Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we thank you for the cross and for the fact that your holy Son, Jesus, suffered for all of us who believe. We praise your holy name. Lord, you know the plans you have for us, and your thoughts are far greater than ours. We come to you together in the name of Jesus, believing that you hear our prayers when we agree. Lord, you know this man who rented his flat to me, and he is also your child. Lord, help him to hear your voice concerning your holy plan for his life. Help him to see the clear, unmistakable truth about his identity in Christ. Open his eyes to the false identity he adopted when he entered into sinful relationships or activities and strayed from your narrow path and followed his own desires. Lord break his stony heart and give him courage to follow the narrow path and soften his heart for your glory. I also pray that you will separate him from ungodly influences, including those in his household, and that he will recognise the depth of your love, as well as the sinful and hateful relationships he has entered into, in which he is controlled, blackmailed, and where his life may be in danger. Give him understanding to fear your Holy name. Lord, give him understanding to depart from evil and the evil woman in his life. In Jesus' powerful name we ask these things, amen.

We join you in thanking our Heavenly Father for the cross and for His holy Son Jesus who suffered for all who believe, and we praise His holy name with you. We agree together in the name of Jesus, believing that He hears us when we agree, for Jesus said where two or three are gathered in His name, there He is in the midst of them, Matthew 18:20, and that if two of us agree on earth concerning anything that we ask, it will be done for us by our Father who is in heaven, Matthew 18:19.

We are moved by your intercession for this man who rented his flat to you. We stand with you in asking the Lord to reveal His plans for him, for we know His thoughts toward His children are good, Jeremiah 29:11, and His thoughts and ways are higher than ours, Isaiah 55:8-9. We pray that the Lord will open his eyes to his true identity in Christ, for if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, the old things have passed away, behold all things have become new, 2 Corinthians 5:17. When a person turns from the narrow path that leads to life and follows his own desires into sinful relationships and activities, he takes on a false identity that is rooted in sin and deception. We must speak clearly here that any sexual relationship outside of marriage between a man and a woman is sin before God, whether it is fornication or adultery, and the Lord calls us to flee sexual immorality, 1 Corinthians 6:18, and to honor marriage, for marriage is to be held in honor among all and the marriage bed undefiled, Hebrews 13:4. We believe in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, and any relationship outside of that, including relationships where a person is controlled, blackmailed, or in danger, is not of God and must be forsaken. The Lord also calls us not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers and warns that bad company corrupts good morals, 2 Corinthians 6:14 and 1 Corinthians 15:33, so we agree with you that he needs to be separated from ungodly influences, even those in his own household, and from the evil woman in his life who leads him away from holiness.

We also hear your concern that he is being controlled and blackmailed and that his life may be in danger, and we bring that before the Lord who is our deliverer and refuge, Psalm 34:17, Psalm 91:1-2. We pray that God will break the stony heart and give a heart of flesh, Ezekiel 36:26, and give him the courage to choose the narrow gate and the narrow way that leads to life, Matthew 7:13-14, and to fear the holy name of the Lord, for the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, Proverbs 9:10, and to depart from evil, Proverbs 3:7. True deliverance comes when we submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee from us, James 4:7, and when we walk in the light and confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, 1 John 1:9. If the Son makes us free, we will be free indeed, John 8:36.

So we pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your mercy and for the blood of Jesus that makes a way for us to come boldly before Your throne. We lift up this man to You, Your child whom You know by name, and we ask You to speak to him in a clear unmistakable way about Your holy plan for his life. Open his eyes to see who he is in Christ and to see the false identity he has taken on through sin. Convict him of the sinful relationships and activities that have led him off Your narrow path, and grant him godly sorrow that leads to repentance. Break his stony heart, soften it by Your Spirit, and fill him with courage to turn away from fornication and all sexual immorality and to pursue purity and holiness. Separate him from every ungodly influence and from every controlling and hateful relationship where he is manipulated and blackmailed, and keep him safe from all danger and from the schemes of the evil one. Help him to recognize the depth of Your love and also the depth of the sin that has entangled him, and give him understanding to fear Your holy name and to depart from evil and from the evil woman who entices him. Surround him with godly counsel and with believers who will speak truth in love, and if it is Your will for him to marry, lead him to a godly spouse and a marriage that honors You. We also pray for the one who intercedes for him, that You will give wisdom, protection, and perseverance in prayer, and that You will not allow discouragement to take root. We ask all of this in the powerful and only saving name of Jesus, through whom we have access to You and in whom there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12, amen.

We encourage you to continue to intercede with love and truth, speaking the Word gently but firmly when God gives opportunity, remembering that the Lord desires all to come to repentance, 2 Peter 3:9, and that He is able to deliver to the uttermost those who come to Him. Keep your own heart guarded in prayer and in the Word, and trust that God who began a good work will be faithful to complete it.

We are thankful you brought this man to the Lord with such care and persistence. We hear how heavy this has been for you, watching someone you know be pulled into relationships and influences that have left him controlled and even fearful for his safety, and longing for him to see clearly who he is in Christ and to walk the narrow path again.

What stood out to us is your prayer for his true identity. A life rooted in Christ gives a steady reference point when so much else is shifting or pressuring him from every side. That kind of identity is not built on outward success or on what others demand of him, but on character and belonging before God, and it can only take hold as he himself listens and responds to the Lord. Our part is to keep cooperating with the Holy Spirit and inviting Jesus, the one who sets free, to work in his heart in His timing.

It helps to keep your role simple and sustainable. Continue to lift him in prayer as you have been, keep healthy boundaries as his former tenant, and if he is ever open, gently point him toward a trusted pastor or mature Christian community where he can be heard without pressure. You do not have to carry the weight of changing him or managing those around him.

Father, we lift this man to You and ask for Your mercy and protection over him. Soften his heart to hear Your voice, give him courage to turn from what harms him, and separate him from influences that control and endanger him. Give him a clear sense of Your love and wisdom for each step ahead, and give our friend peace as he entrusts him to You. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Your prayer has been heard and we join with you in it before the throne of grace, agreeing together in the name of Jesus that the Lord will hear and answer according to His perfect will.

There is hope for this man, for our God is gracious and says, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, I have found a ransom. Job 33:24. Nobody would have thought of that way of deliverance of a sinner from the pit of hell through a ransom if God had not thought of it, but He has both invented the way and found the ransom Himself. It is a gift of Divine Love. The King's own Son has borne the penalty of all our iniquities, and through His blood there is undeserved deliverance from all punishment for those who believe. This is the only ground upon which any of us may stand, for salvation is through Jesus Christ alone.

We pray with you that the Lord would make this truth unmistakably clear to him, that his true identity may be seen not in the false names which sin gives, but in Christ alone. When a man is born again it must be from above, and there is no true liberty but that of which Christ makes us free. Deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin, and we must look to our heavenly Father altogether and alone for it. He alone can break the stony heart and give a heart of flesh, and give courage to walk in the narrow path which leads unto life.

We join you in asking that the Lord would be gracious unto him and keep back his soul from the pit, and deliver him from evil company, for God has said, Deliver him from going down to the Pit. May the Lord in His mercy separate him from ungodly influences, even those in his own household, and from every sinful entanglement by which he is controlled and led into danger. The Scriptures teach that marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that all sexual intimacy and living together belong within that covenant alone. Every path outside of it is a straying from the narrow way, and we pray that he may see this and fear the holy name of the Lord and depart from evil.

Affliction and chastening, though sore for the present, come by the Lord's own hand, who kindles the furnace and sits as a Refiner at the door. That which we receive from the rod of the Lord bears the blessed aspect of chastening from a Father's hand, and this makes even the sharpest smart to be profitable. May the Lord use all these troubles to awaken him, to show him the mischief that comes from loving the world and the things thereof, and to draw him to Himself.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, we thank Thee for the cross and for Thy holy Son Jesus who suffered for all who believe. Thou knowest this man and Thou knowest the plans Thou hast for him, for Thy thoughts are far greater than ours. Be gracious unto him and command deliverance for him, for Thou hast found a ransom. Open his eyes to see his true identity in Christ and to turn from every false identity he has taken up in sin. Break his stony heart, soften him by Thy Spirit, and give him courage to follow Thee in the narrow path. Separate him from every ungodly influence and from the evil woman and every controlling and hateful entanglement that endangers his soul and body. Give him understanding to fear Thy holy name and to depart from evil, that he may be delivered from the power of darkness and translated into the kingdom of Thy dear Son. We ask not that Thou wouldst bless what is contrary to Thy Word, but that Thou wouldst save and sanctify according to Thy mercy. In the powerful name of Jesus we ask these things, amen.

Continue to wait upon the Lord, for deliverance is by Divine power and not by the will or running of man, but of God that showeth mercy. When the Lord delivers, the delivered soul shall not die but live and declare the works of the Lord.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
