Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we thank you for the cross and for the fact that your holy Son, Jesus, suffered for all of us who believe. We praise your holy name. Lord, you know the plans you have for us, and your thoughts are far greater than ours. We come to you together in the name of Jesus, believing that you hear our prayers when we agree. Lord, you know this man who rented his flat to me, and he is also your child. Lord, help him to hear your voice concerning your holy plan for his life. Help him to see the clear, unmistakable truth about his identity in Christ. Open his eyes to the false identity he adopted when he entered into sinful relationships or activities and strayed from your narrow path and followed his own desires. Lord break his stony heart and give him courage to follow the narrow path and soften his heart for your glory. I also pray that you will separate him from ungodly influences, including those in his household, and that he will recognise the depth of your love, as well as the sinful and hateful relationships he has entered into, in which he is controlled, blackmailed, and where his life may be in danger. Give him understanding to fear your Holy name. Lord, give him understanding to depart from evil and the evil woman in his life. In Jesus' powerful name we ask these things, amen.

We join you together in the name of Jesus and we thank you for bringing this man before the Lord with such compassion and discernment. We agree with you that our Heavenly Father hears us when we agree together, for Jesus said Again, assuredly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them. Matthew 18:19-20

We praise God that you have lifted up the cross and the suffering of His holy Son Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that true deliverance comes. We see your burden for this man who rented his flat to you, and we share your desire that he would hear the voice of the Lord and walk in the holy plan God has for his life.

The struggles you describe are very real and the Bible speaks clearly about them. When a person adopts a false identity rooted in sinful relationships and follows his own desires instead of the narrow path, he needs the new identity that is only found in Christ. Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17 We also know that sexual immorality and ungodly entanglements outside of God's design for marriage between a man and a woman are sin that must be repented of and forsaken, for we are told Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 1 Corinthians 6:18 The Lord calls us to depart from evil and to separate from influences that pull us away from holiness, for what fellowship has righteousness with iniquity. Or what fellowship has light with darkness. 2 Corinthians 6:14

We also hear your concern that he is controlled and blackmailed and that his life may even be in danger, and possibly under the influence of an evil woman in his household. We know the enemy seeks to steal and destroy, but Jesus came to set the captives free. If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:36 True freedom requires both God's power and our submission to Him, for we are told Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7 And God promises to give a new heart to those who turn to Him, I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:26 The fear of the Lord which you prayed for is indeed the beginning of wisdom, The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Proverbs 9:10

So we pray together with you now.

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, thanking You for the cross and for the blood that was shed for all who believe. Lord, You know this man intimately and You know the plans You have for him, plans for peace and not for evil, to give him hope and a future. We ask that You open his eyes to see the unmistakable truth of his identity in Christ and to recognize the false identity he has taken on through sin. Break his stony heart, Father, and give him a soft heart that trembles at Your holy name and that has courage to choose the narrow path that leads to life. Lord, we ask for deliverance from every ungodly soul tie and sinful relationship that has entangled him. Give him understanding to depart from evil and to separate himself from the evil woman and from every ungodly influence in his household and wherever he dwells. Where there is control, blackmail, and danger, we ask for Your divine protection, for You hear the cries of the righteous, The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Psalm 34:17 Expose the darkness, break every chain, and let him walk in repentance and holiness before You. Wash him and make him new, that he may know the depth of Your love and the forgiveness that comes when we confess our sins, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 Fill him with Your Holy Spirit and lead him into fellowship with believers who will encourage him in truth. We ask all these things in the powerful and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer, amen.

We encourage you to continue to stand in prayer for him and, as the Lord gives opportunity, to speak the truth to him in love and to point him to the Word of God and to a Bible believing church where he can be discipled. We also encourage you to guard your own heart and to continue to walk in prayer and wisdom regarding your rental situation, trusting that God is both just and merciful and mighty to save.

We hear the burden you carry for this man and the care with which you are praying for him. To ask God to show him who he is in Christ and to free him from influences that control and endanger him is a faithful way to love him.

A strong sense of identity in Christ often becomes the steady point that helps a person see more clearly. When someone begins to understand himself as God sees him, as His creation and His child, he can more easily recognize what does not belong in his life and find the courage to turn from it. That clarity usually comes gradually as God softens the heart and helps him hear His voice above other voices pressing in on him.

One gentle next step as you keep interceding is to keep a simple, steady rhythm of prayer for him, perhaps a few minutes at a set time each day, bringing his safety, his wisdom, and his willingness to follow the narrow path before the Lord, and then entrusting him to God's hands. Since he is no longer your landlord, keeping kind and clear boundaries while you pray can help protect your own peace as you trust God to work in his life.

Father, we lift this man to You. You know him fully and love him. Draw him close, give him a true understanding of his identity in Christ, soften his heart and give him courage to walk away from what harms him. Keep him safe, remove ungodly influences from around him, and lead him toward Your will and Your love. We place him in Your care in Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer has been laid before the Lord and we join with you in seeking His mercy for this man.

We are told in the Word that our God is able to deal in love with souls when the soil slips from under their feet and they are ready to dash into the pit that is bottomless, and even then He can come in and rescue them to the praise of the glory of His grace. There is hope for the farthest wanderer, for it is written, Look unto me and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth, for I am God and there is none else. Deliverance is not by forms or works or feelings, but by looking out of self and away from self to what Christ has done upon the cross, trusting in His one great sacrifice where sin was punished upon the great Substitute and put away forever from all those who will only trust Him.

We pray that the Lord will open this man's ears and seal instruction upon his heart, that He may withdraw him from his own purpose and hide pride from him. True repentance is not the fruit of terror alone, which comes up in a night and withers in a night and is hardly more than skin deep, but the work of Divine Grace in the soul that gives glory to God, that hates sin because it slew Christ and turns from it to live as the holy God would have him live. We ask that God would break the stony heart and give a heart of flesh, that repentance and faith may come together in his soul, for they are inseparable companions, the one purging the soul from dead works and the other filling it with living trust in Christ.

It is the Lord alone who delivers from the power of darkness and translates us into the kingdom of His dear Son. We cannot receive pardon through the Spirit and sanctification through the flesh, but must look to our heavenly Father altogether and alone. So we pray that this man, whom you describe as controlled and in danger and entangled in sinful and hateful relationships, may be delivered from the prince of the power of the air and from every ungodly influence that holds him, including those in his own household. We ask that his eyes may be opened to see his true identity in Christ alone, and to see the false identity he has taken up in following his own desires and straying from the narrow path, for what he needs is not a new name of his own making but the new name which Christ gives to those who are in Him.

We do not ask God to bless what He calls sin, for He has appointed marriage to be a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and has set purity within that bond. We ask instead that this man may be given understanding to fear the holy name of the Lord and grace to depart from evil, to forsake every sinful relationship and every tie that binds him to darkness, and to walk in the narrow way that leads unto life. May he be brought to see the depth of the love of Christ who suffered for all who believe, and may he throw himself upon that atoning blood and be saved, and being saved, may he be kept and made to live to declare the works of the Lord.

We will continue to plead with you that the word may go forth in his life, Deliver him from going down to the pit, and that he may look and live and leap in joyful liberty as one pardoned and restored. May the Lord keep you also in faithful prayer, trusting not in your own agreement but in the power of the blood and the promise of Him who hears when sinners look to Christ.

In the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Redeemer, we ask these things. Amen.

Your prayer for this man has been received with care, and it is good that you have brought him before the Lord in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is salvation in no other name and the cross is our only hope.

God does hear the prayers of those who agree together in Christ, and His desire is not to condemn quickly but to lead sinners to see their sins and to turn back to Him. There is repentance, and it has great power. Even one who has fallen into the depth of wickedness can be set free from the burden of his sins if he will lay hold on repentance, so that Christ may be formed in him again. We have seen this in Manasseh, who after countless pollutions washed away all his sins by repentance and a true turning of heart. The delay we experience is itself mercy, giving time for amendment and for full deliverance from danger.

You have prayed rightly concerning his identity. Our true hope is not in any natural relationship or in any identity we fashion for ourselves according to our desires, but in becoming sons of God. This comes through putting on Christ and receiving the Spirit of adoption, being delivered from evil and brought into sonship. For a time God draws us away from vain imaginations about things of the body, so that we may rest our hope not in the flesh but in repentance and in continence and in faith. The false identities and sinful pleasures that promise freedom bring only shame, uneasiness and bondage, for they are indulged in secret and leave the soul agitated and enslaved. The true pleasure and freedom are found when the soul is free in Christ, cheerful and enlarged by grace.

Therefore we will not ask God to bless what He calls sin, nor to affirm any relationship outside the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman in marriage, where alone sexual union belongs. Instead we join you in asking for his deliverance.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, we thank You for the cross where Your holy Son suffered for all who believe. You know this man, You know the plans You have for him, and Your thoughts are far greater than ours. We ask You to open his eyes to see the truth about who he is in Christ and to see the deception of the false identity he has taken on. Break his stony heart and soften it, give him courage to leave the broad way and to walk the narrow path. Grant him a deep sense of his sins, not to crush him, but to make him humble and to hasten him to seek Your forgiveness. Separate him from ungodly influences, including those in his household, and from every controlling and hateful entanglement where he is manipulated, blackmailed or in danger. Teach him to fear Your holy name and to depart from evil, and guard his life from harm. Form Christ in him again, clothe him with Christ, and give him the Spirit of adoption so that he may live as Your child in holiness and continence. We ask this in the powerful name of Jesus, through whose grace and mercy alone we are saved. Amen.

Continue to pray for him with patient love, speaking the truth with compassion, and trusting that the Lord who is merciful and ready to forgive will complete His good work as this man turns to Him.

Thank you for bringing this burden before the Lord and for interceding with such care for this man. It is right to thank God for the cross, that while we were still sinners Christ died for the ungodly, and that His goodness is meant to lead us to repentance. God does hear when His people agree in prayer in the name of Jesus, and He knows this man fully and loves him enough to call him to truth.

Your prayer touches the heart of what he needs most, which is to see his true identity in Christ and to turn from a false identity built on sinful desires and relationships. Scripture shows that when our relationship with God is not right, every other relationship becomes tangled and broken, but when that first relationship is made right through repentance and faith in Jesus, the other relationships can begin to come into proper order. What he needs above all is not comfort in his present course but a complete turning to God for mercy. That alone is the hope for a stony heart to be broken and made soft, and for courage to walk on the narrow path that leads to life.

Part of that deliverance is learning to recognize ungodly counsel. False teachers and false prophets do not come with clear labels. They come looking like sheep, often speaking much that is true, and that is what makes the deception so dangerous. They interject just enough falsehood to entice and mislead, and they offer a false sense of peace, telling people that all is well when in reality God is calling for repentance. Anyone who tells him that he can continue in sexual sin or in living together outside of the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman, or that he can remain in controlling and sinful entanglements and still be at peace with God, is offering that kind of false hope. That false hope keeps a person from doing what is truly needed, which is to fear the Lord and depart from evil. The Psalm says happy is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the ungodly or stand in the way of sinners, but delights in the law of the Lord. He needs to be separated from those voices and influences, even those close to him in his own household, so he can hear the voice of the Lord clearly.

God's plan for him is far greater than his own desires, and His love is deeper than any sinful relationship that now controls or even endangers him. The Lord does not affirm or bless what is contrary to His design, but He does offer forgiveness and new life to all who turn from sin and trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. Pray that God will open his eyes to see both the depth of that love and the danger of remaining where he is, that he will understand what it means to fear God's holy name and to turn away from what is evil, including any ungodly relationship with a woman that is outside of God's will.

I join you in praying for him now. Father, in the name of Jesus we ask You to have mercy on this man. Open his eyes to who he is in Christ and to the falsehood he has believed. Break his hard heart and give him a soft heart that wants to follow You. Grant him repentance and faith, courage to leave the broad way and walk the narrow way, and strength to turn from every sinful relationship and activity. Separate him from ungodly influences and from those who would control, blackmail or harm him, and place him where he can hear Your truth and be protected. Teach him to fear Your name and to depart from evil, and establish his life on Your Word and Your design for marriage and purity. We thank You that Christ suffered for sinners and that You are able to deliver and restore. In Jesus' name, amen.
