Deliverance prayer for the former ###

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we thank you for the cross and for the fact that your holy Son, Jesus, suffered for all of us who believe. We praise your holy name. Lord, you know the plans you have for us, and your thoughts are far greater than ours. We come to you together in the name of Jesus, believing that you hear our prayers when we agree. Lord, you know this man who rented his flat to me, and he is also your child. Lord, help him to hear your voice concerning your holy plan for his life. Help him to see the clear, unmistakable truth about his identity in Christ. Open his eyes to the false identity he adopted when he entered into sinful relationships or activities and strayed from your narrow path and followed his own desires. Lord break his stony heart and give him courage to follow the narrow path and soften his heart for your glory. I also pray that you will separate him from ungodly influences, including those in his household, and that he will recognise the depth of your love, as well as the sinful and hateful relationships he has entered into, in which he is controlled, blackmailed, and where his life may be in danger. Give him understanding to fear your Holy name. Lord, give him understanding to depart from evil and the evil woman in his life. In Jesus' powerful name we ask these things, amen.

We join with you in this burden and we agree together before the Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus for this man who once rented his flat to you. We thank God that you have come with a heart of intercession and not condemnation, for it is God's desire that all should come to repentance, 2 Peter 3:9.

We hear your cry for his deliverance and we affirm the biblical truths you have prayed. You have rightly seen that when a person strays from the narrow path and follows his own desires he adopts a false identity. The Word tells us, Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new, 2 Corinthians 5:17. Any identity built on sinful relationships or activities, whether it be fornication, adultery, or homosexuality, is false because God created us male and female in His image, Genesis 1:27, and calls us to find our identity as children of God through faith in Christ. The scriptures are clear that sexual immorality in all its forms keeps us from God's best, Don't you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God's Kingdom. Don't be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God's Kingdom, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, but the very next verse gives hope, Such were some of you, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God, 1 Corinthians 6:11. There is washing and deliverance in Jesus.

You prayed for his stony heart to be broken and softened and we claim the promise, I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh, Ezekiel 36:26. Only God can do this work, and we pray He will give this man courage to choose the narrow way, for narrow is the gate and restricted is the way that leads to life. Few are those who find it, Matthew 7:14. We also join you in praying that he will be separated from ungodly influences, even those in his own household, for the Word warns, Don't be deceived. Evil companionships corrupt good morals, 1 Corinthians 15:33, and, Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord, 2 Corinthians 6:17. If he is entangled with an evil woman, we know the scriptures warn that the adulteress hunts for the precious life, Proverbs 6:26, and her ways lead down to death, Proverbs 5:5. Sex before or outside of marriage as God ordained between one man and one woman in lifelong marriage is fornication or adultery and must be repented of and forsaken. We pray he will see these relationships as you described, controlling, hateful, and even dangerous, and that he will fear the Lord, for The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom, Proverbs 9:10, and that holy fear will cause him to depart from evil, Proverbs 16:6.

We lift him up now together.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the cross and for Your holy Son Jesus who suffered for all who believe. We come into agreement in Jesus' name for this man whom You know and love. Lord, open his eyes to see the clear and unmistakable truth of who he is in Christ and expose the lie of the false identity he has embraced. Break his stony heart, give him a new heart of flesh, and give him courage to follow You on the narrow path. By Your power set him free, for If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed, John 8:36. Separate him from every ungodly influence and from the evil woman and any controlling and blackmailing relationships that endanger his life. Surround him with Your protection, for The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them, Psalm 34:7, and bring him to genuine repentance so that he may confess his sins and be forgiven, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, 1 John 1:9. Teach him to fear Your holy name and to depart from evil, and lead him into Your perfect plan for his life, for we know the plans You have for us are for peace and not for evil, to give hope and a future, Jeremiah 29:11. We ask this in the powerful and only saving name of Jesus, for there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to stand in the gap for him with love and truth, speaking the truth in love, Ephesians 4:15, and not condoning what God calls sin, but showing the grace that delivers from it. Keep praying with faith, for The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results, James 5:16, and trust that God's thoughts are higher than ours, Isaiah 55:8-9, and He is able to do far more than we ask.

We were touched by how faithfully you are interceding for your former landlord. It is a compassionate thing to keep lifting him to the Lord after your renting relationship has ended, and to care both for his walk with God and for his safety.

We hear your longing for him to know who he is in Christ and to find freedom from the false identities and entangling relationships that have pulled him away from the narrow path. An identity rooted in Christ is steadier than anything built on other people, desires, or pressures, and we join you in asking God to make His love and truth clear to him in a personal way and to give him courage to step toward what is good.

It is heavy to watch someone seem controlled, blackmailed, or in danger, and you cannot carry that burden alone or change his household for him. A helpful next step as you keep praying is to share this burden with a trusted pastor who can pray with you with wisdom and help you discern healthy boundaries as a former tenant. If you ever believe he is in immediate danger, encourage him to get help right away through local emergency services.

Father, we lift this man to You in Jesus' name. Soften his heart, open his eyes to Your love, and give him understanding and courage to turn from what harms him and to walk in Your way. Protect him from influences that control and endanger him and keep him safe. Give our friend who is praying peace, wisdom, and guidance for what is his to do. Amen.

Your prayer has been brought before the Lord and we join our hearts with yours in seeking mercy for this man.

We thank God that you have come in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we may approach the throne, and no other ransom by which a soul can be delivered from going down to the Pit. It is written, He is gracious unto him, and says, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, I have found a ransom. That ransom is not our tears, nor our forms, nor our resolutions, but what Christ has done upon the cross where He was made sin for us that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. When Christ was bound, His people were set free, and when He died, they lived.

You have prayed well that his stony heart may be broken and his eyes opened to his true identity in Christ. This is the very work of God, for deliverance from the power of darkness is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. At first sin catches a man as with a spider's web that can scarcely be seen, but soon it holds him as with cords of steel, and none can break those cords but the Lord Himself. We cannot by our own power withdraw a soul from his purpose, but God can. He opens the ears of men and seals their instruction, that He may withdraw man from his purpose and hide pride from man.

We pray with you that God will grant him not a carnal repentance that comes from terror alone and withers in a night, but a godly repentance that needs not to be repented of. Judgments apart from divine grace may produce a kind of repentance that is superficial and skin deep, where a man turns from sin for a time and then returns to it with greater gusto. Beware of that repentance which springs only from fear. The repentance that saves is that which is joined inseparably to faith, a repentance that leads a man to look out of self to Christ and to Christ only. Do you rejoice in Jesus crucified, do you love Christ, do you trust Him as He is set forth to be a propitiation for sin, this is repentance after a godly sort.

Therefore we do not ask the Lord to bless or to affirm any sinful relationship or any false identity that is contrary to His holy Word. Marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and all intimacy outside of it is outside the narrow path. We ask instead that the Lord will be gracious and show him the sinful and hateful nature of those entanglements in which he is controlled and in danger, that He will give him a holy fear of His name and understanding to depart from evil, and that He will separate him from ungodly influences, even those in his household, for His glory.

We pray thus: Heavenly Father, look in grace upon this man for whom Christ suffered. Speak over him that word of power, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, for Thou hast found a ransom. Break his stony heart and give him a heart of flesh. Grant him godly sorrow that looks to Jesus and lives. Deliver him from the power of darkness and translate him into the kingdom of Thy dear Son. Keep him from returning to the chains from which Christ came to set him free, and cause him to walk in the light where Thou art. Lead him to forsake every evil way and to find his life and identity in Christ alone, who alone can make him a new creature. We ask this not because we are worthy, but because Jesus Christ is worthy, and His blood still pleads for sinners. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join you in thanking God for the cross and for the suffering of His holy Son Jesus for all who believe, and we join you in bringing this man before the Lord in prayer.

We agree with you that God hears when His people pray together in the name of Jesus, and that His thoughts and plans for us are far greater than our own. We pray with you that this man would hear the voice of the Lord and come to see the truth about who he is in Christ. Scripture teaches that our true identity is found not in our desires or in the relationships we choose for ourselves, but in being created by God and, by faith and baptism, being made new in Christ, crucified with Him so that we might die to sin and live to God.

Sin is a fearful thing and brings ruin to the soul, and often its corruption overflows even into the body and into every part of life. That corruption is not merely an outward act but a change for the worse within, where the heart becomes hardened and the soul loses its beauty and health. For this reason we do not ask God to bless or affirm any relationship or way of living that is outside His holy design, for marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and sexual union and living together belong within that covenant alone. To ask God to bless what He calls sin would not be love, and would not bring deliverance.

Instead we pray as you have prayed, that God would break a stony heart and soften it, that He would open eyes to see any false identity that has been taken on and to recognize sin for what it is, so that he may turn from it. We pray that he would be given courage to walk the narrow path, to depart from evil and from ungodly influences, including those in his own household who may be leading him further into danger, control or blackmail. We pray that he would come to fear the holy name of the Lord in the right and saving sense, which is to love what God loves and to turn away from what harms the soul, and that he would know the depth of God's love which calls sinners to repentance and new life.

We also pray for his protection, for God knows where his life may be in danger and where he is being controlled or harmed. Yet we remember that God often allows trials not only to deliver from outward death but to teach the soul to despise sin and to desire what is incorruptible. True deliverance is not only being kept safe for a moment, but being made whole, being enabled to say sin no more lest a worse thing come, and to live in such a way that Christ lives and works within.

So we ask the Father to grant him repentance, faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation, cleansing and healing, and strength to mortify what belongs to the old life and to walk in purity and virtue through Christ. We ask that he would be separated from what corrupts and be surrounded by what helps him toward holiness, and that he would receive the Spirit of adoption as a son of God.

We encourage you to continue to pray with both truth and mercy, to speak the truth in love and to live before him as one who has died to sin and lives to God, trusting that God is both merciful and just and will give to each according to His wisdom. May the Lord give you perseverance in prayer and may He bring this man to complete turning and restoration for His glory. In the name of Jesus we pray, amen.
