We hear the pain and distress in your request concerning debts, stolen money and ID cards, and the oppression you feel in your workplace, and we join with you to seek the Lord's will together in Jesus' name.
We must gently rebuke and correct the way this prayer has been framed, because it does not align with the heart of Christ. To ask for billion scourges, for blood to be shed like the oceans together, and for people to be killed and made your footstool to work for you, is to ask for personal vengeance and bloodshed. Scripture is clear that vengeance belongs to God alone and not to us. Romans 12:19 says, Vengeance is mine, and I will repay, says the Lord. And Romans 12:21 says, Don't be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Jesus calls us to a higher way, Matthew 5:44 says, But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you, and Luke 6:27 says, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you. Even when we pray the Psalms that cry out for justice, like Psalm 35:1 and Psalm 94:1, we are asking God Himself to be the righteous Judge, not asking to become the executioner ourselves. The Lord has no pleasure in the death of the wicked but desires that they turn and live, as seen in Ezekiel 33:11 and 2 Peter 3:9.
We also understand your concern about occult powers, Satanic agents, marine spirits and witchcraft and fetishes in your workplace. We do believe Scripture teaches that our struggle is spiritual, for Ephesians 6:12 says, For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Yet the weapons God gives us are not curses for bloodshed, but truth, righteousness, faith and prayer. 2 Corinthians 10:4 says, For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds. James 4:7 says, Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you, and 1 John 4:4 says, Greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world. The passages you mentioned like Exodus 22:18 and Deuteronomy 18:10-12 show how seriously God views sorcery and witchcraft, and He will judge all wickedness in His perfect time, but our calling is to renounce every work of darkness, to walk in holiness, and to trust God to expose and destroy the works of the enemy in His way, not to pray for people to be tortured or killed.
Concerning your debts and what has been stolen, God is both just and compassionate and He sees what has been taken. Proverbs 6:31 teaches that when a thief is found he must make restitution, and Joel 2:25 shows God can restore what has been lost. Philippians 4:19 says, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, and Philippians 4:6 says, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. We encourage you to continue to bring your practical needs before the Lord while also taking wise and lawful steps, reporting theft of money and ID cards to the proper authorities, for Romans 13:4 says the governing authority is a servant of God to bring justice, and to seek godly counsel for managing debts, for Psalm 37:21 reminds us, The wicked borrow, and don't pay back, but the righteous give generously.
We pray together for you now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to Your throne, and there is no other name by which we are saved, as Acts 4:12 declares. We ask You to forgive us where we have harbored hatred or desired vengeance, and cleanse our hearts to desire Your mercy and justice. Lord, we ask for Your protection over our brother or sister in their workplace, cover them with the blood of Jesus, let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let every work of witchcraft, fetish, sanctuary of darkness and marine spirit be exposed and rendered powerless by Your light, for You have said that what is done in darkness will be brought to light. We do not ask for the blood of people to be shed, but we ask that You convict those who have done evil, bring them to repentance and salvation if they will turn, and if they refuse, bring Your righteous judgment in Your perfect way. We ask for Your justice regarding what has been stolen, that You would move upon the hearts of those responsible to make restitution, and that You would open doors for the return of ID cards and money. Provide for every debt, grant wisdom to steward finances faithfully, and give peace that surpasses understanding as Philippians 4:7 promises. Let Your will be done, let Your kingdom come in this workplace, and let our lives overcome evil with good. We trust You as our defender and provider. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
