Deliverance prayer for the former ###

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we thank you for the cross and for the fact that your holy Son, Jesus, suffered for all of us who believe. We praise your holy name. Lord, you know the plans you have for us, and your thoughts are far greater than ours. We come to you together in the name of Jesus, believing that you hear our prayers when we agree. Lord, you know this man who rented his flat to me, and he is also your child. Lord, help him to hear your voice concerning your holy plan for his life. Help him to see the clear, unmistakable truth about his identity in Christ. Open his eyes to the false identity he adopted when he entered into sinful relationships or activities and strayed from your narrow path and followed his own desires. Lord break his stony heart and give him courage to follow the narrow path and soften his heart for your glory. I also pray that you will separate him from ungodly influences, including those in his household, and that he will recognise the depth of your love, as well as the sinful and hateful relationships he has entered into, in which he is controlled, blackmailed, and where his life may be in danger. Give him understanding to fear your Holy name. Lord, give him understanding to depart from evil and the evil woman in his life. In Jesus' powerful name we ask these things, amen.

We join you in thanking our Heavenly Father for the cross and for His holy Son Jesus who suffered for all who believe, and we agree together in the name of Jesus believing that He hears us when we come into agreement. We praise His holy name with you that His thoughts and plans are far greater than ours, for it is written Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. And Matthew 18:19-20 reminds us that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by our Father who is in heaven, for where two or three are gathered together in His name, there He is in the midst of them.

We hear your burden for this man who rented his flat to you and we commend your love and intercession for him as a fellow child of God who has strayed. We stand with you in asking that the Lord open his eyes to his true identity in Christ and deliver him from the false identity he has taken on through sinful relationships and activities. The Word tells us 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. Any identity built on sin, on lust, on ungodly soul ties, or on the approval of others is false and must be renounced. We must speak plainly that any sexual activity outside of marriage between a man and a woman is sin before God, whether it be fornication or adultery, and same sex relationships which the Bible calls homosexuality are also forbidden and immoral before the Lord. It is written 1 Corinthians 6:18 Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. And Proverbs 5:8 says to remove your way far from the evil woman and not to come near the door of her house. We agree with you that this man needs to depart from evil and from the evil woman in his life and from every ungodly influence, even those in his household, for 2 Corinthians 6:14 asks what fellowship has light with darkness.

We also pray with you that God will break his stony heart and give him a new heart that fears His holy name. The Lord promises in Ezekiel 36:26 I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. And Proverbs 9:10 teaches that the fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Only when he truly fears God will he have understanding to depart from evil, to see the depth of God's love, and to recognize how hateful and destructive those controlling and blackmailing relationships are where his life may even be in danger. Jesus came to set the captives free, for John 8:36 says If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed. And James 4:7 tells us to be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

We encourage you to continue to intercede for him with truth and grace, not condoning his sin but lovingly calling him to repentance. If God has called him to companionship, we pray it will not be through sinful relationships but through a godly courtship with a believing woman that leads to a lifelong marriage covenant that honors God, for marriage between a man and a woman is God's holy design. We pray he will choose the narrow path that leads to life, for Matthew 7:13-14 says narrow is the gate and restricted is the way that leads to life, and few are those who find it. We trust that God is able to separate him, protect him, and restore him as he confesses and turns from sin, for 1 John 1:9 says If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

We pray together now, Father in heaven, we thank You for Your mercy and for the blood of Jesus that cleanses from all sin. We lift up this man before Your throne in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we have access to You and by which we are saved. We ask You to open his eyes to see clearly who he is in Christ and to expose the lies of the false identity he has embraced. Soften his heart, break the stony heart within him, and give him a heart of flesh that trembles at Your Word. Grant him godly sorrow that leads to repentance and courage to walk the narrow path. Deliver him from every chain of sexual immorality, from every ungodly soul tie, and from the evil woman and every evil influence that controls and blackmails him. Separate him from those in his household and elsewhere who lead him away from You, and place godly influences around him. Protect his life from danger and from the schemes of the enemy, and let him know the depth of Your love that sent Jesus to die for him. Teach him to fear Your holy name and to depart from evil, to flee immorality and to pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace. Make him a new creation in Christ and if it be Your will, prepare him in Your timing for a godly marriage to a believing wife that honors You all his days. We ask that You give our dear intercessor wisdom, boldness and love to speak Your truth to him and to continue in prayer without ceasing. We trust You to complete the good work You have begun. In the powerful and precious name of Jesus we pray, amen.

Thank you for bringing this man to the Lord with such care. We hear how much weight you are carrying for him, praying not just for his safety but for his heart to hear God's voice and to know who he is in Christ. It is a loving thing to intercede this way while also recognizing you cannot make his choices for him.

We are praying with you for his protection and for wisdom for you as you care from a distance. Since you mentioned control, blackmail and possible danger in his household, please do not try to intervene alone if you sense risk. It can help to talk with a trusted pastor or counselor in your area about how to keep healthy boundaries and how to support him safely, and to let professionals help where there may be coercion or danger.

We also join you in asking God to draw near to him and to give him clarity, courage and a way toward what is good and safe.

Father, we lift this man to You and ask for Your mercy and protection over him. Give him ears to hear Your voice, a softened heart, and wisdom to step away from what harms him. Surround him with safe, godly influence and show him Your love and truth. Give our friend who is praying peace, wisdom and guidance for next steps. In Jesus' name, amen.

We have heard your earnest supplication and we join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace, pleading the blood of Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved.

We give thanks with you for the cross, where the Son of God was bound that we might be set free. As it has been said, Christ in bonds was made an Ambassador in chains that Barabbas might go free, and that His disciples might be let go. He was bound that He might break our bonds. Therefore we pray that this man, your former landlord, may know that true liberty is not found in following his own desires, but in being loosed by Christ and kept by Him.

We do not ask God to bless what He calls sin, nor to affirm any false identity or any relationship outside His holy ordinance. Marriage, as God ordained it from the beginning, is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and all that belongs to the marriage union belongs within that covenant alone. Any path outside it is the broad way that leads away from God, and we pray with you that he may be delivered from it. We ask the Lord to show him, with clear and unmistakable light, who he is in Christ when a sinner casts himself wholly upon Christ by faith, and to show him also the vanity and danger of the false identity he has taken up while straying from the narrow path.

We entreat the Lord to break the stony heart and give a heart of flesh, to grant godly fear of His holy name, and courage to depart from evil. May the Lord separate him from every ungodly influence that holds him, controls him, or seeks to blackmail and endanger him, including those within his own household, and from the evil that now entangles him. We pray that he may see not only the depth of the love of Christ which passeth knowledge, but also the bitter fruit of those sinful and hateful entanglements which promise pleasure and bring bondage. Other men, as we have often warned, bind the hands of Christ to themselves by seeking pleasure in sin, and we pray that this chain may be broken.

We pray that he may not go back into bondage after Christ has opened the prison door, but that he may rejoice in liberty and walk in holiness. Christ is best known when He is Christ in us, Christ possessed by faith, Christ dwelling in the heart and curing the soul of sin. May this man be brought to know that he has no right in himself to come to Christ, yet that Christ commands him to come, and that the right to come lies in the Saviour's invitation and finished work. May he come as he is, confessing his sin, trusting alone in the wounds of Christ for refuge, and finding there pardon and a new life.

We will continue to remember you both before the Lord. He who has promised, I will never leave thee nor forsake thee, is faithful. Even your trouble is a token that He has not forgotten His own. Look to Jesus, keep His Book ever open before you, and plead daily that the Holy Spirit may work mightily in this man's heart, that Christ who is our life may be his life also, and that being risen with Christ he may walk in newness of life to the glory of God. In the powerful name of Jesus we ask these things, amen.
