Deliverance prayer for the former ###

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we thank you for the cross and for the fact that your holy Son, Jesus, suffered for all of us who believe. We praise your holy name. Lord, you know the plans you have for us, and your thoughts are far greater than ours. We come to you together in the name of Jesus, believing that you hear our prayers when we agree. Lord, you know this man who rented his flat to me, and he is also your child. Lord, help him to hear your voice concerning your holy plan for his life. Help him to see the clear, unmistakable truth about his identity in Christ. Open his eyes to the false identity he adopted when he entered into sinful relationships or activities and strayed from your narrow path and followed his own desires. Lord break his stony heart and give him courage to follow the narrow path and soften his heart for your glory. I also pray that you will separate him from ungodly influences, including those in his household, and that he will recognise the depth of your love, as well as the sinful and hateful relationships he has entered into, in which he is controlled, blackmailed, and where his life may be in danger. Give him understanding to fear your Holy name. Lord, give him understanding to depart from evil and the evil woman in his life. In Jesus' powerful name we ask these things, amen.

We join you in agreement for this man and thank you for bringing him before the throne of grace with such love and discernment. We hear your heart to see him delivered and restored to who he truly is in Christ, and we stand with you in the name of Jesus, for we know that God hears us when we agree together according to Matthew 18:19-20.

We are encouraged that you have centered this prayer on the cross and on the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that any chain can be broken. As it is written, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12 and Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6.

Your prayer rightly identifies the root issues, a false identity adopted through sinful relationships and activities and a departure from the narrow path. Scripture warns us, Enter in by the narrow gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter in by it. How narrow is the gate and restricted is the way that leads to life, and few are those who find it Matthew 7:13-14. When we follow our own desires we become entangled, but God in His mercy offers a new identity, Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5:17. We also remember the promise, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11, and that His thoughts and ways are higher than ours Isaiah 55:8-9.

We agree with you that his stony heart needs to be softened and that he needs courage to turn from evil influences, even those in his own household. We pray that God will do what only He can do, I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh Ezekiel 36:26. We also take seriously your concern that he is controlled, blackmailed, and that his life may be in danger through sinful and hateful relationships and the influence of an evil woman. The Word tells us plainly, Do not be deceived. Evil companionships corrupt good morals 1 Corinthians 15:33 and to keep far from the path of the immoral woman who flatters with her words and leads many astray Proverbs 6:24, Proverbs 7:21-27. We pray for his eyes to be opened to see these relationships not as love but as bondage and danger, and for holy fear of the Lord to come upon him, for The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom Proverbs 9:10. True deliverance will require him to depart from evil and to submit himself to God, for we are told, Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you James 4:7 and If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed John 8:36.

So we pray together now.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the cross and for Your holy Son Jesus who suffered for all who believe. We praise Your holy name and thank You that Your plans for this man are good and Your mercy endures forever. Lord, You know this man who rented his flat to our fellow believer, and You know him as Your child whom You desire to restore. We ask in the mighty name of Jesus that You open his eyes to the clear and unmistakable truth of his identity in Christ, and expose the false identity he has taken on through sin. Break the stony heart within him and give him a heart of flesh that hears Your voice and has courage to choose the narrow path that leads to life. Separate him from every ungodly influence, including those in his own household, and from every controlling, hateful and sinful entanglement where he is manipulated and blackmailed. Place a hedge of protection around him where his life is in danger, for The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them Psalm 34:7. Give him understanding to fear Your holy name, to hate evil, and to depart from the evil woman and every snare of the enemy. Let him see the depth of Your love that is far greater than any counterfeit love the world offers, and let him walk in repentance and freedom. We declare deliverance over him in Jesus name, that every chain be broken and that he would follow You with his whole heart for Your glory. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to intercede for him with steadfast love and with boundaries that keep you safe, speaking the truth in love and trusting that God is able to make a way where there seems to be no way. Keep praying that he will come to true repentance and that he will be surrounded by godly counsel and fellowship that will strengthen him to stand. We trust with you that the Lord who is faithful will complete the work He has begun.

Thank you for bringing this man before the Lord so faithfully. We can hear your concern for him, not only for his spiritual walk but for his safety as you describe control and even danger in his current relationships. Carrying that kind of burden for someone is heavy.

We join you in asking God to give him a clear sense of who he is in Christ and a softened heart to hear the Lord's leading. Part of loving someone in this place is continuing to pray for his protection, wisdom and freedom while recognizing we cannot make his choices for him. It is faithful to keep lifting him up and to trust God with the timing and the way He works. As his former tenant, keeping respectful boundaries is wise, and you do not need to carry this alone. If you have a pastor or a couple of trusted believers nearby, letting them pray with you ongoing can be a steady support.

Father, we lift this man to you. You know him and love him. We ask you to draw him to yourself, open his eyes to your love, and give him courage to step away from what harms and controls him. Keep him safe where there is danger, surround him with influences that point toward truth, and give him wisdom for each next step. Give our friend peace as he entrusts this man to your care. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer has been brought to the right place, to the throne of grace where our Lord Jesus Christ is heard as the one great Substitute who bore sin in His own body on the tree. We join with you in asking the Father in His name, for it is through Christ alone that sinners are saved and cleansed, and there is no other way of salvation.

We pray with you for this man who once rented his flat to you. We ask the Lord who is able to deliver even when the soil slips from under a man's feet and he is ready to go down to the pit, to speak that word over him, Deliver him from going down to the pit, for I have found a ransom. Job tells us that God opens the ears of men and seals their instruction that He may withdraw man from his purpose and hide pride from man. May the Lord so open his ears in the night watches or by the plain preaching of the Word, that he may look away from himself and look unto Christ and live. That looking is trusting in His one great sacrifice, that sin was punished upon the Substitute and put away forever from all who trust Him.

We ask that God would grant him not a superficial repentance which springs only from terror and withers in a night, but that true repentance which gives glory to God and goes to the heart. Such repentance is skin deep and tends to corruption, but true repentance hates sin because it slew Christ and turns from it to live as the holy God would have us live. You are right to pray that his stony heart would be broken and softened. That work is not drawn up from the depths of our own heart as water from a well, but is wrought by Christ through His Holy Spirit. Repentance and faith are inseparable companions. The repentance that ejects sin as an evil tenant and the faith which admits Christ to be the sole master of the heart must go together. Any repentance that keeps a man from believing in Christ needs itself to be repented of. So we pray that the Lord would give him both, a godly sorrow for sin and a joyful faith to receive remission of sins through the blood of Jesus Christ, which cleanses from all sin.

We pray that he may know his true identity, not in the false identities which the world and our own desires invent when we stray from the narrow path, but in Christ as a sinner who may become a child of God by faith. The Scripture teaches that He has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son. The power of darkness is great, for it holds men by the fascination of sin and by the prince of the power of the air, and yet this deliverance is greater. We ask the Father, to whom we must look altogether and alone for sanctification and deliverance, to teach him the mischief of loving the world and to make vain every temptation that would hold him.

With you we pray that the Lord would separate him from ungodly influences, even those in his own household, and from every hateful and controlling entanglement where he is led into danger and held by fear or blackmail. We do not ask God to bless any relationship that stands outside His holy ordinance, for marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and all intimacy and dwelling together outside it is contrary to His good design. We ask instead that God would give him understanding to fear His holy name, to see such relationships as sinful and harmful, to depart from evil and from the evil woman in his life, and to walk in the narrow way which leads to life.

May the Lord keep him in safety where his life is threatened, and more than that, keep his soul. May He give him courage to follow Christ at any cost, to declare with a joyous faith, I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. We will continue to plead for him that he may be found not merely reformed for a season, but truly converted, looking to Christ alone, washed, and made to live to the praise of the glory of His grace.

We encourage you to continue in prayer and in kindly witness to him, speaking the truth in love and pointing always to Christ crucified, for it is not the truth in a book alone which saves, but that truth taken by the Holy Spirit and laid home to the heart. May the Lord hear your agreement together in Jesus' name and answer according to His wise and merciful will.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join you in bringing this man before the heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ, thanking God for the cross where His holy Son suffered for us and made a way for deliverance from evil and for adoption as sons.

We agree with you in asking the Lord to draw this man to Himself and to give him a clear sight of who he is in Christ. Scripture teaches that our true hope is not in carnal relationships or in following our own desires, but in repentance and in putting on Christ, so that we may receive the Spirit of adoption and be called sons of God. We pray that God will soften what has been hard in his heart, break the stony heart and give a heart that fears His holy name and desires the narrow path.

We pray that godly sorrow would work in him repentance unto salvation, a repentance that brings no regret. Even when a person has wandered far and followed his own way into sinful relationships and activities, repentance still has great force to set free from the burden of sin and to establish in safety those who have come into danger, if they will lay hold upon it. Christ can be formed in us again. Let him not fall into despair, for to sin does not destroy so much as to despair of mercy, but let him take comfort in the patience of God which gives space for amendment and full deliverance.

We ask the Lord to separate him from ungodly influences, including those in his household that would pull him back, and to open his eyes to see the truth about relationships that are controlling and harmful and contrary to God's good design for marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, with sexual union belonging only within it. We do not ask God to bless what is outside His will, but to deliver from it. We ask for protection where there is control, blackmail and danger to his life, and for courage to depart from evil and from every enticement that leads away from holiness.

We pray that he will taste the heavenly gift of forgiveness, be made a partaker of the Holy Spirit, and hear the good word of God with understanding, so that he may walk in continence and in faith.

We will continue to pray for him and for you, that you both may be strengthened to persevere in prayer, to trust the Lord's thoughts which are far greater than ours, and to rest your hope in His mercy and power to save and to keep. In the powerful name of Jesus we pray, amen.
