Deliverance prayer for the former ###

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we thank you for the cross and for the fact that your holy Son, Jesus, suffered for all of us who believe. We praise your holy name. Lord, you know the plans you have for us, and your thoughts are far greater than ours. We come to you together in the name of Jesus, believing that you hear our prayers when we agree. Lord, you know this man who rented his flat to me, and he is also your child. Lord, help him to hear your voice concerning your holy plan for his life. Help him to see the clear, unmistakable truth about his identity in Christ. Open his eyes to the false identity he adopted when he entered into sinful relationships or activities and strayed from your narrow path and followed his own desires. Lord break his stony heart and give him courage to follow the narrow path and soften his heart for your glory. I also pray that you will separate him from ungodly influences, including those in his household, and that he will recognise the depth of your love, as well as the sinful and hateful relationships he has entered into, in which he is controlled, blackmailed, and where his life may be in danger. Give him understanding to fear your Holy name. Lord, give him understanding to depart from evil and the evil woman in his life. In Jesus' powerful name we ask these things, amen.

We join with you in prayer for this man and we thank you for your intercession for him, for your heart to see him delivered and restored to the narrow path that leads to life. We agree together that our Father hears us when we pray in the name of Jesus, for Jesus said in Matthew 18:19 that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by our Father who is in heaven. We also rejoice that you have come in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can be saved and no other way to the Father except through Him, as it is written in John 14:6 and Acts 4:12.

We hear your burden for this man who rented his flat to you, and we share your desire that he would know his true identity in Christ and be set free from every false identity and sinful entanglement. The Word tells us in Jeremiah 29:11 that God knows the plans He has for us, plans for peace and not for evil, to give hope and a future, and in Isaiah 55:8 that His thoughts are higher than our thoughts and His ways higher than our ways. His plan for this man is not bondage, confusion, or control, but deliverance and wholeness.

We must speak plainly about the sin you have described, because God calls us to depart from evil and to walk in holiness. Any sexual relationship outside of marriage between a man and a woman is fornication or adultery, which God calls us to flee from as in 1 Corinthians 6:18 and Hebrews 13:4. If the false identity involves homosexual relationships, we must also lovingly say that this too is forbidden and is described as sin in Romans 1:26-27 and 1 Corinthians 6:9-10. God created marriage to be a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and any other sexual union is outside His design and brings spiritual bondage. We also hear your concern about an evil woman in his life and ungodly influences in his household, and Scripture warns us in Proverbs 5:3-5 and Proverbs 7:21-27 about the path of the immoral woman which leads down to death, and in 1 Corinthians 15:33 that evil companionships corrupt good morals, and in 2 Corinthians 6:14 that we should not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. To be controlled, blackmailed and living in danger is not the freedom Christ died to give.

Yet we serve a God who delivers. In 2 Corinthians 5:17 we are told that if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, the old things have passed away, behold all things have become new. In John 8:36 if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed. In Ezekiel 36:26 God promises to take away the stony heart and give a heart of flesh, a soft heart that can hear His voice and fear His holy name. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom as in Proverbs 9:10, and when a man truly fears God he will depart from evil.

We pray together for him now.

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne in the mighty name of Jesus and lift up this man to You. You know him by name, You see his household, his struggles, the relationships that have entangled him and the influences that surround him. Lord, open his eyes to see the truth about who he is in Christ and the lie of every false identity he has taken on through sin. Break his stony heart, Father, and give him a new heart that is tender toward You. Give him courage to choose the narrow gate and the hard way that leads to life as in Matthew 7:13-14, even when it costs him.

Lord, we ask You to deliver him from every ungodly soul tie and sinful relationship, whether it be fornication, adultery or homosexuality, and cleanse him as in 1 John 1:9 when he confesses and repents. Separate him from ungodly influences, even those in his own household, and place godly people around him who will speak truth in love. We ask You to break every chain of control, manipulation and blackmail, and to protect his life from danger, for You are our deliverer as in Psalm 34:17 and 2 Timothy 4:18. Help him to submit himself to You and resist the devil so that the enemy will flee from him as in James 4:7. Teach him to fear Your holy name and to depart from evil and from the evil woman who has led him astray, and lead him into purity and, in Your timing, into a godly marriage if it is Your will, that he may honor You. Let him know the depth of Your love that casts out fear and brings repentance.

We also pray for Your strength for the one interceding, that You would give wisdom to show Christlike love without condoning sin, to speak the truth with grace, and to continue to stand in the gap until deliverance comes. We trust that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask. We ask all these things in the powerful and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, amen.

We are grateful for your compassion for this man and the way you are holding him before the Lord. It is heavy to care about someone you believe is being controlled, blackmailed or even unsafe in his own home, and we want to stand with you in prayer for his safety and for clear direction.

We hear your longing that he would have space to hear God and to see himself as God sees him, apart from harmful influences. Part of that kind of healing is being able to have healthy boundaries, to know what is his to carry and to be free to let his yes be yes and his no be no without fear. That freedom usually grows slowly with safe support around a person, not through pressure. We cannot make his choices for him, but we can keep praying, keep a caring and clear relationship, and encourage him toward trusted help when he is willing.

It may help you to talk with a wise pastor or counselor yourself about how to support him while keeping yourself safe and keeping appropriate boundaries as his former tenant, especially when you are worried about control or threats in his household.

Father, in Jesus name we lift this man to you. Guard his life and his safety, show him your love in a way he can truly grasp, and give him wisdom and courage to step away from what harms him. Give our friend peace as he continues to pray, and guide his next steps with discernment and protection. Amen.

We join you in this earnest prayer and bring this man before the throne of grace with you, asking the Lord to show mercy according to His great love.

There is a word which has delivered many a soul from despair, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, I have found a ransom. Our hope for any sinner is not in forms or feelings or resolutions, but in looking to what Christ has done upon the cross, where sin was punished upon the great Substitute and put away forever from all who will only trust Him. It is God who delivers both from the guilt of sin and from the power of sin, for He has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son. This is not a matter of debate but of grace, and it must be so for every soul that is in Christ.

We pray then that the Lord in His mercy would open this man's ears and seal instruction upon his heart, that He would withdraw him from his own purposes and hide pride from him. May the Lord break the stony heart and give a heart of flesh, that he may see with clear and unmistakable sight who he is in Christ alone, and that every false identity built upon sinful desires and sinful relationships may be shown for what it is, darkness and bondage. We ask that God would give him courage to turn from the broad way and to walk the narrow path which leads unto life, trusting not in himself but in the one great sacrifice of Jesus Christ, through whom alone there is salvation.

We ask also that the Lord would in His providence separate him from ungodly influences, even those in his own household, and give him understanding to fear the holy name of God and to depart from evil. We do not ask God to bless or to preserve what is sinful and hateful in His sight, for marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and all intimacy outside of it is sin, but we ask that He would deliver this man from every controlling, deceitful and destructive entanglement, and from every danger to body and soul that sin brings. Where there is blackmail and control and peril, may the Lord be his refuge and bring him into liberty, for when Christ was bound, His people were set free.

May the God who chastens in love use even these sorrows to draw him to Himself, that he may know the depth of divine love and the freeness of forgiveness in Christ, and may dedicate himself anew to his delivering God. We pray that he would look to Christ and live, and rejoice in joyful liberty.

We will continue to pray with you that the Lord would be gracious unto him, and that you also may be kept in faith and peace as you intercede, not yielding to unbelief but hoping in God, for you shall yet praise Him. In the powerful name of Jesus our only Redeemer, amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join you in bringing this man before our Heavenly Father, and we thank God that you are seeking Him in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we are saved.

We agree with you in asking the Lord to work in his heart according to His mercy and truth. Scripture teaches that God does not always grant deliverance from danger or death itself, but He does something greater, He teaches the soul to despise sin and to love what is eternal, and He fixes in our minds the hope of immortality through Christ. Our prayer therefore is not only that this man would be kept safe outwardly, but that his soul would be truly delivered from sin at its root, for the grace of God touches the soul itself and plucks up sin from within.

We pray that the Lord would open his eyes to see his true identity in Christ, and to turn from any false identity he has taken on through sinful desires and relationships. We pray that God would soften what has been hard and give him courage to walk the narrow path, to fear the holy name of the Lord, and to depart from evil. We ask that the Father would separate him from ungodly influences, including those in his household, and from any controlling or harmful relationship that keeps him bound, and that He would bring him to a clear understanding of both the depth of His love and the seriousness of sin.

We are reminded that no sin is beyond the reach of repentance when there is a genuine purpose of heart. Even Manasseh, who had done great evil, was washed clean when he turned to God in repentance and consideration. Godly sorrow works repentance that leads to salvation without regret, and that is what we ask for him, not mere worldly sorrow, but a godly grief that leads to turning away from wickedness and being made clean.

We pray that he would hear the voice of the Lord, that he would be washed and made clean, putting away wickedness from his heart, and that he would come to know forgiveness through the cross and the gift of the Holy Spirit. We pray that he would embrace God's good design for life and for marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that all intimacy would be kept within that covenant as God intends, and that he would find freedom and wholeness in following Christ alone.

We will continue to pray with you that God, who is just and merciful, will bring conviction, protection, and full deliverance in His time, and that this man would come to know Jesus not only as one who can rescue from trouble, but as Lord and Savior to be followed with his whole life. May the Lord give you comfort as you wait on Him, and help you to keep praying with faith and patience, trusting His righteous judgment and His power to save. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
