Deliverance prayer for the former ###

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we thank you for the cross and for the fact that your holy Son, Jesus, suffered for all of us who believe. We praise your holy name. Lord, you know the plans you have for us, and your thoughts are far greater than ours. We come to you together in the name of Jesus, believing that you hear our prayers when we agree. Lord, you know this man who rented his flat to me, and he is also your child. Lord, help him to hear your voice concerning your holy plan for his life. Help him to see the clear, unmistakable truth about his identity in Christ. Open his eyes to the false identity he adopted when he entered into sinful relationships or activities and strayed from your narrow path and followed his own desires. Lord break his stony heart and give him courage to follow the narrow path and soften his heart for your glory. I also pray that you will separate him from ungodly influences, including those in his household, and that he will recognise the depth of your love, as well as the sinful and hateful relationships he has entered into, in which he is controlled, blackmailed, and where his life may be in danger. Give him understanding to fear your Holy name. Lord, give him understanding to depart from evil and the evil woman in his life. In Jesus' powerful name we ask these things, amen.

We join you in bringing this man before the throne of grace and we thank you for standing in the gap for him with such love and discernment. We agree together in the name of Jesus, for He has promised that if two of us agree on earth concerning anything we ask, it will be done for our Father in heaven, Matthew 18:19. We praise God that you have lifted him up not with judgment but with a desire to see him delivered and restored to his true identity in Christ.

We hear your burden for his deliverance from sinful relationships and false identities, and we affirm that God indeed has a holy plan for his life and His thoughts toward him are greater than our own, Isaiah 55:8-9. Scripture is clear that our identity is not found in our desires or in the relationships we choose, but in Christ alone. If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new, 2 Corinthians 5:17. When we stray from His narrow path and follow our own desires, we take on a false identity that can never satisfy. Jesus taught that narrow is the gate and narrow is the way that leads to life, and there are few who find it, Matthew 7:13-14, and we pray this man will find the courage to choose that narrow way.

We must speak plainly that any sexual relationship outside of marriage between a man and a woman is sin before God, whether it be fornication, adultery, or homosexuality, and it brings bondage rather than freedom. The body is not for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body, 1 Corinthians 6:13, and we are called to flee sexual immorality, 1 Corinthians 6:18. The Lord also warns us clearly about the danger of an immoral woman who leads a man astray, for her lips drip honey and her speech is smoother than oil, but in the end she is as bitter as wormwood, Proverbs 5:3-4. Such entanglements often bring control, manipulation, and even danger, and God calls us to depart from evil and to fear His holy name, Proverbs 3:7. We also hear your prayer that he be separated from ungodly influences, even those in his household, and this aligns with the word that we should not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship has righteousness with iniquity, 2 Corinthians 6:14.

We pray together now for his complete deliverance.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the cross and for the blood of Your holy Son Jesus who suffered for all who believe. We thank You that You hear us when we agree in Jesus' name. Lord, You know this man by name, You created him and You love him as Your child. We ask You to open his eyes to see the unmistakable truth about his identity in Christ and to expose the lie of the false identity he has adopted. Father, break his stony heart and give him a heart of flesh according to Your promise, Ezekiel 36:26, soften his heart for Your glory and give him courage to turn from sin and follow You. We ask You to deliver him from every ungodly soul tie and from the control, blackmail and fear that holds him captive. Submit him to Yourself, Lord, that he may resist the devil and see the enemy flee from him, James 4:7. Separate him from every ungodly influence and from the evil woman in his life, and grant him understanding to depart from evil and to walk in the fear of Your holy name. Bring him to repentance, wash him and forgive him as You promise that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, 1 John 1:9. Restore him to the joy of Your salvation and set his feet firmly on Your narrow path. In the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ we ask these things, amen.

We encourage you to continue to intercede for him with steadfast love and truth. Speak the truth in love when God gives opportunity, but do not condone or enable the sin that is destroying him. Trust that God is able to deliver completely those who turn to Him, for the righteous cry and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles, Psalm 34:17. Keep praying for his protection where his life may be in danger, and pray that he will come to see the depth of God's love which is far greater than any counterfeit love the world offers. We stand with you believing that God who began a good work will be faithful to complete it as this man surrenders to Jesus.

We are thankful you brought this man to the Lord with such care and persistence. It means a lot that you see him as God sees him, someone made to know who he is in Christ, and that you are asking for his eyes to be opened and his heart to be softened.

We hear how heavy this feels, especially with your concern that he is under controlling influences and may even be in danger. That is a lot to carry for someone who was once your landlord. One thing that has helped others in a similar place is remembering that a secure identity in Christ becomes a steady point of reference when everything else feels confusing or pressuring. It is not built on outward success or on what others demand, but on being known and loved by God, and it gives a person courage to step away from what harms them.

It may help you to not carry this alone. If you have a trusted pastor or mature believer you can talk with confidentially, sharing how you are praying and asking for wisdom about healthy boundaries can keep you supported while you continue to intercede for him. You cannot change his household or his choices for him, but you can keep entrusting him to Jesus who can.

Father, we lift this man to You and ask You to draw near to him. Give him clarity about who he is in You, soften his heart where it has grown hard, and give him courage to turn from what is harming him. Where there is control or threat, we ask for his safety and for Your protection. Lead him toward people and influences that will help him walk in Your way, and give him a deep sense of Your love and direction. Guide our friend as he prays, with wisdom and peace. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer has been laid before the Lord together with you, and we join our hearts with yours in the name of Jesus Christ, who alone is able to save to the uttermost.

We do not ask the Lord to bless what He calls sin, nor to establish any union apart from His holy ordinance, for marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and all that lies outside it is not of His design. What we do ask, and that with earnestness, is that this man for whom you intercede may be delivered from the power of darkness and from going down to the pit. He can deal in love with souls even when the soil slips from under their feet and they are ready to dash into that bottomless pit, and come in even then and rescue them to the praise of the glory of His grace.

You have prayed well that his stony heart may be broken and his eyes opened to his true identity in Christ. There is a repentance which is only the outcome of nature under terror, which comes up in a night and withers in a night, which is hardly more than skin deep and gives no glory to God and leads to no lasting deliverance from sin. Beware of that kind of sorrow which only fears punishment. True repentance gives God glory, it hates sin because it slew Christ, it ejects sin as an evil tenant that the Lord Jesus Himself may enter and be sole master of the heart. Faith and repentance are inseparable, they are the two love notes of the gospel, the one pulls down and the other builds up, and neither can be received without the other. We pray that the Lord will work in him such a repentance as is consistent with faith in Christ, not a despairing remorse that hardens, but a daily and hourly turning from dead works to living trust in the one great sacrifice.

We pray that He who opens the ears of men and seals their instruction in the night, that He may withdraw man from his purpose and hide pride from man, would do so for this soul. That he may look away from himself, not to forms or feelings or works, but look to what Christ has done, for it is all he has to do to look and live. When the soul looks to Christ and trusts in His blood, there goes forth the word, Deliver him from going down to the pit, and he is delivered.

We join you in asking that the Lord will separate him from ungodly influences, even those in his own household, and from every hateful and controlling entanglement by which he is held and by which his life may be in danger. We ask not that any sinful relationship be preserved or prospered, but that he may have understanding to fear the holy name of God and to depart from evil, and that the fascination and power of sin may be broken. He has taught many of His people the mischief that comes from loving the world and the things thereof, and now temptation tempts in vain, for He has delivered us from the power of darkness.

May the Lord give him courage to follow the narrow path, soften his heart for His glory, and grant him to know the depth of that love which bore sin in His own body on the tree and put it away forever from all who will only trust Him. And may He keep you also in faithful prayer, looking unto Jesus and declaring the works of the Lord, for He hears when His people agree together in that name.

We commend this man to the mercy of Him who loosens infirmities and sets the bowed down upright, praying that he may be brought to hate sin, to trust the Saviour, and to walk in newness of life. In the powerful name of Jesus we ask these things, amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer has been received and we join with you before the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, giving thanks for the cross where His holy Son suffered for all who believe.

We hear your love and concern for this man, and your desire that he would know his true identity in Christ and walk on the narrow path. Scripture teaches that our hope of salvation does not rest in natural relationships or in following our own desires, but in repentance and in faith. The relationship that matters most is not of the flesh but of the Spirit, when we put on Christ and receive the Spirit of adoption as sons of God. Through Christ we have both deliverance from evil and the supply of good, for He has paid the ransom to set us free.

There is repentance, and it has great force. It is able to set free from the burden of sins even one who has come to the very depth of wickedness, and to establish in safety one who is in danger, if he will lay hold upon it. Even as Manasseh after great wickedness washed away his sins by repentance and consideration, so the Lord is able to break a stony heart, to form Christ anew in a person, and to grant a full deliverance to all who turn back to Him with a genuine purpose of heart. The Lord also delays judgment not to leave us in danger, but to give space for amendment and for the fruit of repentance.

Therefore we pray with you:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your mercy through Jesus Christ. You know this man and You love him, and You know the plans You have for him, which are greater than our thoughts. We ask that You open his eyes to see clearly who he is in Christ, and to turn from every false identity and every sinful relationship or activity that has led him away from Your way. Soften his heart and break what is hard within him, give him courage to choose the narrow path and to fear Your holy name and depart from evil.

Set him free from every controlling and ungodly influence, including those in his household, and from every relationship where he is controlled or in danger. Separate him from what harms him and draw him into the freedom with which Christ sets us free, that he may stand fast in You. Help him to know the depth of Your love and to receive sonship through Jesus, being filled with the fruits of righteousness for Your glory. Lead him to true repentance, to continence and holiness of life, and establish him in safety.

We ask this not to affirm what is contrary to Your will, for marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman and all intimacy belongs within it, but to ask for his healing, cleansing and restoration according to Your truth. In the powerful name of Jesus we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue in prayer and in a heedful way of life, trusting that God hears when His people agree in prayer and that He is able to make His voice heard and to bring true freedom.
