Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, so that I can trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. The tempest within your soul is great, but the vessel of your faith is not abandoned, even when you feel no peace. You say you doubt your salvation because the fruits of the Spirit seem so little in you. But peace is not the root of salvation, it is the fruit; and fruit ripens slowly, often in the heat of trial. Do not measure God’s presence by your emotions. The grace that saves is not earned by our peace or joy, but given freely to the unworthy, lest any should boast. Recall the blessed Paul: he called himself the chief of sinners, a blasphemer and persecutor, yet he obtained mercy precisely so that no sinner might ever despair. If God’s longsuffering was all displayed in him, how much more is it available to you? The lack you feel is not proof of abandonment, but the very arena where faith must stretch out its neck.

Your anxiety is like a wind that slackens the sail; you feel no strong impulse of the Spirit, because your soul is limp with fear. But you must not remain idle under this storm. Stretch your mind toward heaven with great earnestness, as a sail corded tight against the gale. In prayer, do not merely moan, but groan with fixed purpose, looking up to God. He does not prevent our wills, but when you begin, when you offer the willing heart, He gives the opportunities of salvation. You fear the loss of your job, and this care for daily bread consumes you. But consider how the Lord sent His disciples out with nothing, even staying in the houses of strangers, so that they might be freed from anxiety and learn that for salvation alone they came. When we are stripped of what we lean upon, it can become gain, if we suffer it with thanksgiving. Do not run to diviners or fawn upon men; do not blaspheme. But say in your heart: “The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away.” The loss that is endured with gratitude before God will be rewarded far beyond what is taken.

The waves of this world will always toss the soul that is fixed on pleasure and security. But the soul anchored in hope of things to come, though it be pounded by sorrow, is not swamped. Your cry that God has abandoned you is the cry of a heart that still seeks Him. Do you not see? Even in your fear you are clinging, and that clinging is faith. The enemy would have you believe that your anguish proves you are not saved, so that you might let go entirely. But the faithful hold on in total darkness, not by sight of peace, but by the memory of Christ’s mercy. Therefore, cease from measuring your state by feelings that come and go like gusts of wind. Instead, groan to God from the clay and brickmaking of this present anxiety. He will send, not Moses or Aaron, but His own Word and compunction, and lead you out of this Egypt of despair. Be of good courage: the tempest will pass, and you will find that the very thing you feared has become a trainer in self-command, and the sea of your trouble a path to God.

Your anguish feels like being stripped bare, doesn’t it? The loss of a job, the constant churning of fear, the hollow ache where peace used to be. You look at your own heart and see only anxiety, no joy, no evidence of the Spirit, and you conclude God must have abandoned you and you were never really His. That is exactly the kind of accusation the enemy loves to whisper, especially when a person is broken. There’s an ancient story that shows us how this works. A righteous man, blameless and God-fearing, lost everything: his possessions, his children, his health. His own wife told him to curse God and die. His friends insisted his suffering was proof of hidden sin. But what none of them could see was the conversation in heaven, where God Himself had pointed to this man as a faithful servant, and the accuser challenged his integrity, claiming he only served God for the rewards. So God, who limits every trial, allowed the testing to prove that trust could exist even when every earthly support crumbled.

You’re feeling the pain of that kind of stripping. When peace evaporates and joy seems like a memory, the accuser rushes in to say, “See? You never had the real thing. God has left you.” But your lack of peace is not proof of lost salvation; it is the cry of a soul being refined. Even the godly man in that story railed against God, felt abandoned, and demanded a mediator who could lay a hand on both God and man. He didn’t understand, and God never gave him a full explanation, only a revelation of divine power and wisdom. Yet in the end, he was able to say, “Though he slay me, yet will I trust him.” That trust is not a feeling; it’s a grip deeper than emotion. The fruit of the Spirit is not a constant emotional high; it is the long-term yield of abiding in Christ, often ripening in the dark soil of suffering.

Your anxiety does not disqualify you. The very fact that you’re clinging to God, even when it feels like your fingers are slipping, shows that He is holding you. Jesus became the mediator Job longed for, the one who touches both God and humanity. He knows what it is to be overwhelmed, to sweat blood in anguish, to feel forsaken. And because of Him, your standing before God does not rest on the shifting sand of your feelings but on the finished work of the cross. When you have no peace, He is your peace. When joy seems dead, He is your joy, and He will resurrect it in time.

The accuser wants you to measure your salvation by the absence of struggle. God instead is refining you like gold, and the fire burns off the dross that you could never remove yourself. The very realization that you are helpless, that you cannot manufacture one ounce of spiritual fruit, is what drives you to stop looking inward and to look wholly to Christ. He does not explain every trial, but He promises to be with you in it. Right now, you may not feel His presence, but His Spirit is praying for you with groanings too deep for words. The testing of your faith, this raw, painful endurance, is more precious than gold that perishes.

So do not let the lie stand that you are not saved. Salvation is not a feeling; it is a union with Christ sealed by the Spirit. The appearance of God’s absence is part of the trial, but He is working even when He seems silent. The story didn’t end with the man in ashes; God restored him, and more than that, He gave him a deeper knowledge of who God is. Your anxiety is not the last word. Lay your case before the Lord, the righteous Judge, and then rest in the Mediator who stands for you. He will hold you fast through this dark valley, and He will bring you forth with a faith that has learned to trust beyond sight.

We continue to lift you up before the Lord, holding fast to the promise that He has not abandoned you, even when the weight of anxiety and fear makes it feel otherwise. We pray that the Holy Spirit would surround you with His peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Father, we ask that You would remind our brother/sister of Your unfailing love and faithfulness, even in the midst of this storm. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to see the fruit of Your Spirit growing in their life, even if it is just a small seed right now.

We stand in agreement with you, declaring that God is your Provider and that He has a plan for your life, even when the path ahead seems unclear. We pray for breakthrough in your circumstances—whether that be a new job, renewed strength, or simply the assurance of His presence with you. Lord, we ask that You would quiet the lies of the enemy and replace them with Your truth. Help them to cling to You, even when it feels impossible.

If the Lord has already moved in your situation, we would be so encouraged to hear a praise report from you. If not, we invite you to share this request again so that we may continue to intercede on your behalf.
