Deliverance prayer for the former ###

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we thank you for the cross and for the fact that your holy Son, Jesus, suffered for all of us who believe. We praise your holy name. Lord, you know the plans you have for us, and your thoughts are far greater than ours. We come to you together in the name of Jesus, believing that you hear our prayers when we agree. Lord, you know this man who rented his flat to me, and he is also your child. Lord, help him to hear your voice concerning your holy plan for his life. Help him to see the clear, unmistakable truth about his identity in Christ. Open his eyes to the false identity he adopted when he entered into sinful relationships or activities and strayed from your narrow path and followed his own desires. Lord break his stony heart and give him courage to follow the narrow path and soften his heart for your glory. I also pray that you will separate him from ungodly influences, including those in his household, and that he will recognise the depth of your love, as well as the sinful and hateful relationships he has entered into, in which he is controlled, blackmailed, and where his life may be in danger. Give him understanding to fear your Holy name. Lord, give him understanding to depart from evil and the evil woman in his life. In Jesus' powerful name we ask these things, amen.

We join with you in agreement before the Father and we thank you for bringing this man before the throne of grace with such love and concern. We hear your heart for his deliverance and we stand with you believing that God hears us when we agree together in the name of Jesus, for He has said, Again, assuredly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven Matthew 18:19.

We praise God with you for the cross and for the suffering of His holy Son Jesus for all who believe, for without His shed blood there is no forgiveness and no deliverance. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, for Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. We rejoice that you have come in that powerful name.

We lift up this former landlord to the Lord as you have asked. We pray that the Holy Spirit will open his eyes to see his true identity in Christ, for if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5:17. We pray that the false identity he has adopted through sinful relationships and activities will be exposed for what it is, a lie of the enemy that leads away from the narrow path. Jesus taught Enter in by the narrow gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter in by it. How narrow is the gate and restricted is the way that leads to life. Few are those who find it Matthew 7:13-14. We ask the Lord to give him courage to turn from the broad way and to choose the restricted way that leads to life.

We agree with you that his heart of stone must be broken and made soft before God. We claim the promise, I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh Ezekiel 36:26. We pray that he will come to the fear of the Lord, for The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding Proverbs 9:10. Only when he fears God more than man will he find the understanding to depart from evil.

We also bring before the Lord the sinful and controlling relationships you described, including the evil woman in his life and the ungodly influences even within his household where he is controlled and blackmailed and where his life may be in danger. Scripture is clear that we are to flee from sexual immorality and from all fornication and adultery, for Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body 1 Corinthians 6:18. God calls His children to holiness and to marriage as a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman, and any relationship outside of that holy covenant is sin that separates us from fellowship with Him and opens the door to bondage and destruction. We pray that God will grant him deep repentance, that If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9, and that he will be set free indeed, for If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed John 8:36.

Father, we pray together now for this man. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus we bring this Your child before You. You know him by name and You know the plans You have for him. Open his ears to hear Your voice and his eyes to see the truth of who he is in Christ. Break the deception of the false identity he has taken on and show him the depth of Your love that is greater than all his sin. Soften his stony heart and give him a new heart that loves Your narrow path. By Your mighty power separate him from every ungodly influence and from every hateful and sinful entanglement that controls and blackmails him. Bring him out from among those who lead him into darkness and place him among godly counsel and Your protecting hand. Keep him safe from all harm and from those who would threaten his life, for You are his deliverer. Give him a holy fear of Your name and the strength to depart from evil and to turn completely away from the evil woman and from all fornication and adultery. Draw him into a right relationship with You through Jesus Christ and lead him into purity, wholeness and the godly marriage and life You intend for him if it is Your will. Let him walk in freedom and in truth for Your glory. We ask this in the powerful and only saving name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you to continue to intercede for him with steadfast love, speaking the truth in love and sharing the gospel of repentance and forgiveness through Christ alone. Continue to pray that he will submit himself to God and resist the devil, for the promise is Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you James 4:7. Trust that God is faithful to complete the work He has begun and that He desires none to perish but all to come to repentance.

We are joining you in prayer for his protection and for wisdom to see his true identity and worth in Christ, and for courage to step away from what harms him. We are also praying for you as you intercede, that God will give you discernment about how to love him well while keeping healthy boundaries.

Father, we lift this man to You and ask for Your mercy and protection over him. Soften his heart to hear Your voice, give him courage to turn from what entangles him and to seek help that is safe and godly, and surround him with people who will point him to You. Give our friend here wisdom, peace and strength as he prays. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your earnest prayer on behalf of this man has been heard, and we join you together at the throne of grace in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, who alone is able to save.

We praise God with you for the cross, where His holy Son suffered as the Substitute for all who believe, bearing their sins in His own body up to the tree and away from the tree. There is no other name by which we must be saved, and there is no other sacrifice that can put sin away. It is our comfort that when the soil slips from under a man's feet and he is about to dash into the pit that is bottomless, the Lord Himself can come in, even then, and rescue him to the praise of the glory of His grace.

You have prayed rightly that this man may hear the voice of the Lord and see the clear truth about his identity in Christ. The Scriptures teach us that our true identity is not found in the desires we have followed or the false names we have taken upon ourselves when we strayed from the narrow path, but in what Christ has done for sinners who look to Him. As one has said, it is all you have to do, to look out of yourself and away from yourself, and look to Christ, not to forms or feelings, but to what Christ has done. To look to Him is to trust in His one great sacrifice, and in that looking there goes forth the word, Deliver him from going down to the pit.

We also join you in praying for a true work of repentance in his heart. There is a repentance that is only the outcome of terror and the flesh, which is superficial and skin deep and withers in a night, and gives no glory to God and leads to no lasting deliverance. True repentance gives God glory, hates sin because it slew Christ, and turns from it to live as the holy God would have us live. Faith and repentance are inseparable. The repentance that will save a man is quite consistent with faith in Christ, for repentance ejects sin as an evil tenant and faith admits Christ to be the sole master of the heart. We pray that the Lord would not leave him to a stony heart or to a despairing remorse, but that He would open his ears and seal his instruction, withdraw him from his purpose and hide pride from him, and work in him that godly sorrow which is wrought by the Holy Spirit through belief of the truth.

Therefore we pray with you that the Father, who alone can deliver us from the power of darkness, would be pleased to do these things. We ask that He would break the stony heart and soften it for His glory, give courage to walk in the narrow way, and teach this man the fear of His holy name which is the beginning of wisdom to depart from evil. We ask that He would open his eyes to see both the depth of His love in Christ and the mischief and bondage of sin, that He would show him the fascinating power of sin and of the world for what it is, and make him to loathe it. We ask that the Lord would separate him from ungodly influences, even those in his own household, and from every hateful and sinful entanglement where he is controlled or in danger, and that He would set him free indeed. For to escape from Satan who is the prince of the power of the air, oh, let it be sung in heaven, and He has delivered many and can deliver still.

May the Lord keep this man in safety, guard his life, and bring him into the light and liberty of the children of God. May he be brought to say with a joyous faith, I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord, and may his life henceforth be spent in the service of Him who has delivered him. We pray that he may come to know himself as a child of God not by nature or by his own desires, but by being born again through faith in Jesus Christ, and that walking by faith from the wicket gate to the celestial city, repentance may be his right hand companion all the journey through.

We commend you also to the Lord, that you may continue in prayer and in kindness toward him, speaking the truth in love and pointing ever to Christ. The blood of Jesus Christ, God's Son, cleanses from all sin all who truly repent and believe in Him. May that truth be laid home to his heart by the Holy Spirit and vivified there, that he may look and live.

In the powerful name of Jesus we ask these things, trusting that He hears when His people agree together according to His will. Amen.
