Deliverance prayer for the former ###

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we thank you for the cross and for the fact that your holy Son, Jesus, suffered for all of us who believe. We praise your holy name. Lord, you know the plans you have for us, and your thoughts are far greater than ours. We come to you together in the name of Jesus, believing that you hear our prayers when we agree. Lord, you know this man who rented his flat to me, and he is also your child. Lord, help him to hear your voice concerning your holy plan for his life. Help him to see the clear, unmistakable truth about his identity in Christ. Open his eyes to the false identity he adopted when he entered into sinful relationships or activities and strayed from your narrow path and followed his own desires. Lord break his stony heart and give him courage to follow the narrow path and soften his heart for your glory. I also pray that you will separate him from ungodly influences, including those in his household, and that he will recognise the depth of your love, as well as the sinful and hateful relationships he has entered into, in which he is controlled, blackmailed, and where his life may be in danger. Give him understanding to fear your Holy name. Lord, give him understanding to depart from evil and the evil woman in his life. In Jesus' powerful name we ask these things, amen.

We join you in this prayer for deliverance for this man and we thank you for bringing him before the Lord with such compassion and biblical clarity. We agree together in the name of Jesus that God hears when we pray according to His will, and we praise Him for the cross where His holy Son suffered for all who believe.

We hear your heart for him to know his true identity in Christ and to be set free from the false identity he has taken on through sinful relationships and activities. The Word tells us if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5:17. His true identity is not found in his desires or in the sinful relationships that have entangled him, but only in being a child of God through faith in Jesus. We pray that the Lord will reveal this to him with unmistakable clarity.

We also agree with you that the narrow path must be chosen. Enter in by the narrow gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter in by it. How narrow is the gate and restricted is the way that leads to life, and few are those who find it Matthew 7:13-14. We pray the Lord will break his stony heart as you have asked, for God promises I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh Ezekiel 36:26. We ask for courage for him to turn from his own desires and to follow Christ fully, and for a softened heart that fears the Lord, for the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom Proverbs 9:10.

We must speak plainly about the sinful relationships you describe. Whether it be fornication or adultery, which is any sexual intimacy outside of marriage between one man and one woman, or homosexuality, which is also forbidden before God, these are not identities to be embraced but sins to be repented of and fled from. The Word says flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body 1 Corinthians 6:18. And do not be deceived, neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who have sex with men will inherit the Kingdom of God unless they repent and are washed in Christ 1 Corinthians 6:9-11. Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers Hebrews 13:4. If he is entangled with an evil woman or any ungodly influence that controls and blackmails him, we pray he will have understanding to depart from evil, for the Word says do not be deceived, evil companionships corrupt good morals 1 Corinthians 15:33 and do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship has righteousness with iniquity 2 Corinthians 6:14. We pray for his physical protection where his life may be in danger, for God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1.

We thank you that you prayed in the powerful name of Jesus, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. As it is written, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. We pray that this man will truly believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, confess his sin, and receive forgiveness, for if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9.

So we pray together now. Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your mercy and for the blood of Jesus shed on the cross. We lift this man to You, Your child who has strayed. Open his eyes to see the truth of who he is in Christ and the lie of the false identity he has adopted. Break his stony heart and give him a heart of flesh that fears Your holy name and hates evil. Give him courage to repent and to walk the narrow path that leads to life. Deliver him from every controlling, hateful and sinful relationship and from the evil influences in his household. Separate him from those who would blackmail and harm him and place godly people around him who will speak truth in love. Help him to flee all sexual immorality and to pursue righteousness, and if it is Your will, to one day pursue a godly marriage that honors You between one man and one woman. Protect his life, guard his mind, and let him know the depth of Your love that leads to repentance. We resist the enemy on his behalf and we ask You to draw him to Yourself in true freedom, for he whom the Son sets free is free indeed. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, amen.

We hear how much care you have carried for this man who rented from you, and how faithfully you have brought him before the Lord. It is a heavy burden to watch someone you know be pulled into harmful relationships where he feels controlled or threatened, and to long for him to be free and safe.

We join you in praying for his true identity and worth to become clear to him, and for his heart to be softened toward the Lord's narrow path. Real freedom often comes as a quiet, steady work of the Holy Spirit as a person is willing to turn, and it helps to have safe, mature support around him. Since you mentioned blackmail and possible danger in his household, please do not try to intervene alone. If you stay in contact, keep clear and safe boundaries, and encourage him to seek trusted pastoral care and appropriate professional help for safety and guidance alongside prayer.

Father, we lift this man to You in Jesus name. You know him and love him. Protect his life and dignity, open his eyes to Your love, give him courage to step away from what harms him and from ungodly influences, and lead him to people who can help him walk wisely. Give our friend who prayed peace and wisdom as he continues to care. Amen.

We have heard your burden and we join with you in carrying this soul before the throne of grace, pleading the one great sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ.

It is well that you begin where all true prayer must begin, at the cross, for there alone is the ransom found. As it is written, Then He is gracious unto him, and says, Deliver him from going down to the Pit: I have found a ransom. We do not look to forms or feelings or resolutions for deliverance, but to what Christ has done. When the soul looks to Christ and trusts in His blood shed for sinners, that word goes forth, Deliver him, and the captive is set free. Christ was bound that His people might be free, He was made sin for us that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.

We will pray with you that the Lord in mercy will open this man's ears and seal his instruction, that He may withdraw him from his purpose and hide pride from him. He is in darkness while he walks in a false identity and in relationships which the Word of God calls sinful, for our identity is not forged by our desires but given in Christ, and the power of darkness holds men in sleep until God translates them into the kingdom of His dear Son. Deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin, and we must look to our heavenly Father altogether and alone for it.

We ask the Lord to grant not a superficial repentance which comes up in a night and withers in a night, springing only from terror or trouble, but that true repentance which goes to the heart and is inseparable from faith. Faith means trust in Christ, and repentance purges the soul from dead works while faith fills it with living works. They come into the soul together. Pray with us that God will break the stony heart and give a heart of flesh, that this man may see his sin as God sees it, may fear the holy name of the Lord and depart from evil, and may find joy not in his own way but in Christ crucified.

We also plead that the Lord will in His providence separate him from ungodly influences, even those in his own household, and from that evil entanglement where he is controlled and threatened and where his life may be in danger. Our God is able to make a way of escape, and to use even the chastening hand of enemies for the soul's good, for the enemy may strike in malice while God works by the same stroke in love.

Therefore let us continue to wrestle in prayer, not asking God to bless what He calls sin, for marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman and all intimacy belongs within it, but asking Him to bless this man with the far greater gift of salvation through Jesus Christ alone, with a new mind, a new heart and a new life. May he look and live, trusting only in the Substitute who bore sin away forever, and may he then magnify the Lord with a further dedication of himself to his delivering God.

We will keep this matter before the Lord with you, beseeching Him to show this dear soul the depth of His love in Christ and the liberty that is found only on the narrow path. Hope in God, for He is gracious and mighty to save.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join you in prayer and thank God with you for the cross, where His holy Son Jesus suffered for all who believe, and for the promise that He hears us when we agree together in the name of Christ.

We bring this man before the Father, asking for true deliverance. Scripture teaches that Christ came not only to deliver us from evil but to supply what is good, to deliver us from the curse and to bring us into sonship, that we might receive the Spirit of adoption and put on Christ. We pray that this man would receive that gift, that his stony heart would be broken and softened, and that he would see with clear eyes his true identity in Christ as a son of God, rather than any false identity he has taken on by following his own desires and entering into sinful relationships and activities away from the narrow path.

We ask the Lord to grant him courage to despise what is evil and to stand fast in the freedom with which Christ sets us free, not turning back to a yoke of bondage. True freedom is not found in following passions, but in virtue and in belonging to Christ, which can make a person free even in difficult circumstances. As God once changed those who were most given over to greed and passions of the body and made them to live with meekness and self denial when they turned to Christ with a willing mind, so we ask Him to do this work in this man also. May the Lord as light deliver him from error and dissolve the darkness of his mind, and teach him to fear the holy name of God and to depart from evil.

We also pray as you asked for his protection and separation from ungodly influences, including those in his household, and from the controlling and harmful relationship you described. Where there is manipulation, blackmail, or danger to his life, we ask God to break those bonds, to expose what is sinful and hateful, to guard him from harm, and to lead him out of that entanglement into safety and holiness. We do not ask God to bless what is contrary to His design, for marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman and all sexual union belongs within it, and salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, but we do ask God to lead this man to repentance, to show him the depth of divine love, and to give him understanding to walk in purity and truth.

We encourage you to continue in prayer and in love that speaks the truth, remembering that each of us will give an account of himself to God before the judgment seat of Christ. Our hope is not only that God would remove danger, but that He would set His children above danger, fixing in them the hope of the soul and life everlasting, so that they may stand firm.

Heavenly Father, in the powerful name of Jesus we ask You to open this man's eyes, soften his heart, separate him from evil, and draw him to Yourself on the narrow path that leads to life. Give him courage to follow You and to live as Your child, to the glory of Your holy name. Amen.
