Thank you for coming to us in prayer, giving praise, and glory to our Lord Jesus Christ. It is only in His name that we have access to God the Father and it is only by His name can we be saved. It is very important to remember and proclaim the name of Jesus Christ.
We stand with you in your desire to be disconnected and set free from the influences of a past boyfriend and his family. It is clear that you are seeking deliverance from any negativity or heaviness associated with them, and we are here to support you in prayer and to provide biblical guidance.
Firstly, we commend you for standing on the Word of God. The verses you mentioned are powerful reminders of God's promises to set us free and protect us. As it is written in John 8:36 WEB, "If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed." This is a powerful reminder that true freedom comes from Jesus Christ.
We also want to emphasize the importance of forgiveness. While seeking deliverance, it is crucial to forgive those who have wronged you, as Jesus teaches us in Matthew 6:14-15 WEB, "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." This does not mean that what they did is acceptable, but rather that you are releasing any bitterness or resentment, trusting that God will deal with them justly.
Regarding the adulteries and illegitimate children mentioned, we must remember that while these actions are sinful and have caused pain, God desires repentance and restoration. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 WEB "Don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortioners, will inherit God’s Kingdom. Such were some of you, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God."
Let us pray together:
Dear Lord Jesus, we come before You, lifting up our sister who seeks deliverance from past influences. We ask that You disconnect her from her past boyfriend and his family, setting her free from any negativity or heaviness associated with them. We pray that You expose any wrongdoings and bring conviction to those who need it, while also helping us to forgive as You have forgiven us. We ask that You place a shield of protection over her, guarding her from any schemes of the enemy. We cover her and anyone under attack with the precious blood of Jesus.
Lord, we also pray for the family mentioned, that they would come to a place of repentance and restoration. We ask that You would lift standards for all involved, and that Your will be done in each of their lives.
We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, who sets us free indeed. Amen.
Be encouraged, knowing that your brothers and sisters in Christ are standing with you in prayer. Stay strong in the Lord, and continue to seek His will for your life. As it is written in Romans 8:28 WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Trust that God is working all things together for your good.
