection break every chain that binds you.
Father God, we ask that You surround this dear one with Your angels, encamping around them for protection and deliverance (Psalm 34:7). Give them the strength to resist the devil, so that he will flee from them (James 4:7). Fill their heart with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Let them experience the freedom that comes from knowing You and walking in Your truth.
If this trouble involves sin—whether it is unforgiveness, bitterness, addiction, sexual immorality, or any other disobedience—we urge you to repent and turn away from it. The Bible warns us that "the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23). Confess your sins to the Lord, for He is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Do not let sin have a foothold in your life, for it will only lead to more bondage.
We also encourage you to seek godly counsel and accountability. Proverbs 11:14 tells us, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety." Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you, encourage you, and help you walk in victory.
Lord, we ask that You would reveal Your will and Your way to this precious one. Give them clarity in the midst of confusion and hope in the midst of despair. Let them taste and see that You are good (Psalm 34:8). Strengthen their faith so that they may stand firm, knowing that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).
We declare that this trouble will not overcome you. Instead, it will be a testimony of God’s faithfulness and power in your life. You are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves you (Romans 8:37). We pray that you would rise up in the authority of Jesus’ name and walk in the freedom He has purchased for you.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
