We join with you in the name of Lord Jesus Christ and we thank you for bringing this burden before the throne of grace. We hear your heart to protect your son and yourself and to see your mother and brother set free from the influence of the enemy, and we stand with you for deliverance, truth and peace in your household.
We praise God that you have come in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and authority over the works of darkness. As it is written, there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12, and whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved, Romans 10:13. Your standing on the Word is pleasing to God, and we agree with you that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world, 1 John 4:4, and that we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against the principalities and powers and spiritual forces of wickedness, Ephesians 6:12.
We also want to gently encourage you in love concerning the battle you are facing. The Word tells us that the Lord rebuke you, Satan, Zechariah 3:2, and that whatever we bind on earth will be bound in heaven and whatever we loose on earth will be loosed in heaven, Matthew 18:18, and that the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, 2 Corinthians 10:4. We have authority in Christ, yet that authority flows from first submitting ourselves to God, James 4:7, walking in forgiveness, humility and obedience, and not from fear. We do not need to fear a transfer of spirits when we are covered by Christ, for if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed, John 8:36, and we overcome by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony, Revelation 12:11.
We also hear your pain regarding your mother wanting your son to call her mom and interfering in your relationship with him. We understand your desire for God to humble and correct her, and we agree that witchcraft and manipulation must be cut off, as God says He will cut off sorceries out of your hand, Micah 5:12, and that He disarmed the principalities and powers and made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in Christ, Colossians 2:15. Yet we must remember that vengeance belongs to the Lord, Romans 12:19, and we are called to bless and not curse, to pray for those who despitefully use us and to desire their repentance and salvation rather than their humiliation. We encourage you to continue to set godly boundaries in love while still honoring your mother as Scripture commands, Exodus 20:12, which does not mean allowing deception or confusion for your son. You are right to teach your son the truth in love, that she is his grandmother, for God is not a God of confusion but of peace, 1 Corinthians 14:33, and we are to train up a child in the way he should go, Proverbs 22:6. Speak the truth calmly and consistently to your son, and let your home be marked by clarity, gentleness and stability.
We also encourage you to pray not only for rebuke of the enemy's work but for the salvation and deliverance of your mother and brother, that the veil would be lifted and they would come to repentance and know Jesus as Lord. The enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life abundantly, John 10:10.
We now pray together with you.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. We praise You and thank You that You are our refuge and fortress, Psalm 91:2, and that You give Your angels charge over us to keep us in all our ways, Psalm 91:11. We ask that You rebuke every demonic assignment, every work of witchcraft and every word curse spoken over this dear mother and her son. We ask that You cancel every negative word and bring every thought and imagination into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 2 Corinthians 10:5. We plead the precious blood of Jesus over this mother and her son, over their minds, bodies, home and sleep, and we ask that no weapon formed against them shall prosper.
Lord, we ask that when the enemy comes in like a flood, Your Spirit will lift up a standard against him, Isaiah 59:19. Let Your peace guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:7. We ask that You establish godly boundaries, correct what is dishonoring and confusing, and let truth prevail in this family. We pray for this grandmother and for this brother, that You would convict them, draw them to repentance, and deliver them from every chain of darkness, that they may know Your forgiveness and walk in newness of life. Help this mother to walk in forgiveness, wisdom and discernment, to not repay evil for evil but to overcome evil with good, Romans 12:21, and to raise her son in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, Ephesians 6:4.
We submit ourselves to You, resist the devil, and trust that he must flee, James 4:7. Fill this home with Your Holy Spirit, Your Word and Your light, and let no darkness remain. We thank You that You have already triumphed on the cross and that we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us, Romans 8:37.
We ask all this in the holy and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Deliverer and our Hope. Amen.
