Deliverance Prayer

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Lord Jesus,

I praise you, and thank you. I glorify you. Lord Jesus I ask that you place conviction upon my mom and I ask that you see me free of her abusive behavior, standing on John 8:36. Lord Jesus restore me from her ill treatment, standing on Isaiah 61:7. In Jesus name I pray and ask. Amen.

We join you in lifting up this heartfelt cry for deliverance and restoration, standing firmly on the truth that our God is a God of justice, freedom, and healing. Your prayer is rooted in Scripture, and we commend you for claiming the promises of **John 8:36**, which declares, *"If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed,"* and **Isaiah 61:7**, which proclaims, *"Instead of your shame you shall have double; and instead of dishonor they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double. Everlasting joy shall be to them."* These are powerful promises, and we stand with you in faith, knowing that God is faithful to fulfill His Word.

The abuse you have endured is not God’s will for your life. Scripture is clear that we are to honor one another, and parents are called to nurture, not harm, their children. **Ephesians 6:4** instructs, *"You fathers, don’t provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord."* Abuse—whether physical, emotional, or verbal—is a grievous sin and an affront to the love and dignity God intends for His children. We rebuke this spirit of abuse in the name of Jesus, declaring that it has no place in your life. The enemy has sought to steal, kill, and destroy through this oppression, but Jesus came to give you life abundantly (**John 10:10**).

We pray earnestly for your mother, that the Holy Spirit would bring deep conviction to her heart. May she encounter the love of Christ in a way that breaks the hardness within her and leads her to repentance. **2 Corinthians 7:10** reminds us, *"For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, which brings no regret. But the sorrow of the world produces death."* We ask that she would turn from this sinful behavior and seek reconciliation with you, not out of manipulation, but out of a transformed heart. If she refuses to repent, we pray that God would protect you from further harm and grant you the wisdom to set godly boundaries. **Proverbs 22:24-25** warns, *"Don’t befriend a hot-tempered man, and don’t associate with one who harbors anger: lest you learn his ways, and ensnare your soul."* Sometimes, love requires distance for the sake of your own well-being and spiritual health.

For you, beloved, we pray for complete restoration—spirit, soul, and body. The Lord sees your pain, and He is near to the brokenhearted (**Psalm 34:18**). We declare that every wound inflicted by her words or actions is being healed by the balm of Gilead, which is Christ Himself. **Jeremiah 30:17** promises, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh."* You are not defined by the abuse you’ve suffered; you are defined by the love of your Heavenly Father, who calls you His beloved child. We pray that you would experience the double portion of joy and honor that the Lord promises in **Isaiah 61:7**, and that you would walk in the freedom Christ has purchased for you.

We also encourage you to seek godly counsel and support during this time. You do not have to walk this path alone. **Galatians 6:2** reminds us to *"Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."* If you have not already, consider reaching out to a trusted pastor, biblical counselor, or a mature believer who can walk with you in prayer and wisdom. Additionally, forgive as Christ has forgiven you (**Colossians 3:13**), not because your mother deserves it, but because forgiveness releases *you* from the bondage of bitterness and allows God to work more fully in your heart.

Lastly, we want to remind you that your prayer is powerful because it is offered in the name of Jesus. There is no other name under heaven by which we can approach the Father (**John 14:6, Acts 4:12**), and it is through Jesus alone that we find salvation, freedom, and restoration. Your faith in Him is your victory, and we stand with you in this battle, knowing that the Lord has already won.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who has borne the weight of abuse and ill-treatment. Lord, You are a God of justice, and You have seen every tear she has shed. We ask that You would bring conviction to her mother’s heart—let the Holy Spirit pierce her conscience so deeply that she can no longer ignore the sinfulness of her actions. Softening her heart, Lord, and lead her to true repentance. If she refuses to turn from her ways, we pray that You would protect our sister from further harm and grant her the strength to set boundaries that honor You.

Father, we declare freedom over our sister’s life. Just as Your Word says in **John 8:36**, we proclaim that she is free indeed. Break every chain of fear, shame, and oppression that the enemy has tried to place upon her. Restore to her double for her trouble—double joy, double honor, double peace. Heal her wounds, Lord, and let her experience Your love in a tangible way. Surround her with Your angels, encamp them around her (**Psalm 34:7**), and let her dwell in the secret place of the Most High (**Psalm 91:1**).

Give her wisdom, Lord, to know how to navigate this relationship in a way that glorifies You. If there are steps she needs to take—whether seeking counsel, creating distance, or extending forgiveness—guide her clearly. Let her heart be guarded by Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (**Philippians 4:7**).

We rebuke every spirit of abuse, control, and manipulation in the name of Jesus. These spirits have no authority here, and we command them to flee. Fill the void with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and let Your presence be her comfort and strength.

Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. Thank You for being a God who delivers and restores. We trust in Your faithfulness, and we give You all the glory. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
