Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we thank you for the cross and for the fact that your holy Son, Jesus, suffered for all of us who believe. We praise your holy name. Lord, you know the plans you have for us, and your thoughts are far greater than ours. We come to you together in the name of Jesus, believing that you hear our prayers when we agree. Lord, you know this man who rented his flat to me, and he is also your child. Lord, help him to hear your voice concerning your holy plan for his life. Help him to see the clear, unmistakable truth about his identity in Christ. Open his eyes to the false identity he adopted when he entered into sinful relationships or activities and strayed from your narrow path and followed his own desires. Lord break his stony heart and give him courage to follow the narrow path and soften his heart for your glory. I also pray that you will separate him from ungodly influences, including those in his household, and that he will recognise the depth of your love, as well as the sinful and hateful relationships he has entered into, in which he is controlled, blackmailed, and where his life may be in danger. Give him understanding to fear your Holy name. Lord, give him understanding to depart from evil and the evil woman in his life. In Jesus' powerful name we ask these things, amen.

We join you in lifting up this man before the throne of grace and we thank you for bringing his need before the Lord with such burden and compassion. We agree together in the name of Jesus, for He alone is our mediator and our deliverance.

We praise God that you have come in the name of Jesus and through the cross, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved and by which we have access to the Father, as it is written Acts 4:12 and John 14:6. We see your heart is to see this man set free and restored to his true identity in Christ, and that is the very heart of God.

We understand this man has strayed from the narrow path and has adopted a false identity through sinful relationships and activities, following his own desires rather than the Lord's holy plan. Scripture is clear that when we walk after the flesh we become entangled and deceived, but when we are in Christ we are made new. Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17. We pray he will see that his true identity is not found in sin, in lust, or in ungodly attachments, but as a child of God, created in Christ Jesus for good works.

We must speak plainly about the sinful relationships you mention, including the evil woman in his life. God calls all sexual intimacy outside of marriage between a man and a woman to be fornication or adultery, and He calls us to flee from it. Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 1 Corinthians 6:18. The lips of an adulteress drip honey. Her mouth is smoother than oil, but in the end she is as bitter as wormwood, and as sharp as a two-edged sword. Her feet go down to death. Her steps lead straight to Sheol. Proverbs 5:3-5. We rebuke the enemy's hold through these sinful and hateful relationships where he is being controlled, blackmailed, and even where his life may be in danger. Such bonds are not love, for love does not manipulate or enslave, and we pray God will open his eyes to see the difference between godly love and the counterfeit that leads to destruction. Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship has righteousness with iniquity. 2 Corinthians 6:14.

We also pray for his stony heart to be broken and made soft before the Lord. God promises I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:26. Only the Lord can do this work, and we ask Him to grant this man the fear of the Lord which is the beginning of wisdom, and understanding to depart from evil. Be not wise in your own eyes. Fear Yahweh, and depart from evil. Proverbs 3:7.

We pray together for his deliverance and protection.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ Your Son who suffered and died on the cross and rose again for our redemption. We thank You for Your mercy and for Your plans for this man, for we know Your thoughts toward us are thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11. Lord, we ask You to speak clearly to him and help him to hear Your voice above every other voice. Remove the veil from his eyes that he may see his true identity in Christ and renounce the false identity the enemy has placed upon him. Break his stony heart, soften it by Your Holy Spirit, and give him courage to choose the narrow path that leads to life, for narrow is the gate and narrow is the way that leads to life. Matthew 7:14.

Father, in the name of Jesus we resist the devil and his schemes over this man's life and we ask You to separate him from every ungodly influence, including those in his household who draw him away from You. Let every chain of control, blackmail, manipulation, and fear be broken, for if therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:36. Expose the evil for what it is and grant him godly sorrow that leads to repentance and the understanding to depart from the evil woman and from all fornication and impurity. Wash him and cleanse him, for if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9. Surround him with godly counsel and protect his life from danger, for You are close to the brokenhearted and You deliver the righteous out of all their afflictions. Lead him into a life of holiness, and if it is Your will for him to be married, prepare him to pursue a godly marriage that honors You, as marriage is honorable in all and undefiled. Hebrews 13:4.

We also pray for you who have interceded faithfully, that the Lord will strengthen you and keep you from discouragement, and that you will continue to stand in the gap with love and truth. Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7. We trust that God who hears our prayers when we agree together will work powerfully in this man's life for his deliverance and for Your glory. In the powerful and saving name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

We appreciate you bringing this man before the Father with such reverence for the cross and such care for his life. To intercede for someone who once rented to you, and to want to see him free and whole, is a loving burden to carry.

We hear how concerned you are that he has built a false sense of who he is on choices and relationships that have pulled him from God's path, and that he is now entangled with influences that feel controlling and even unsafe. An identity rooted in Christ is steadier than any identity we try to build on our own desires or on other people. It becomes a quiet reference point when everything else is confusing or pressuring, and it helps a person see more clearly what is loving and what is harmful. We join you in asking that his heart would soften to hear God's voice and that he would find courage to step away from what is harming him.

A steady way to love him well from your position as a former tenant is to keep your prayers consistent while leaving the outcome in God's hands, keeping kind and clear boundaries, and if he does reach out, gently pointing him toward a trusted pastor or Christian counselor who can walk with him face to face.

Father, we lift this man to You and ask You to draw him close, to show him Your love, to soften his heart and give him wisdom and courage to turn from evil and from influences that harm him. Keep him safe, separate him from what endangers him, and give our friend peace as he entrusts this to You. In Jesus' name, amen.

We join you in bringing this burden before the throne of grace, and we thank you for coming in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved, and no ransom for the Pit except that which God Himself has found in His Son.

Your prayer is right to ask not merely for outward relief but for a true work of grace within. Judgments apart from divine grace may produce a kind of repentance, a fear of consequences or a sorrow for trouble, but such repentance gives no glory to God and leads to no lasting deliverance from sin. It is fallen nature washed and brushed, yet still fallen nature, the heart not renewed and the life not regenerated. What this man needs, and what you have rightly sought, is that repentance unto life which is a hatred of sin and a turning from it, a determination in the strength of God to forsake it. That repentance is inseparable from faith. Any repentance that keeps a soul from believing in Christ needs itself to be repented of, while the repentance that ejects sin as an evil tenant is the same grace that admits Christ to be the sole master of the heart.

We therefore pray with you to our gracious God who says, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, I have found a ransom. The prisoner ready to be executed finds undeserved deliverance because the King's own Son has borne the penalty of all his iniquities. This is the gift of divine love, that Christ suffered on the cross for all who believe. We ask that the Lord will be gracious unto this man, keep back his soul from the Pit, and deliver him both from the guilt of sin and from the power of darkness. For deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin, and we must look to our heavenly Father altogether and alone for it.

We ask the Lord to break the stony heart and to give a heart of flesh, to open his eyes to see his true identity in Christ and the false identity he has adopted in following his own desires upon the broad way. May the Lord grant him grace to see tribulation and chastening as from a Father's hand, to fear His holy name, and to understand that true life is found only on the narrow path. We pray that God will soften his heart for His glory and give him courage to depart from evil, to forsake every sinful relationship and activity that is contrary to God's holy design. For marriage is ordained by God as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and all intimacy outside of it is sin against Him. We do not ask God to bless what He calls sin, but to grant deliverance from it.

We join you in asking that the Lord will separate him from ungodly influences, including those in his household, and from every controlling, hateful and perilous entanglement, and from the evil woman who would lead him further astray. May He deliver him from evil company and from the snares of those who would blackmail or harm him, and set his feet in a place of safety and holiness. May He teach him the mischief that comes from loving the world and the things thereof, so that temptation may be in vain.

We pray that this chastening may not be in vain, but that being delivered, he may live and declare the works of the Lord, walking by faith from the wicket gate to the celestial city with repentance as his daily companion, bringing forth works meet for repentance that last and prove true.

We will continue to remember you and this man before the Lord, asking that both of you may know more deeply the love of Christ which alone breaks the power of sin and brings the soul out of darkness into His marvelous light. Amen.
