Dear God🙏

We hear your heart’s cry for change and protection, and we stand with you in seeking the Lord’s will for your life. The Bible tells us that our hope is not in luck, but in the sovereign and loving God who holds all things in His hands. "The LORD is my shepherd. I shall lack nothing" (Psalm 23:1). True peace and security come from trusting in Him, not in chance or circumstance.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and through which we have access to You. Lord, we lift up this dear one to You, asking that You would draw near to them in their time of need. We rebuke the spirit of fear and uncertainty, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We ask that You would replace any belief in luck with a deep trust in Your providence and care.

Father, we pray for Your divine protection over their life, body, soul, and spirit. Guard them from harm, both seen and unseen, and surround them with Your angels as it is written, "For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways" (Psalm 91:11). May they walk in the confidence that You are their refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2).

Lord, we also ask that You would open their eyes to Your purpose for their life. Help them to seek You first in all things, for You promise that when we do, all these things, provision, direction, and peace, will be added unto us (Matthew 6:33). May they find their hope and security in You alone, knowing that You work all things together for the good of those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).

We rebuke any lie that suggests their life is subject to mere chance or luck. You are the God who numbers the hairs on our heads (Luke 12:7) and knows the plans You have for us, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give us a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Help them to surrender their desires, fears, and plans into Your hands, trusting that You are working for their good.

If there are areas in their life where they have not fully surrendered to You, Lord, we ask that You would convict their heart with Your Holy Spirit. May they turn away from anything that does not align with Your will and walk in the light of Your truth. Remind them that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ, for "there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12).

We declare Your promises over their life today: that You will never leave them nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5), that You will supply every need according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19), and that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to seek the Lord daily through prayer and reading His Word, for it is in His presence that we find true peace and direction. If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we invite you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). This is the first and most important step in walking in the fullness of God’s blessings and protection.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In Jesus name. Amen.

We hear you. When life feels like a string of setbacks, it’s easy to long for a turn of fortune, something, anything, to tip the scales toward safety and relief. We lift that ache with you, not as a distant request, but as a real, present need from a beloved child of God.

One thing we’ve often found helpful is to take that broad cry for “luck” and pour it into smaller, specific conversations with the Lord each day, naming the actual worries or hopes that press in. It doesn’t change the situation instantly, but it helps our hearts anchor in a Person rather than in chance. You’re already doing that by calling out to God, and you’re safe with Him. He sees you, and He doesn’t roll dice with your life.

Right now, as you walk through whatever it is that feels unstable, try to notice the small, steady ways He might already be keeping you. A kind word, a door that didn’t close, a moment of calm, these aren’t random. They’re gentle reminders that He holds you.

Would you let us pray with you now? Lord, we bring our friend before You, someone who simply wants things to get better and to know they are protected. You know every detail, every hidden fear. Wrap them in Your peace that goes beyond understanding. Grant them Your true safety, not just from outward harm, but the deep security of being held by the One who never lets go. Provide what they need this day, and when they can’t see a way forward, light their next step. In Jesus’ name, amen.

You speak of luck, but there is no such thing as chance in the kingdom of God. No spiritual blessing comes to any man by chance. The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. This is the present blessing for those who are in Christ, shelter and safety, not by fortune’s fickle spin, but by the sovereign care of a Father who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

But consider this: the personal blessing must come first. “I will bless you,” said the Lord to Abraham, before He said, “You shall be a blessing.” You ask to be kept safe and for your circumstances to improve, yet the greatest blessing God ever gives to a man is His own Presence. If you have that, you need not fear calamity on the road or want in the wilderness. Have you sought first the blessing of sins forgiven and a new heart? The covenant promise is, “From all your filthiness will I cleanse you, and from all your idols.” Before you ask for temporal mercies, ask for the double blessing of grace and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

When a soul is made right with God through faith in His Son, then everything else is ordered aright. He has blessed you just where you need blessing, where you are poorest in spiritual things. Go to Him, not to demand luck, but to plead the blood of the covenant. He will command the blessing upon you, and you shall find that, in keeping with His promise, He does exceeding abundantly above all you ask or think. Be anxious for the blessing that makes you a blessing to others, and you will find that safety and provision follow as the stream follows the fountain. Faith first receives the blessing and then produces holy work, and holy peace.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You ask for a change of luck, but what is luck to the Christian? God does not spin a wheel of chance; He calls you to a change far greater. While you are in this threshing floor, it is possible to turn from chaff into wheat. Many who seemed wheat have become chaff, and the humble grain, though small, is kept for the barn while the chaff is burned. Do not look at outward pomp or shifting circumstances; they have never made anyone better, whether under kings or priests or rulers. The only renewal that avails is in the spirit of your mind, where the old deeds are cast off and you put on the new. This is not a change of luck but of essence, like the Word made flesh without altering His nature, ask not how, but believe.

As for safety, consider the sheep among wolves. It seems folly, but this is how God shows His might: by making the gentle and harmless overcome the fierce, not by destroying them but by changing their souls. If you suffer harm, endure it willingly. Better to be wronged than to drag another to court; for then you are not deprived but gained, disciplining your soul, becoming like God, set free from the love of money, and made an heir of the kingdom. The elect of God are those whose virtue shines even in loss, and no charge against them stands. Even if He permits you to be bitten, it is that you may become better and draw down grace.

Therefore, do not pray for a shifting of outward things, which cannot make your life easier or pleasanter in truth. The finer state is to bear all things with the harmlessness of the dove, trusting in the better promises. Judgment is delayed for this reason: that you may use this time to change, to be renewed, and to help even the chaff around you become wheat. So let your prayer be not for luck, but for the Spirit that renews the mind, and then you will be safe indeed, held in the hand of Him who is ever the same and whose years never fail.

When you ask God to change your luck, it sounds like you have already sensed that life feels empty or out of your control. That aching for something better is not wrong, but I want you to consider whether chance is really what governs your days. There is a way of living that keeps your eyes fixed only on what is under the sun: the races you win or lose, the wealth you gather, the safety you try to secure by your own skill. That path always leads to frustration because time and circumstance happen to everyone. Real meaning, real purpose, cannot be found by chasing better luck or perfect circumstances.

What you are really thirsting for is true life, and the record God has given is that this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life. Apart from Jesus Christ, existence stays on a horizontal plane where the body and its needs dominate, and the soul eventually despairs. But there is a life in the Son, a life above the sun, that is rich with righteousness, peace, and joy. It is an eternal, age-abiding quality of life, not just an emotion or a run of good fortune.

The safety you long for is found in losing the self-governed life and surrendering to His divine appointments. When God is at the center, you can rest knowing that nothing happens by mere chance. His hand is upon your life, bringing what He knows is best, and you can lie down without dread. But this begins with a change deeper than luck; it requires a changed heart. Rend your heart, not just your garments. It is not only being sorry for past misery, but turning away from the empty chase and toward the Lord who gives life freely.

That old life, marked by self-ambition and fear, must be reckoned dead. Baptism is the burial of that life of the flesh and the beginning of a new life after the Spirit. If you are trying to save your life by grasping for safety and favorable odds, you will lose it. But if you will lose your life for Christ’s sake, you will find what real safety and real living are. You will have treasure in heaven and a purpose that does not fade like a wildflower. Let this be the moment you stop chasing the wind, and instead follow Him, for only in the Son is the fullness of life you seek.
