Deliverance Prayer

We join you in praising and glorifying the Lord Jesus and we thank Him with you for His mercy and His power to deliver. We stand together with you on Zechariah 3:2 where Yahweh said to Satan, Yahweh rebuke you, Satan. Yes, Yahweh who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you. Is not this a burning stick plucked out of the fire. We agree that the Lord Himself rebukes the enemy on your behalf and that every way in which your life and circumstances are being used by Satan is brought under the authority of Jesus Christ.
We are reminded that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12. Yet we take comfort that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4 and that God has delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of His love Colossians 1:13. Through Jesus we have authority to overcome, for He said, Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you Luke 10:19.
We encourage you to continue to submit yourself fully to God, to resist the devil and he will flee from you James 4:7, and to be sober and watchful, resisting him steadfast in your faith 1 Peter 5:8-9. Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil Ephesians 6:11, staying rooted in the Word, in prayer, in repentance and in obedience, closing any door that may have been opened through sin, unforgiveness, or compromise, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds 2 Corinthians 10:4. In Christ we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us Romans 8:37.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we praise You and thank You for Your goodness and Your deliverance. We glorify Your holy name. Lord Jesus, we ask that You Yourself would rebuke Satan and every assignment, influence, oppression and scheme that has been directed against our dear one. We ask that You would break every chain, close every opening, and cleanse and guard every area of life that the enemy has sought to use for his purposes. Cover this life with Your precious blood, fill every place with Your Holy Spirit, and let Your light expose and expel all darkness. Grant discernment, strength and peace, and lead into full freedom and wholeness. Help to walk in holiness, in the truth of Your Word, and in daily communion with You, standing firm in faith until the victory is fully manifest. We thank You that whom the Son sets free is free indeed and we trust You to complete this deliverance for Your glory. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray and ask, Amen.

We are grateful you brought this loved one before the Lord so faithfully. It is a loving thing to stand in the gap when you are concerned for someone you care about deeply.

Your prayer is a wise and scriptural one, and it is good that you have taken your stand upon the word of the Lord. "The Lord rebuke thee, O Satan" is the very word which the Lord Himself speaks on behalf of His people, as it is written in Zechariah 3:2. You do well to appeal to Him, for the battle is not yours but the Lord's.
Let it never be forgotten that in all that God does He acts from good reasons, and He has provided a full deliverance for those who are oppressed by the enemy. The Scripture declares, "Deliver him from going down to the Pit: I have found a ransom" Job 33:24. Nobody would have thought of that way of deliverance if God had not thought of it. He has not only invented the way, but He has found the ransom, and that ransom is the precious blood of His well beloved Son. Thus the Lord rejoices over His people with singing as He cries, "I have found a Ransom." There is your hope. Your deliverance rests not in your own strength, but in the finished work of Christ.
The word also declares, "He has delivered us from the power of darkness" Colossians 1:13. Darkness is the element of Satan, who is called the prince of darkness, yet what a mercy it is that poor creatures such as we are should be able to escape from the power of that master spirit. Satan is the prince of the power of the air, and to escape from Satan himself is cause for singing in heaven. Deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. Sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under the Law, but under Grace. And our Lord Jesus has overcome the world. When He, the Head of the Church, was victorious over the foe, every member of His mystical body was virtually a conqueror in the conquering Head. That death upon the cross was the deathblow to the devil's usurpation, and now we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us.
Therefore take comfort. The Lord has chastened you sorely, but He has not given you over unto death. To be given over would be the direst sentence, but you, dear child of God, have this comfort, He has not given you over. He is thinking upon you, and He has given commandment to save you. He will save you from yourself and from all the attacks of your old sins, saved from the devil, saved from every snare, for God has said it, "Deliver him from going down to the Pit."
Let us pray together for you now.
O Lord Jesus Christ, Thou great Ransomer and Liberator, we praise and glorify Thy name. We thank Thee that Thou hast found a ransom and hast paid it fully upon the cross. We ask in Thy mighty name that Thou wouldst rebuke Satan and all his devices against this Thy servant. The Lord rebuke thee, O Satan, even the Lord that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee. Put forth Thy power and deliver Thy servant from going down to the pit. Snap every band, drag off every evil habit, and set free by Thine infinite mercy. Deliver from the power of darkness and translate into the kingdom of Thy dear Son. Let Thy victory be manifest in this life, that being delivered, Thy servant may live and declare the works of the Lord, saying with the Psalmist, "I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord." Keep by Thy grace, establish in holiness, and cause to walk at liberty through the power of the great Liberator. We ask this not for any merit of our own, but trusting alone in Thy blood and righteousness, for there is salvation in no other name. Amen.
Abide near to Christ, keep close to His word, flee from every appearance of evil, and give yourself to prayer. He who has begun to deliver will perfect the work, for the whole of this victory results from Christ's own work, and He will not leave it unfinished.

We thank you for sharing this prayer request and for your desire to see the Lord's power and holiness prevail. We join you in praising Jesus and giving Him glory, for He alone is our Savior and deliverer.
We stand with you on Zechariah 3:2, where it is written, The Lord rebuke you, O Satan. Scripture shows us that when Jesus rebuked Satan, saying Get thee hence, Satan, the enemy had to flee, because Christ speaks with divine authority. There is no power of darkness that can stand against His command. We pray that the Lord Himself would rebuke every work of the enemy in the situation you have mentioned, and that He would bring protection, clarity, and freedom through the blood of Jesus Christ.
We pray that God would guard your heart and mind, and the person and circumstance you are burdened for, and that He would expose every scheme of the enemy and replace it with truth and light. We ask that He would lead all involved into repentance where needed, into holiness, and into full trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. We pray that every relationship, thought, and practice would be brought into conformity with God's good design revealed in Scripture, where marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman and where sexual intimacy and living together belong within that covenant, and that outside of that design we would all seek purity and obedience.
We encourage you to continue to walk closely with the Lord, to put on the full armor of God, to remain in His Word and in prayer, and to stay connected to a faithful local church where you can receive pastoral care, accountability, and ongoing prayer. God rebukes with authority, yet also with love that restores and corrects, and His desire is to make us more like Christ.
