Lord Jesus,

I praise you, and thank you. I glorify you. Lord Jesus I ask that you rebuke all the ways in which my mom is being used by Satan, standing on Zechariah 3:2. Lord Jesus she arrived unannounced back home early from her trip, I ask that you protect all of our minds and emotions from any possible schemes and harm that she has in mind by coming back unannounced, standing on Isaiah 54:17. Lord Jesus I ask that you bring down all strongholds of the devil that my mom has over us or any footholds that she has tried to place over us, standing on 2 Corinthians 10:3-5. I ask that you humble all and place under conviction the people that my mom has tried to use against me, standing in Romans 12:19. I ask that you give us all the strength and lift standards for us to keep our new found peace that we have acquired as she was gone, standing on Isaiah 59:19. Lord Jesus I ask that you cancel the principality working behind my mom, standing on Colossians 2:15. May a witchcraft placed over us by my mom be canceled, standing on Micah 5:12.

I cover myself and this prayer with the precious blood of Jesus, standing on Revelations 12:11.

We join with you in praising and glorifying our Lord Jesus Christ and we thank Him with you for His mercy and protection over your home. We hear the distress in your heart regarding your mother and her unannounced return, and the fear that her presence may disturb the peace you have recently experienced, and we stand with you in prayer for deliverance, protection and restoration.

We want to gently speak truth to you as we pray, because our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places as taught in Eph 6:12. This means that even when we feel harmed or oppressed by a person close to us, we must guard our hearts against accusation, bitterness and dishonor toward that person. Scripture commands us to Honor your father and your mother in Ex 20:12 and to love our enemies and pray for those who mistreat us in Matt 5:44. We can both seek God’s protection and set healthy boundaries while still honoring your mother as your parent and praying for her deliverance rather than only praying against her. We also encourage you to submit yourselves therefore to God and to resist the devil and he will flee from you in James 4:7, remembering that God desires not only your peace but also your mother’s salvation and freedom.

We affirm the scriptures you have stood upon. We agree that The Lord rebuke you, Satan in Zech 3:2, that No weapon that is formed against you will prevail in Isa 54:17, that the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds in 2 Cor 10:4-5, that Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord in Rom 12:19, that When the enemy comes in like a flood, Yahweh’s Spirit will lift up a standard against him in Isa 59:19, that having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in Col 2:15, that He will cut off sorceries from your hand in Mic 5:12, and that They overcame him because of the Lamb’s blood, and because of the word of their testimony in Rev 12:11.

Together we now seek the Father’s will in Jesus’ name.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we thank You that we have access to Your throne of grace only through Him. We praise You and we glorify You for Your faithfulness. Lord Jesus, we ask that You rebuke every scheme of the enemy that seeks to use division, manipulation or fear within this family. We ask You to protect the minds and emotions of everyone in this household and to let no weapon formed against them prosper. We ask You to tear down every stronghold and every foothold of the enemy that has tried to establish itself in this home, and to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. We pray for the conviction and humbling of any hearts that have been drawn into strife or gossip, and we release all vengeance into Your hands, trusting You to repay with perfect justice and mercy. Lord, lift up Your standard over this home and preserve the peace You have graciously given in these recent days. Guard that peace which surpasses all understanding. Cancel every work of darkness and every principality that seeks to operate behind the scenes, and cut off any influence of witchcraft or deceit, for You have already triumphed over all powers through the cross. We cover this family and this prayer with the blood of Jesus, and we declare victory through His sacrifice. We also lift this dear mother to You, asking that You would have mercy on her, open her eyes, deliver her from any influence of the enemy, and draw her into Your light and truth. Help this family to walk in forgiveness, honor, discernment and love, while also walking in wisdom and healthy boundaries. Fill this home with Your Holy Spirit, with unity, calmness and joy. We ask all of this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to abide in Christ daily through prayer, reading the Word, and fellowship with mature believers who can support you with godly counsel and accountability. Be sober and self-controlled and be watchful as 1 Pet 5:8 teaches, but do not live in fear, for God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love and self-control as seen in 2 Tim 1:7. Continue to pray for your mother with compassion, that she too may know the freedom and forgiveness found only in Jesus, and trust the Lord to be your defender and your peace.

We hear how much you want to guard the peace you found while your mom was away, and how unsettling her coming home unannounced has felt. Thank you for bringing your home and your heart honestly to Jesus and asking Him to be your protector.

We join you in looking to Him as the one who keeps us steady when the atmosphere at home feels tense. Wanting to protect your mind and emotions makes sense, and we find God meets that desire not by keeping us on high alert, but by being our steady refuge and giving wisdom for each day.

One step that often helps when a household feels on edge is to not carry it alone. If you have a trusted pastor or mature believer nearby, consider inviting them to walk with you as you think through calm, clear boundaries for living together and ways to speak with your mom with both honesty and respect. Even simple, agreed expectations about space, conversation and rest can lower the temperature for everyone and help you keep the peace you value.

Father, we lift this family to You in Jesus' name. We ask for Your protection over each person in this home, for settled minds and emotions, and for wisdom to respond with grace and truth. Bring healing where there is hurt, soften hearts where needed, and lead them in Your will toward healthy ways forward together. Amen.

The Lord has heard the cry you have brought before Him, and it is good that you have turned to Him as your stronghold in the day of trouble. For it is written, The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble, and His name is a strong tower into which the righteous run and are safe. When hordes of trouble seem to approach and the heart is alarmed, the believer does well to flee not to bitter thoughts against flesh and blood, but to Christ Himself.

You have asked for deliverance, and Scripture teaches us where true deliverance is found. It is not invented by man, but found by God Himself, for He is gracious unto him and says, Deliver him from going down to the Pit: I have found a ransom. That ransom is not a form of words nor a claim upon a verse, but the precious blood of Jesus Christ, the King's own Son who bore the penalty of our iniquities. By that blood we are delivered from guilt and also from the power of darkness, for He has delivered us from the power of darkness. Deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin, and we must look to our heavenly Father altogether and alone for it.

In your distress you have fixed your thoughts upon your mother as one used of the enemy, and have spoken of witchcraft and principalities working behind her. Hear with patience what the Word teaches concerning affliction. On the surface we see the secondary hand, for you say, you have thrust sorely at me that I might fall, and indeed there is one who aims to make us fall. Yet the believer also perceives that his afflictions come from God, for troubles do not spring out of the dust, neither does affliction grow up from the ground, but the Lord Himself kindles the fiery furnace and sits as a Refiner at the door. He does this not to destroy His children, but to chasten, to refine, and to bring them to declare the works of the Lord. Therefore be careful lest you ascribe to Satan what the Lord may be using for your sanctification, and lest you lay to the charge of your mother what ought to be taken before the Lord in humble prayer for her and for yourself.

The command of God stands, to honour father and mother, and to seek peace in your borders, for He maketh peace in thy borders. That peace is not kept by humbling others or by asking God to bring others under conviction for our vindication, for vengeance belongs to the Lord, as it is written, Vengeance is mine, I will repay, saith the Lord. Our calling is to bear the infirmities of the weak and not to please ourselves, to overcome evil with good, and to leave judgment in the hands of Him who judges righteously. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds, and the chief stronghold to be pulled down is often the pride and bitterness within our own hearts.

It is right to pray for protection of mind and emotions, and for the preservation of peace in the home. It is right to pray that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, not by repeating a phrase as a charm, but by trusting the Lord who sends forth His commandment and whose word runneth very swiftly. It is right to ask to be kept from evil company and from the power of sin, for God has said, Deliver him from going down to the Pit. But let your prayer be shaped also by love for your mother, who, whatever her faults or sudden return may have stirred in you, remains one whom Christ commands you to love and to forgive, even as you have been forgiven through the ransom He has found.

Let us pray together for you both.

O Lord our God, who art gracious and hast found a ransom for sinners, we come through the blood of Jesus, by which we overcome. Deliver this thy servant from going down to the pit, and keep back his soul from perishing. Deliver him from the power of darkness, from concealment and from the tiny cobwebs of sin that would entangle the soul, and from bitterness and accusation. Be thou his stronghold, and make peace in his borders. Grant a meek and quiet spirit, a willingness to honour his mother, to speak the truth in love, and to commit all wrongs to Thee who judgest righteously. Work in his mother also according to Thy mercy, draw her to Thyself, forgive her sins as Thou hast forgiven his, and let Thy refining hand be upon this household for good. Fill them with the finest of the wheat, which is Christ Himself, and enable them to live and to declare the works of the Lord. We ask not by our much speaking, but through Jesus Christ our Lord, who is our peace and our ransom. Amen.

Seek the Lord daily in His Word, walk in honesty and gentleness under your own roof, and if strife arises, seek godly counsel in your local church, that you may be kept from sin and kept in the peace which passes understanding.

Your prayer has been heard, and I thank God that in a time of distress and fear you have turned to the Lord Jesus and sought His protection and peace. It is right to bring every anxiety into His presence, to plead the blood of Christ, and to trust that He alone is our Deliverer from all evils.

I hear in your words a deep longing for the peace you found while your mother was away, and a fear that it will be lost now that she has returned unannounced. That longing for peace is good, for there is nothing equal to it. Peace is the mother of all good things and the foundation of joy. Christ Himself said, Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you, and this is not the peace the world gives, which is often external and quickly dissolved. The peace He gives makes us at peace with Him and with one another, and it renders us stronger. If we will be at peace with each other, God too will be with us.

For this reason Scripture calls us to follow peace with all people and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord. This includes our own household. Even when we feel hurt or threatened, we are called to honor father and mother and to let the peace of God rule in our hearts as an umpire. When two thoughts fight within us, one bidding us to revenge or to accuse, and the other bidding us to endure and to entrust ourselves to God, we are to let the peace of God decide. That peace reminds us that God Himself has made peace with us through Christ, not because we earned it, but of His own will and grace. Human peace often comes from avenging or from demanding our rights, but the peace of God comes from trusting Him to act justly.

You have rightly remembered that vengeance belongs to the Lord, and that we are not to repay evil but to leave room for God to work. The peacemakers are called sons of God, because the Son of God came to set at peace the things in heaven and on earth. Those who make disturbance, even with good intentions, stray from His way. This does not mean we ignore sin or danger, but it does mean we do not find safety by speaking accusation over our own mother or by fixing in our hearts the certainty that she intends schemes and witchcraft against us. Nothing is so hostile to the soul as bitter accusation and vice, while peace and virtue place the soul in safety. We must make a beginning on our part toward peace, and then we shall draw God toward us.

In spiritual warfare, our confidence is not in naming every principality, but in what Christ has already accomplished. He has disarmed the powers and triumphed over them on the cross. The strongholds the apostle speaks of are torn down not by cursing others, but by truth, by humility, by prayer, and by a holy life. God has promised that no weapon formed against His children will finally prosper, and that when the enemy comes in, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him. He will also cut off all sorceries from among His people. Therefore we can rest in Christ and pray with a pure heart.

I encourage you to continue in prayer, but to turn your prayer in this direction. Pray for protection, yes, and also pray for your mother with love, asking God to bless her with conviction, repentance, and the knowledge of His grace, rather than asking for her humiliation. Ask God to guard your own mind and emotions, to keep you from bitterness, and to help you think on whatever is true, honorable, pure, and of good report, giving no cause for stumbling. Ask Him to make you a maker of peace in your home, speaking with gentleness and respect even when boundaries are needed. If you feel unsafe, seek wise and godly counsel from a pastor or trusted mature believers in your church who can know you both, pray with you face to face, and help you establish healthy and holy boundaries in the home.

May the Lord keep you under His care, cover you with the precious blood of Jesus by which we overcome, and fill your home not with suspicion and war, but with His own steadfast peace.

Let us pray together. Lord Jesus, You are our peace. You have reconciled us to the Father and You have promised that Your peace will guard our hearts and minds. I ask You to guard this dear one who is afraid. Quiet every troubled thought, cast out fear, and let Your peace rule as umpire in the heart. Protect this household from all evil, from every work of darkness, and from every division. Bring down every proud thought that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and teach us to walk in truth and holiness. Have mercy on this mother, draw her to Yourself, convict and heal and save her according to Your will, and help this family to pursue what makes for peace and for mutual building up. Keep them in Your adoption and grace, that earth may reflect heaven, and that all may know we are Your disciples by our love for one another. In Your holy name, Amen.
