We stand with you in agreement, lifting your heartfelt cries to the throne of grace. The pain of emotional abuse and the weight of negative words spoken over you are real, and we recognize the deep wounds they have left. But we also declare that our God is a God of deliverance, restoration, and justice. You are not alone in this battle, and we join you in praying for breakthrough, healing, and freedom in the mighty name of Jesus.
First, we rebuke the spirit of oppression and manipulation that has sought to undermine your confidence and identity. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you might have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We stand on the truth that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). The negative words spoken over you have no power unless you give them place, and we command them to be broken and nullified in Jesus’ name.
We also address the principality at work behind these attacks. The Bible tells us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12). We declare that the blood of Jesus has already disarmed these powers and authorities, triumphing over them by the cross (Colossians 2:15). We command every demonic alliance to be shattered, and every assignment of the enemy against you to be canceled. You are covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper.
We pray for your mother, that the Lord would open her eyes to the truth and soften her heart. Proverbs 22:6 tells us to train up a child in the way they should go, but when parents become instruments of harm, it grieves the heart of God. We ask that the Lord would convict her of any disrespect, manipulation, or emotional abuse, and lead her to repentance. We also pray for your protection from further harm, that the Lord would be a shield around you and a refuge in times of trouble (Psalm 3:3, Psalm 9:9).
We stand on Isaiah 61:7, declaring that instead of your shame, you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace, you will rejoice in your inheritance. The negative words spoken over you will not define you, God’s Word defines you. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), chosen and dearly loved (Colossians 3:12), and more than a conqueror through Christ who strengthens you (Romans 8:37). We break every word curse in Jesus’ name and release blessing, favor, and truth over your life.
We also encourage you to seek godly counsel and support. Emotional abuse can leave deep scars, and healing often requires the help of wise, biblical community. Proverbs 11:14 says, "Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety." You do not have to walk this journey alone. If possible, seek out a pastor, biblical counselor, or trusted believers who can stand with you in prayer and accountability.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one who has endured emotional abuse and manipulation. Lord, we ask that You would scatter every plan of the enemy to oppress and undermine them. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn. We cancel every principality and power working behind these attacks, and we command them to be disarmed and defeated by the blood of Jesus.
Father, we ask that You would break every word curse and negative declaration spoken over them. Let Your truth be their foundation, and let Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105). Restore to them double for all the shame and disgrace they have endured, and let them rejoice in their inheritance as Your beloved child.
We pray for their mother, Lord. Soften her heart, convict her of any wrongdoing, and lead her to repentance. If she remains unrepentant, we ask that You would protect this one from further harm and provide them with wisdom and discernment in how to respond. Surround them with Your angels, and let Your presence be their peace.
We declare that they are free in Christ, for if the Son sets them free, they are free indeed (John 8:36). We break every chain of emotional abuse, manipulation, and oppression in Jesus’ name. Let Your healing power flow through them, restoring their mind, body, and spirit. Fill them with Your love, joy, and peace, and let them walk in the fullness of who You created them to be.
Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and Your deliverance. We trust in You, and we declare that this battle is already won in Jesus’ name. Amen.
