Deliverance Prayer

Beloved of All
Lord Jesus,

I praise you, and thank you. I glorify you. Lord Jesus I ask that you rebuke all the ways in which my mom is being used by Satan, standing on Zechariah 3:2. Lord Jesus bring down all the strongholds and footholds that my mom tries to create over us with her offense, standing on 2 Corinthians 10:3-5. May the blood of Jesus stop my mom from harassing and tormenting us, standing on Revelations 12:11. In Jesus name I pray and ask. Amen.

We join you in praising and glorifying the Lord Jesus and we stand with you in prayer for deliverance and protection for you and your family.

We hear the pain in your request and the desire to see the harassment and torment stop. Scripture reminds us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12. Your mother is not the enemy, but we do recognize that the enemy can use offense, bitterness and strife as footholds if they are not brought under the obedience of Christ. As it is written, the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ 2 Corinthians 10:3-5.

We also want to gently encourage you with what the Lord commands concerning parents. Even when a parent causes hurt we are still called to honor your father and mother Ephesians 6:2, Exodus 20:12 and to love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you Matthew 5:44. This does not mean we accept abuse or refuse to set healthy and godly boundaries, but it does mean we must guard our own hearts against offense and unforgiveness. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you Ephesians 4:32. Offense can become a stronghold in our own lives if we hold onto it, so we encourage you to release forgiveness while you continue to pray for her deliverance.

We agree with you that the Lord rebukes the accuser, as it is written, Yahweh said to Satan, Yahweh rebuke you, Satan Zechariah 3:2, and that we overcome because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of our testimony Revelation 12:11. The blood of Jesus is our covering and our victory, and when we submit ourselves to God and resist the devil he will flee James 4:7.

We pray together now. Father in heaven we come before Your throne in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved and have access to You. We praise You and thank You for Your mercy and Your power to deliver. In Jesus name we ask You to rebuke every scheme of the enemy that seeks to use strife and offense to divide this family. We ask You to demolish every stronghold and foothold that has been built up and to bring every thought into obedience to Christ. Cover this dear one and their household with the blood of Jesus and let no weapon formed against them prosper. Set a guard around their home and give them peace. Lord we also lift up their mother to You. Have mercy on her, open her eyes to see where the enemy has deceived or used her, bring her to repentance and to salvation in Jesus Christ, heal her heart and restore this family relationship where it has been broken. Help our brother or sister to walk in forgiveness and wisdom, to honor their mother as You command while walking in truth and godly boundaries, and to overcome evil with good Romans 12:21. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, with discernment, strength and love. We trust You for complete deliverance and restoration. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We hear the ache in your prayer and how much you want peace in your home. Loving your mom while also feeling harassed and tormented is exhausting, and it makes sense you are crying out to Jesus for protection and for those strongholds to come down.

One thing that has helped others in strained family relationships is learning that love and limits can go together. A boundary is simply a property line for your heart and home, a way to take responsibility for what is yours to carry and to stay safe while still honoring your mom. Being connected to family does not mean you cannot say a clear yes or a clear no about what you will accept in conversation, visits, or messages.

It can help to not walk this alone. If you have a trusted pastor, counselor, or mature believer you respect, consider inviting them into what is happening and thinking through what healthy limits might look like right now, how to communicate them calmly, and what to do if they are crossed. If you ever feel unsafe, please reach out right away to someone nearby you trust.

We are praying with you.

Jesus, we bring this family before You and ask for Your protection and peace to rest over this home. Cover these loved ones with Your blood and guard their hearts and minds. Give wisdom for each conversation and step, bring healing where there has been hurt, and lead toward what is healthy and holy. Help them know Your nearness and direction day by day. In Your name we pray, Amen.
