Deliverance prayer for the former ###

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we thank you for the cross and for the fact that your holy Son, Jesus, suffered for all of us who believe. We praise your holy name. Lord, you know the plans you have for us, and your thoughts are far greater than ours. We come to you together in the name of Jesus, believing that you hear our prayers when we agree. Lord, you know this man who rented his flat to me, and he is also your child. Lord, help him to hear your voice concerning your holy plan for his life. Help him to see the clear, unmistakable truth about his identity in Christ. Open his eyes to the false identity he adopted when he entered into sinful relationships or activities and strayed from your narrow path and followed his own desires. Lord break his stony heart and give him courage to follow the narrow path and soften his heart for your glory. I also pray that you will separate him from ungodly influences, including those in his household, and that he will recognise the depth of your love, as well as the sinful and hateful relationships he has entered into, in which he is controlled, blackmailed, and where his life may be in danger. Give him understanding to fear your Holy name. Lord, give him understanding to depart from evil and the evil woman in his life. In Jesus' powerful name we ask these things, amen.

We join with you in lifting up this man before the throne of grace and we thank you for standing in the gap for him with such love and discernment. We agree together in the name of Jesus, for He has promised that where two or three are gathered in His name He is in our midst and that if we agree concerning anything we ask it will be done for us by our Father in heaven, Matthew 18:19-20. We praise God with you for the cross and for the suffering of His holy Son Jesus for all who believe, for without the shed blood of Christ there would be no forgiveness and no deliverance.

We hear your burden for his true identity and for the false identity he has taken on through sinful relationships and activities. The Word tells us that if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new, 2 Corinthians 5:17. His true identity can only be found in Christ, not in desires of the flesh or in relationships that pull him away from the narrow path. We are reminded that narrow is the gate and narrow is the way that leads to life, and few are those who find it, Matthew 7:14, and that the thoughts and plans of the Lord are far higher than ours, Isaiah 55:8-9, Jeremiah 29:11. We pray with you that the Lord will indeed break his stony heart and give him a new heart and put a new spirit within him, Ezekiel 36:26, that he may have courage to turn from the broad way and follow the Lord with a soft and obedient heart.

We must speak clearly about the sinful relationships you mention. God created sexual intimacy to be enjoyed only within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman, Hebrews 13:4, Genesis 2:24. Any sexual activity outside of that marriage covenant, whether it is fornication if unmarried or adultery if married to another, is sin before God, 1 Corinthians 6:18. And if any of those relationships involve same sex activity, we must also lovingly say that this too is contrary to God's design and is called homosexuality in Scripture and will not inherit the kingdom without repentance, yet God offers full forgiveness and cleansing to all who repent, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11. The Word warns about the influence of an immoral woman or any immoral companion whose lips drip honey and whose ways lead down to death, Proverbs 5:3-5, and we are told not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers and to have no fellowship with darkness, 2 Corinthians 6:14. When a relationship is marked by control, blackmail and danger it is not love, for love does not behave in such a way, and it shows the destructive power of sin and of the enemy who comes to steal, kill and destroy.

We also join you in praying for his deliverance and protection. The Lord is able to make him free indeed, John 8:36, and if he will submit to God and resist the devil, the devil will flee from him, James 4:7. If he confesses his sin, God is faithful and righteous to forgive and to cleanse him from all unrighteousness, 1 John 1:9. We pray for a holy fear of the Lord in his heart, for the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, Proverbs 9:10, and for wisdom to depart from evil.

We pray together now. Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your mercy and for the cross of Jesus Christ. We come before You together in the powerful name of Jesus and lift up this man who rented his flat to our fellow believer. You know him by name and You love him as Your creation. Lord, open his eyes to see the unmistakable truth about who he is in Christ and tear away the false identity he has adopted through sin. Break his stony heart, soften it by Your Holy Spirit, and give him courage to choose the narrow path that leads to life. Lord, convict him of every sinful relationship and activity that has led him away from You, whether fornication, adultery or any other sexual immorality, and grant him repentance that leads to life. Separate him from every ungodly influence, even those in his own household, and from the evil woman and any controlling and hateful entanglement where he is manipulated, blackmailed and where his life may be in danger. Place a hedge of protection around him, Psalm 91:1, and lead him out of darkness into Your marvelous light. Give him understanding to fear Your holy name, to depart from evil and to walk in the freedom and truth that comes only through Jesus, John 8:32. We ask that You would give him a hunger for Your Word and for fellowship with believers who will speak truth in love, and if it is Your will for him to marry, prepare him for a godly marriage to a believing woman that honors You. We thank You that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to You and that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, John 14:6, Acts 4:12. We trust Your perfect plan for his life and ask all these things in the mighty and saving name of Jesus, amen.

Thank you for bringing this man before the Lord so faithfully. We hear how much you want him to know who he truly is in Christ and to walk in freedom, and how heavy it is to sense he may be controlled and unsafe where he is.

We join you in asking God to work gently but clearly in his heart, to give him courage to see truth, to soften what has grown hard, and to lead him away from influences that harm him. A strong identity in Christ becomes a steady reference point when life is confusing and pressured, helping a person listen for the one voice that matters most rather than the many voices around him. We will pray that he finds that clarity, and that he is surrounded by wise, safe people who can support him well.

It is also wise not to try to intervene alone in a situation that feels controlling or threatening. If you have a trusted pastor or counselor, it can help to talk through with them how to pray and keep healthy boundaries while you care from a distance.

Father, we lift this man to You in Jesus name. Protect him, give him understanding and courage to turn from what harms him, and draw him close to Your love. Give our friend wisdom, peace and protection as he prays, and guide each next step according to Your will. Amen.

We have heard your burden and we join you before the throne of grace in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, who alone is the way of salvation.

There is great wisdom and love in your prayer, for you do not ask that God should bless what He calls sin, but that He should deliver from it. The Scripture teaches us that He has delivered us from the power of darkness and has translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son, and this deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. We cannot break the net ourselves, for at first sin catches us with what seems like a spider's cobweb scarcely seen, yet it holds us fast until Christ Himself loosens the bonds.

We pray with you for this man, that the Lord in His great grace would speak that word over him, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, for I have found a ransom. That ransom is not in forms or ceremonies or feelings or resolutions, but in what Christ has done upon the cross, where He was bound that His people might go free, where He was made sin for us that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. To look to Christ is to trust in His one great sacrifice, to rejoice in Jesus crucified, to leap for joy that God has set Him forth to be a propitiation for sin.

We ask the Lord to grant not a superficial repentance which springs only from terror or trouble and withers in a night, but that true repentance which is inseparable from faith and leads a man to look out of self to Christ and to Christ only. Such repentance is a daily and hourly turning from sin to follow the narrow path, and it needs not to be repented of. May the Lord open his ears and seal his instruction, that He may withdraw man from his purpose and hide pride from man, that He may break the stony heart and give a heart of flesh that fears His holy name.

We pray that the Father, who deals with His children in weight and measure not in anger but from covenant love, would give this man a clear sight of his true identity in Christ, that he is not defined by the desires he has followed or the false identities he has adopted, but by being a new creature in Christ if he will trust Him. We pray that he may see the sinfulness of every relationship and activity outside God's holy plan, which ordained marriage to be the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that all intimacy and living together belongs within that covenant alone. And we pray that God would in mercy separate him from every ungodly influence, even those in his own household, and from every controlling and destructive entanglement that has held him in fear and danger, that he may be kept from evil and led into the light where he can sleep no more in darkness but walk as a child of light.

May the Lord give him courage to depart from evil, to forsake the broad way, and to find his freedom not in following his own desires but in trusting the Son who alone can make him free indeed. We commend both you who intercedes and this man for whom you intercede to the compassion of God, who scourges His children but does not slay them, and who hears the prayers of those who agree together in Jesus' name.

We will continue to pray that you both may look to Christ alone and prove that faith which makes our calling and election sure, for even faith as a grain of mustard seed, if it is simple faith in Christ, is safe. May the Lord keep you and establish you in His grace until He brings you to dwell with Him.

In the name of Jesus Christ our only hope, Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join you in prayer and bring this man before the Lord with you, agreeing together in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is through His cross alone that we have salvation and access to the Father.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your mercy and for Your Son who suffered for us. We come to You in the name of Jesus, trusting that You hear us when we agree in prayer. You know this man, You know the plans You have for him, and Your thoughts are far higher than ours. We ask that You would open his ears to hear Your voice and open his eyes to see the truth about who he is in Christ.

Lord, we pray for true repentance in his life. Your Word teaches that repentance has great power and is able to set free even one who has fallen into the depth of wickedness, if he will turn back to You. As You restored Manasses after great sin when he turned to You with consideration and repentance, and as You can form Christ again in us, we ask that You would do this work in him. Break his stony heart and give him a soft heart that fears Your holy name. Give him courage to leave the broad way and to follow the narrow path that leads to life.

We pray not only that You would deliver him from danger, but that You would set him above danger, teaching him to despise sin and to love holiness. For holiness is not only freedom from sin, but the presence of Your Spirit and a life made bright and beautiful by good works. Make him holy, cleanse him from the mire, and clothe him in the righteousness of Christ.

Father, separate him from ungodly influences, including those in his household, and from every controlling and hateful relationship where he is being used, blackmailed or put in danger. Give him clear understanding to recognize evil for what it is and to depart from it, including from the evil woman in his life. Rescue him from those who would act as wolves against him, and keep him from temptation. We ask for his protection where his life may be in danger, and above all for the deliverance of his soul.

We pray that he would know the depth of Your love, that he would understand Your good design for marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman and for purity within it, and that he would turn from every false identity and sinful activity he has adopted and find his true identity as a son of God through faith in Christ. Grant him sonship through Your Spirit, not because of his own merit but because of Your promise.

We ask this in the powerful name of Jesus, trusting in Your goodness to bring deliverance from evil and supply of good, which only Christ can give. Amen.
