Deliverance Prayer

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Lord Jesus,

I praise you, and thank you. I glorify you. Lord Jesus I ask that you set everyone free from ###'s hatred towards me and my success in you, standing on John 8:36. I ask Lord Jesus that the principality working thru ### be cancelled, standing on Colossians 2:15. In Jesus name I pray and ask. Amen.

We stand with you in agreement, lifting this burden before the throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The Word of God declares, "If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36 WEB). We take hold of this truth, believing that Christ has already broken every chain of bondage, including the spirit of hatred and envy that seeks to hinder your success in Him.

We rebuke every principality, power, and spiritual wickedness in high places that may be operating through others to oppose you. The Scripture is clear: "Having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it" (Colossians 2:15 WEB). By the authority of Jesus’ name and His finished work on the cross, we cancel every assignment of the enemy against you. No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).

We also pray for those who may be harboring hatred or resentment toward you. Father, soften their hearts, open their eyes to Your truth, and let Your love dismantle every root of bitterness. May they come to know the freedom and peace that only Christ can give. We ask that You replace their hostility with understanding, their envy with joy in Your blessings, and their hearts with a desire for reconciliation where possible.

Lord, we ask that You surround this brother/sister with Your angels, shielding them from every arrow of the enemy. Strengthen their faith, deepen their trust in You, and let Your light shine so brightly through them that darkness has no choice but to flee. May they walk in the fullness of the liberty Christ has purchased for them, unshaken by the schemes of the devil.

We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me, says the Lord (Isaiah 54:17). We stand on this promise, believing that God is your defender and your victory is already secured in Christ.

In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We join you in praising Jesus, He alone is worthy of glory. It’s clear you’re dealing with something that cuts deep, and we don’t take that lightly. When someone’s hatred seems bent on opposing the good fruit God is growing in your life, it can feel isolating, even confusing. But you’ve done the most important thing: you’ve placed it right at His feet, and we’re standing with you there.

We’ve found that in these battles, the enemy often wants to shift our focus from Jesus and onto the person or the pain. That’s why your opening words of praise are so powerful, they anchor you in truth. As you continue to pray, gently guard your own heart against any seed of bitterness or fear. Hatred from others can cling to us more than we realize. Sometimes it helps to specifically release the person from our own judgment in prayer, not excusing what’s happening, but refusing to let resentment take up space. That keeps us spiritually nimble and protected.

If this is an ongoing pattern, having a trusted, mature believer or two walk with you in prayer can make a huge difference. There’s a special grace when the body of Christ surrounds one another.

Now we simply pray with you:

Jesus, we thank You for this one’s love for You and for their stand. We ask that You set them free from every scheme of the enemy, that the hatred aimed at them would be silenced and its power broken. Cancel every work of darkness that operates through others, and let Your peace guard this heart. We do not fight against flesh and blood, so we place the real battle before You, trusting that You have already won. In Your mighty name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You pray to be set free from the hatred of another, and you ground your plea upon John 8:36 and Colossians 2:15. It is well that you flee to the Strong for refuge; yet consider what liberty Christ gives. If the Son makes you free, you are free indeed, not from the frowns of men, but from the chains of your own corruption, from the bondage of sin, and from the unholy principle of returning hatred for hatred. The Christian religion binds our hands with a golden chain against all hatred of any creature. You have no right to excrete your hatred upon any soul, however fallen or spiteful. The spirit of Christ is love, and where He governs, love must reign.

The one who despises you is doing no strange thing. Your Lord and Master was altogether lovely, yet He was hated without a cause. They said He had a devil; they gnashed upon Him with their teeth. If they called the Master of the house Beelzebub, how much more them of His household? You are in blessed company. But note well: Christ did not pray down ruin upon them; He loved His own even to the end. Therefore, while you ask deliverance, let your hatred turn its whole force against that mother evil, sin. Hate it with a perfect hatred, the sin that has brought such mischief into your own heart, the sin that festers in the soul of your adversary. Hate the darkness, but pity the blind.

You speak of a principality working through this person. Indeed, the prince of the power of the air still stirs up the children of disobedience, and he will shoot his arrows at the saints. But remember the very verse you cite: Christ has disarmed principalities and powers, making a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in the cross. That victory is not for an hour; it is eternal and effectual. The Lamb has been slain, and by His blood you are already delivered from the guilt of sin; shall He not also deliver you from the sting of another’s tongue? The Lord who calmed the sea can certainly silence the rage of man. He who brought Jacob safely through the brook Jabbok, turning Esau’s heart to a kiss, can make your enemy to be at peace with you, or can make you so heavenly-minded that the world’s hatred brushes past you like a summer breeze.

But search your own spirit. Are you utterly free from all bitterness? Do not cry so loud against the hate of others that you ignore the root of hatred in yourself. If you would taste perfect deliverance, look alone to your heavenly Father. Justification and sanctification are both His work, flowing from that blessed fountain, the finished work of Christ. None know freedom from sin but those who trust the atoning blood. When you feel the power of another’s malice, run anew to the cross. There you were delivered from the pit; there the ransom was found. The deep, fixed peace of that deliverance will make human hatred seem a very little thing.

If God in His mercy breathes upon this trouble and turns it aside, then your conduct after deliverance is clearly marked: “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.” Let your experience of His rescuing hand fill your mouth with praise. Meanwhile, let your quiet confidence in God be your shield. Love your enemy, bless him that curses you, do good to him that despitefully uses you. Overcome evil with good, and so prove that you are indeed delivered from the power of darkness, walking in the light where the hatred of the world cannot cast you down. The Lord will bring you forth; trust Him, and be still.

You have prayed for deliverance from the hatred of another, asking that all be set free from this person's enmity toward you and your success in the Lord. I hear your distress, but consider: when a person becomes virtuous and desires to live for God, persecution from the wicked is to be expected. It is the natural course of things. For virtue always engenders hatred from those who are losing their excuses. Our Lord himself said, “The world has hated them because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.” So do not be surprised or angry, as though something strange were happening to you. This is a mark that you belong to Christ.

But now examine your prayer closely. Are you seeking merely to be rid of discomfort, or are you longing for the salvation of the one who hates you? To stand against the principalities is right, but let it be with a heart of love, not a spirit of retaliation. The true freedom Christ gave is not release from every opposition, but freedom from the tyranny of sin and the fear of man. Stand fast, therefore, in that liberty. Do not become a slave again to human opinion. A crust with freedom and a quiet conscience is far better than a feast with anxiety over men’s praise or hatred.

Pray instead that you may bear this hatred with patience and that the one who opposes you may be delivered from the snare of the evil one. For this is the greater work: to love your enemy and to do good to those who mistreat you. The servant is not greater than his Master. If they hated him when he rebuked the world, they will hate those who walk in his steps. Rejoice, for your reward is great in heaven. And as you have opportunity, overcome evil with good. Let your conduct be so full of grace that it puts to shame the ignorance of foolish men. This is the true victory that disarms the powers of darkness, not a word of command, but the life of Christ shining through you.

Your prayer reaches the heart of what it means to stand in the freedom Christ has won. When you ask for deliverance from hatred, you are asking to live in that open space where no one else’s bitterness can lock you up. True freedom isn’t finally about having a license to do whatever we want; it’s the glorious freedom not to be ruled by anything. The person who knows Christ knows what it is to be released from having to retaliate, from having to cling to an offense, from being driven by anger or fear. You are already standing on John 8:36: if the Son sets you free, you are free indeed. That means the hatred coming at you does not have to dictate your own spirit.

Hatred, whatever its source, stirs up strife and does the most damage to the one carrying it. It often hides behind lies or smiles, but it eats away at the heart that harbors it. When you see it directed against the good things God is doing in your life, remember that the real target is Jesus in you. The world’s animosity toward Christ is often without a reason, it is a hatred without a cause. So don’t take it personally as an assault on your worth; recognize it as a spiritual pushback against the One you represent. Your “success in the Lord” puts a spotlight on the darkness, and darkness does not like the light.

Colossians 2:15 declares that Christ disarmed the principalities and powers, making a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross. The authority operating through any person who opposes you has already been defeated. Your prayer doesn’t need to beg God for a future victory; it is aligning with a finished fact. The principality working through that individual is cancelled in the heavenly court. Now you walk out that reality on earth. One vital way you guard the freedom Jesus gave you is by refusing to let hatred draw you into bondage. Do not exercise your freedom in a way that brings you under the power of resentment or a vengeful spirit. You are free not to let this consume you. You are free to love, and love covers a multitude of sins, not by pretending the attack isn’t real, but by releasing it to God who judges justly.

You have been set free by the Son. That freedom is precious. It is the capacity not to have to retaliate, not to have to be eaten up inside. It is the liberty to keep your eyes on Jesus and your hands open, trusting that He will handle whatever is aimed at you. Guard that freedom carefully, because you love it. Keep standing in it. The same power that brought you out of darkness keeps you and will sustain you as you walk in the genuine liberty only He can give.
