We join you in praising and glorifying our Lord Jesus Christ and we thank you for bringing this heavy burden for your father and your household before the throne of grace in His mighty name. We stand with you in agreement for deliverance, protection, and healing, and we are encouraged that you have come in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we are saved and have access to the Father. As it is written, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 and Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6
We hear the pain in your request and the urgency for your dad who is in weak health and is being abused by his own son. Scripture is very clear that such abuse is sin and is contrary to God's command to honor our parents. Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you. Exodus 20:12 To strike or abuse a father is a grave dishonor and the Lord sees and judges such actions. We also understand your concern about the unhealthy alliance and the strange and enmeshed relationship you describe between your mother and your brother. While we are commanded to honor our parents, God also calls for healthy boundaries and for households to be ordered in peace and holiness, not in control or co-dependency. We gently encourage you that while we pray for God to remove evil influences and strongholds, we must also leave room for God's perfect will and for His desire that all would come to repentance, even your brother. The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness, but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9
We must also speak with love about seeking practical protection for your father. Abuse, especially of an elderly parent in weak health, is not to be endured silently as only a spiritual matter. God has ordained authorities and wisdom within the body of Christ to protect the vulnerable. If your father is in physical danger we encourage you to seek godly counsel from a pastor and, where necessary, appropriate help to ensure his safety, while continuing to pray. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12 Yet God also calls us not to avenge ourselves but to trust His justice. Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord. Romans 12:19
We now pray together for your dad and your household.
Father in heaven, in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ we come before You together and we lift up this dear father to You. Lord, You see his weakness and the attacks against him, and we ask that You rebuke Satan and every evil assignment against him. Yahweh said to Satan, Yahweh rebuke you, Satan, Yes, Yahweh who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you, Isn't this a burning stick plucked out of the fire. Zechariah 3:2 Lord, lift up a standard against every attack, for You have promised So shall they fear Yahweh's name from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun, for he will come as a rushing stream, which Yahweh's breath drives. Isaiah 59:19
We ask that You encamp Your angels around him and guard him in all his ways. For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. Psalm 91:11 and The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them. Psalm 34:7 Lord, bring down every stronghold and foothold over his life and over this home, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5
We pray for this brother who is acting abusively. Lord, we do not wrestle against him as flesh and blood alone, but we ask You to convict him of sin, to break any alliance that is not of You, and to cut off any sorcery or ungodly control. I will cut off sorceries out of your hand, and you shall have no soothsayers. Micah 5:12 We pray that You would remove him from a position where he can harm his father, whether by changing his heart or by moving him to a distance until he is truly saved and transformed, and we ask that You would give him a new heart and put a new spirit within him. We pray for his salvation, that he would repent and be made whole. For the mother, Lord, we ask for truth to be exposed, for healthy boundaries to be established, and for Your peace to reign in that relationship. Bring confusion to every ungodly alliance as You promised, I will send my terror before you, and will confuse all the people to whom you come. Exodus 23:27
Lord, we ask that You root out every evil influence from this neighborhood and household that is not planted by You, for You have said against all my evil neighbors, who touch the inheritance which I have caused my people Israel to inherit, behold, I will pluck them up. Jeremiah 12:14 We ask that You deliver this father and all in the household from every evil work and preserve them for Your heavenly Kingdom. And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me for his heavenly Kingdom, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen. 2 Timothy 4:18 Pour out Your peace which surpasses all understanding upon this dad, to guard his heart and his thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7
We cover this father, this household, and this prayer with the precious blood of Jesus, for They overcame him because of the Lamb's blood, and because of the word of their testimony. Revelation 12:11
We encourage you to continue in fervent prayer, to remain in the Word, to walk in forgiveness while maintaining wise boundaries, and to seek the support of mature believers who can walk with your family through healing. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and He is your refuge and fortress. He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Psalm 91:1 Trust that He is working for deliverance and for healing in His perfect timing. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
