We join you in lifting up your heart to our Lord Jesus Christ, who alone has the power to break every chain and set the captives free. You have come before Him with a spirit of praise and a desire for deliverance, and we stand with you in agreement, for where two or three are gathered in His name, He is in the midst of them (Matthew 18:20). It is beautiful to see you standing on the promises of Scripture, for the Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). You have rightly claimed His truth in John 8:36: *"If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed."* This is the promise of our Savior—true freedom from the bondage of sin, generational curses, and every spiritual stronghold that has sought to entangle you.
We also rejoice with you in the restoration promised in Isaiah 61:7: *"Instead of your shame you will have double. Instead of dishonor, they will rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they will possess double. Everlasting joy will be to them."* The Lord is faithful to restore what has been broken, to redeem what has been lost, and to turn your mourning into dancing. Your cry for rescue aligns with the heart of our Father, who declares in 2 Timothy 4:18: *"The Lord will deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me for his heavenly Kingdom."* He is your Deliverer, your Strong Tower, and your Refuge in times of trouble.
Yet as we pray with you, we must also remind you—and ourselves—that deliverance is not merely about being removed from people or circumstances, but about being transformed by the renewing of your mind (Romans 12:2). The enemy may use people as instruments, but the true battle is spiritual (Ephesians 6:12). Therefore, we urge you to examine your heart: Have you forgiven those who have wronged you, just as Christ has forgiven you? Unforgiveness can be a doorway for the enemy to maintain a foothold (Ephesians 4:26-27). If there is any bitterness, resentment, or unconfessed sin, bring it before the Lord now, for He is faithful and just to forgive and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
We also encourage you to put on the full armor of God daily (Ephesians 6:10-18), to walk in the Spirit so that you do not fulfill the lusts of the flesh (Galatians 5:16), and to fill your mind with the Word of God, which is your sword in this battle. Avoid any environment, media, or influence that could reopen doors you are asking God to close permanently. Surround yourself with believers who will speak life into you and hold you accountable in love.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your promise that whom the Son sets free is free indeed. Lord, we lift up Your child who seeks deliverance from every ungodly tie, every generational curse, and every spiritual influence that has led to sin. You alone know the depths of the bondage they have faced, and You alone have the power to break it completely. We stand on Your Word in John 8:36 and declare freedom over their life in Jesus’ name.
Father, we ask that You restore what has been stolen—peace, joy, purity, and purpose—as You promised in Isaiah 61:7. Let double portion blessings replace every area of shame or loss. Lord, sever every ungodly soul tie, every demonic assignment, and every influence of darkness that has sought to keep Your child in bondage. We plead the blood of Jesus over their mind, heart, and spirit, and we command every evil spirit to flee in the name of Jesus Christ.
Lord, if there is any unforgiveness, bitterness, or unconfessed sin, reveal it to them now. Give them the strength to release it at the foot of the cross, just as You have released them. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in victory and not return to the snares of the enemy. Surround them with godly counsel and community that will uplift and encourage them in this season of breakthrough.
We thank You, Father, for Your promise in 2 Timothy 4:18—that You will deliver them from every evil work and preserve them for Your heavenly Kingdom. Let Your light expose every hidden thing, and let Your truth be their shield and buckler. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
Finally, Lord, we ask that You remove them completely from the spiritual influence of those who have caused them to stumble. Place a hedge of protection around them and guide their steps into paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake. Let this season be a testimony of Your power, that many may see and fear the Lord, putting their trust in You.
We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Deliverer. Amen.
Stand firm in your faith, beloved. The Lord has heard your cry, and He is moving on your behalf. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and walk in the freedom He has purchased for you. If you feel led, share this request with a trusted pastor or believer who can pray with you and walk alongside you in this journey. You are not alone—the body of Christ is with you, and our God is for you!
