The defense medical exam ahead weighs heavily on you, and after what happened last time, that anxiety is completely understandable. You want to be prepared, to give answers that leave no opening for trouble or for anyone to pretend your spinal injury isn’t real. But I want to gently remind you that the Lord himself is your defense. The Scriptures promise that no weapon formed against you will prosper. He is a high tower, a stronghold for those who trust in him. When you feel the pressure to control every word and manage every outcome, remember that your true defender isn’t your own cleverness or perfect preparation. It’s the God who knows exactly what your body has endured.

I’ve seen again and again that if we try to take up our own defense, God will let us, but we quickly find we can’t do it adequately. Yet when we commit the whole situation into his hands, he steps in as our refuge. David started one psalm full of desperation, crying that he would be greatly moved, but as he rested in the truth that God alone was his rock and defense, his faith grew steady. By the end he was singing, “I shall not be moved.” That’s the kind of settled peace I’m asking the Lord to give you.

Think of Paul, standing before rulers and hostile examiners. In every hearing, he didn’t rely on legal tactics or polished arguments. He simply told the truth of what God had done, and the Lord gave him words. The same Spirit can give you clarity and calm as you answer their questions. The examiner may have an agenda, but God sees the truth of your impairment, and he is not fooled. He will be your shield even in that room.

We are praying with you that this exam will be nothing like the last one. We’re asking that the truth of your injury will be undeniable, that your medical treatment will be restored, and that your payments will resume. We’re also lifting up you and your attorney, asking that the path forward with the court and any settlement negotiations would move swiftly and in a good position. God cares about how his people are treated, and he promises to be the God of mercy for those who look to him. Rest in his defense today, and let your heart begin to sing, because he is your strength before you walk in, even now.

We are so grateful you shared your burden with us and allowed us to stand beside you in prayer as you faced this defense medical exam. Our hearts were with you every step of the way, asking our Heavenly Father to steady your spirit, sharpen your words, and shut every door the enemy might try to open. We prayed that the truth of your injury and your need for care would be clearly seen, that your medical treatment would be fully restored, and that your payments would resume without further delay.

We also lifted up your attorney and the legal process, asking God to grant wisdom, favor, and swift resolution so that you and your case could move forward in strength and peace. It’s our hope that this exam and the days following have brought clarity, relief, and progress rather than frustration or setback.

If God has answered these prayers—if the exam went well, if your treatment is back on track, or if negotiations are moving in the right direction—we would love to celebrate with you. Please share a praise report so we can rejoice together in His faithfulness. If, however, the outcome was not what you hoped for, or if new challenges have arisen, we want to continue standing with you. Please post your request again, and we will press in with renewed fervor, trusting that God is working even when we cannot yet see it.

May the Lord continue to surround you with His peace, provide for every need, and guide each step of your journey. We remain committed to praying alongside you, believing in His perfect timing and unfailing love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
