Deliverance prayer for the former ###

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we thank you for the cross and for the fact that your holy Son, Jesus, suffered for all of us who believe. We praise your holy name. Lord, you know the plans you have for us, and your thoughts are far greater than ours. We come to you together in the name of Jesus, believing that you hear our prayers when we agree. Lord, you know this man who rented his flat to me, and he is also your child. Lord, help him to hear your voice concerning your holy plan for his life. Help him to see the clear, unmistakable truth about his identity in Christ. Open his eyes to the false identity he adopted when he entered into sinful relationships or activities and strayed from your narrow path and followed his own desires. Lord break his stony heart and give him courage to follow the narrow path and soften his heart for your glory. I also pray that you will separate him from ungodly influences, including those in his household, and that he will recognise the depth of your love, as well as the sinful and hateful relationships he has entered into, in which he is controlled, blackmailed, and where his life may be in danger. Give him understanding to fear your Holy name. Lord, give him understanding to depart from evil and the evil woman in his life. In Jesus' powerful name we ask these things, amen.

We join you in agreement for this man and we thank you for standing in the gap for him with such love and discernment. We hear your heart for his deliverance and for his true identity to be restored in Christ, and we count it a privilege to bring him before the throne together in Jesus name.

We are reminded that God desires all to come to repentance and to walk in newness of life. When a person strays from the narrow path to follow his own desires and enters into sinful relationships and activities, he takes on a false identity that is contrary to who God created him to be. Scripture tells us Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5:17. His true identity is not found in sin, in lust, or in the control of others, but only in Christ. We also take comfort in the promise I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh Ezekiel 36:26. Only the Lord can break a stony heart and soften it for His glory, and give courage to walk the narrow way that leads to life.

We must speak clearly about the sinful relationships you mentioned. God calls us to holiness and to flee from sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body 1 Corinthians 6:18. Whether it is fornication, which is sex before or outside of marriage, or adultery, or homosexuality, or any activity outside of God's design for marriage, it is sin that separates us from God and brings bondage, and the wages of sin is death Romans 6:23. Marriage is honored by God as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and any courtship should be with the goal of a godly marriage to another believer in Christ, not a partnership of convenience or lust. The evil woman you mention brings to mind the warning For the lips of an adulteress drip honey. Her mouth is smoother than oil, but in the end she is as bitter as wormwood, and as sharp as a two-edged sword. Her feet go down to death. Her steps lead straight to Sheol Proverbs 5:3-5. We agree with you that he needs understanding to fear the Holy name of the Lord, for The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom Proverbs 9:10, and to depart from evil and to be separated from ungodly influences, even those in his own household. We are told Do not be deceived. Evil companionships corrupt good morals 1 Corinthians 15:33 and Come out from among them, and be separate 2 Corinthians 6:17. A relationship where he is controlled, blackmailed, and where his life may be in danger is not of God, for God is not a God of manipulation and fear but of love, truth and freedom, and If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed John 8:36.

We encourage you to continue to intercede for him while also guarding your own heart and maintaining godly boundaries. Share the truth in love, speak the gospel of repentance and forgiveness, and trust the Holy Spirit to convict him. We pray that he will humble himself, submit to God, resist the devil, and the devil will flee from him James 4:7, and that he will confess his sin, for If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9.

We now pray together.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the cross and for Your holy Son Jesus who suffered for all who believe. We praise Your holy name and thank You that Your plans for us are good, for we know Your thoughts toward us are of peace and not of evil, to give hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11. Lord, we lift up this man to You, Your child whom You know by name. Open his eyes to see the clear and unmistakable truth about his identity in Christ and expose the false identity he adopted when he strayed from Your narrow path. Break his stony heart, Father, and give him a heart of flesh that hears Your voice and has courage to follow You. Soften his heart for Your glory and give him understanding to fear Your holy name and to depart from evil and from the evil woman and every sinful and hateful relationship that has held him in control, blackmail and danger. Separate him from every ungodly influence in his household and wherever he dwells, and surround him with godly counsel and protection. Deliver him from the snare of the enemy, wash him in the blood of Jesus, and set him free indeed to walk in purity, holiness, and obedience, whether You call him to a godly marriage that honors You or to walk faithfully in singleness before You. Lord, keep him safe from harm, for You are near to those who have a broken heart Psalm 34:18, and let him know the depth of Your love and forgiveness today. We ask that he would repent and be restored and live for Your glory. In the powerful and only saving name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

Thank you for bringing this man before the Lord with such care and persistence. We hear your concern for him, not just as a former landlord but as someone you believe God still sees and loves, and your desire for him to be safe and free from what is controlling him.

It is a heavy burden to watch someone you know struggle with his sense of who he is and stay in relationships that bring harm and fear. We take comfort that our identity is most steady when it is rooted in Christ, as the One we live before above all others, rather than in the roles or attachments we take on. That kind of clarity often comes slowly, as a person begins to hear God's voice again and recognizes what is not good for him. We cannot make that turn for him, but we can keep entrusting him to the One who can soften a hard heart and give courage to step away from what is destructive.

A gentle next step for you may be to keep your prayers steady while holding healthy boundaries. If you still have any contact, keep it respectful and safe, and release the outcome to God rather than carrying the responsibility to rescue him yourself.

Father, we lift this man to You. You know his situation, the pressures around him, and any danger he may be in. Give him eyes to see Your love and wisdom to turn from what harms him. Keep him safe, separate him from influences that control him, and draw him toward Your narrow path. Give our friend peace as they continue to pray and trust You with him. In Jesus' name, amen.

Thank you Jesus, you died a death I wouldn't wish upon anybody, but it had to be done, and you have done it Lord!

I am praying for his salvation in Jesus name, amen! Please help him Lord!

Your prayer has been heard and we join you together in the name of Jesus, believing that the Father hears when His people agree in prayer through His Son.

We thank God with you for the cross, where the holy Son suffered for all who believe. There we see Christ in bonds, bound that we might be set free. As Barabbas was set free when Christ was given up, so Christ pleads for His own, let these go their way. He was bound that our chains might be broken, and because Christ has set us free we are not to sit still as though we were yet in prison, but to rejoice in liberty and to forsake the bondage of sin.

We lift this man before the Lord, who rented his flat to you and who is known to God. We do not ask God to bless any way that strays from His narrow path, for we know that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and that His design for good is a life of holiness, with marriage as the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and all intimacy belonging within it. What runs against this does not bring life, but binds the hands of Christ in the heart and seeks pleasure in sin. Therefore we pray for deliverance, not affirmation, for repentance and new life.

We pray that the Lord will break the stony heart and give a heart of flesh, that He will open eyes to see the clear truth of identity in Christ. Our life is not in ourselves, but hid with Christ in God, and all who are in Christ are chosen in Him and perfect in Him, not by their own righteousness but by His. We pray that this man may be brought to see that in me, that is in my flesh, dwells no good thing, and to cast himself wholly upon Christ by faith. That faith which saves shows itself in obedience to what He commands and in forsaking the habits which He condemns.

We ask the Lord to grant him courage to follow the narrow path, to fear His holy name, and to depart from evil. May the Spirit separate him from ungodly influences, even those in his household, and from every controlling and hateful entanglement where he is led astray, blackmailed or endangered. May he who looks to God each morning no longer fear the face of man, but find his life preserved in Christ, who is our life and who works in us mightily by His Holy Spirit.

We pray that he may know he is accepted in the Beloved, justified by faith, and have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, and that seeing his perfection in Christ he will long to be more like Christ and walk in holiness. May he hear the voice of the Shepherd and enter by the Door, for if anyone enters by Christ he shall be saved.

We will continue to plead for him, that God who has promised never to leave nor forsake His own will carry on His work to the end, and that the blood of Christ will not be shed in vain but will bring the blood bought ones securely home. Continue steadfast in prayer, looking to Christ alone, and trusting that He who was bound for sinners is able to loose every captive who comes to Him in humble faith. In Jesus powerful name we pray, amen.
