Beloved of All
I have a defense medical exam this week for a work injury. I had one before and it was a disaster. Please pray that this DME would be nothing like the last one. Please pray that I would be prepared and that my answers would give the enemy no wiggle room to open up a can of worms or cause trouble or to pretend I am not impaired from the accident, which was a spinal injury. Please pray my medical treatment would be restored and for my payments to be resumed in Jesus’ name. Please pray that my attorney and I can move forward from this quickly and in a good position with the court and in settlement negotiations in Jesus’ name. Amen. Thank you so much for your prayers.

We stand with you in this challenging time, lifting your concerns before the Lord with faith and earnestness. Your request touches on justice, healing, and provision, all areas where God’s Word assures us He is near to the brokenhearted and hears the cries of His children. First, we want to affirm that your reliance on Jesus’ name is the foundation of our prayers. It is through Him alone that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that His peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind as you prepare for this exam (Philippians 4:7).

Father God, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister, asking for Your divine intervention in this defense medical exam. Lord, we rebuke any spirit of confusion, deception, or injustice that may seek to distort the truth or undermine the severity of this injury. We declare that no weapon formed against him/her will prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that the enemy will find no foothold in this process. We pray that the examining physician would be guided by integrity, fairness, and a genuine desire to understand the extent of the injury. Let every question be met with clarity and wisdom, and may our brother/sister’s responses leave no room for doubt or manipulation. Prepare his/her heart and mind, Lord, so that he/she may speak with confidence and truth, reflecting Your light in this situation.

We also lift up the restoration of medical treatment and the resumption of payments. Father, You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and we trust that You will meet every need according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). We ask that You soften the hearts of those responsible for these decisions and grant them wisdom to act justly and compassionately. Let there be no unnecessary delays or obstacles, but instead, a swift resolution that honors Your will and brings relief to our brother/sister.

For the attorney and the legal process, we pray for favor in the courts and in settlement negotiations. Lord, grant them unity of purpose and strategy, and let Your hand guide every conversation and decision. We declare that this matter will move forward quickly and that the outcome will reflect Your justice and mercy. May our brother/sister and his/her attorney be aligned in faith and perseverance, trusting in You to fight this battle on their behalf (Exodus 14:14).

We also want to gently encourage you to lean on the Lord’s strength during this time. The enemy may seek to bring discouragement or fear, but we are reminded that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Stand firm in the knowledge that the Lord is your defender and your healer (Exodus 15:26). Surround yourself with Scripture that builds your faith, such as Psalm 37:5-6: "Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun."

Lastly, we want to remind you that even in the midst of this trial, God is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). He sees your pain, your frustration, and your need, and He is faithful to walk with you through every step. We pray that you would sense His presence in a tangible way, bringing comfort and hope as you wait on Him.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers and for Your promise to never leave or forsake us. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love. Strengthen our brother/sister in body, mind, and spirit, and let Your will be done in this situation. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We remember that you had a rough experience with a defense medical exam before, and it makes complete sense that you’d feel on edge about this one. Going in with a spinal injury on the line is daunting, and we’re sorry the last one left you so rattled. We’re praying with you, not just for a painless process, but for a truly fair one, where the truth of your injury and limitations is seen clearly.

It may help to meet with your attorney briefly before the exam to go over what you can expect, what traps to be aware of, and how to answer questions honestly without inadvertently opening those “cans of worms.” Jotting down a short list of your daily limitations and symptoms can also keep your mind steady when the questions come. You don’t have to go in rehearsing a performance, just prepared and clearheaded.

At the same time, we know that the most powerful thing happening this week isn’t just your planning; it’s the prayers of others surrounding you. Many people in crisis have told us that simply knowing they’re being prayed for by name settles something deep inside, even before a single word is spoken in the exam room. We are among those standing with you right now.

Let’s bring this to the One who sees every detail:

Father, thank You that You are present in this exam room even now. Give Your child a steady mind, a calm heart, and clarity of thought. May the physician see the truth of this spinal injury, and may the report reflect what is real, not minimized, not distorted. We ask for restored medical treatment and the resumption of rightful payments. Grant this attorney wisdom and favor, and clear the path toward a just and swift resolution. We trust You with the outcome, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

You have brought your burden to the house of prayer, and we lift it before the mercy seat. That defense medical exam stands before you like a dark cloud, but the Lord goes before His people in the pillar of fire. His shield always moves in front; His sword clears the way. Lean upon that unseen arm, for faith perceives what the eye cannot trace. The adversary would twist your words and open a door for mischief, but the Lord can shut the lion’s mouth and give you a wisdom that none shall dispute. He can turn the examiner’s heart as a watercourse. Rest in that.

Consider Peter: his fall was grievous, yet his restoration was swift and complete. One look from Christ undid the wreck of the night. That look was altogether between the Lord and Peter, yet in an instant a mighty work was done. The same Lord looks upon you now, not in wrath, but in covenant favor. He will not treat you as your fears deserve. The work of recovery, your health, your provision, your standing, rests in His hands, and He comes with all His heart to bless. He takes the great hammer of His power and strikes upon the anvil of His wisdom, and the pieces fly into place. Trust Him for the hour.

This is not a call to sloth, but to a labor that leans hard upon Him. Work with your attorney, speak truth with calm reliance, and let the Holy Spirit’s inner working stir you to diligence. You have a day for this work; the night comes when no man can labor, but now is the time. He will restore your treatment, open the channels of provision, and bring a swift settlement, for the Lord’s favor hasteth like the wind. Be of good courage; He will perfect that which concerneth you, and you shall yet stand and feed His flock with a testimony of deliverance.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Do not arm yourself for battle against this examiner as though he were your enemy. For you have not been wronged: you are not the injured party, but if anyone is injured, it is the one who, through falseness or hardness of heart, might pervert justice or deny your true impairment. The soul that works such things heaps up fire for itself, while the one who suffers unjustly and yet does not return evil for evil gains a crown. Therefore, instead of praying that your answers give no “wiggle room” or that the enemy be foiled, strive rather to be truthful without guile, to be patient, and to bless those who examine you.

Give thanks for this trial, and pray for the one who examines you, that God would have mercy on him and lead him to truth. For nothing so delights God as when we repay evil with prayers and benefits, not with anxiety and the sharpening of our tongues against others. Let your own heart be your courtroom: accuse yourself of any impatience or bitterness, and leave the outcome to the Judge of all, who knows your injury and will exalt you if you bear this nobly. Do not fear that they might pretend you are not impaired; the truth stands before God, and He is faithful.

Entrust your treatment and your payments to Him, and let your soul be still. The greatest injury is not to lose payments or face an unjust report, but to lose charity and peace. Flee from the spirit of contention and idolatrous trust in legal stratagems; set your hope on Christ, who sees all and will not forsake you. And if you do this, you will move forward not merely with a good position in court, but with a serene conscience and a wealth that no settlement can give.
