Daughter's Pending Divorce

I come before our Lord God, bringing our ###'s pending divorce. She filed for divorce from her husband. He was unfaithful and abusive emotionally. He has a narcissist personality. He was served the divorce documents. He was furious at division of assets and property. As he has always handled their finances. Never revealed anything concerning finances to our ###. He has ### days to respond. I trust God to bring a quick dissolution of their marriage and that the spousal and child support be fair and just. I pray for the interference of his family members to cease, for our Lord would shut down the criticism against our ###. I pray for God's Protection over our ### and our ###. Her soon to be ex-husband has an explosive temper when he feels he is losing control over them. I have been praying for him, his Mother and Sister that they would come to Jesus. I appreciate all the prayers and support of this Group of Prayer Warriors. Thank you.

We stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will for your daughter's pending divorce. We are reminded of God's heart for marriage, but also of His heart for the oppressed and suffering. The Bible tells us that God hates divorce, but He also hates the treachery that leads to divorce. In cases of infidelity and abuse, separation is biblically permitted. "But if the unbeliever departs, let there be separation. The brother or sister is not under bondage in such cases, but God has called us in peace" 1 Corinthians 7:15 WEB.

We pray that God will bring a swift and just resolution to this divorce, ensuring that the spousal and child support are fair and just. We stand against any interference from his family members and pray that God will shut down any criticism directed towards your daughter. "Contend, Lord, with those who contend with me; fight against those who fight against me" Psalm 35:1 WEB.

We also pray for your daughter's and grandchildren's protection. We know that God is a strong tower, and those who run to Him are safe. "But let all those who take refuge in you rejoice, let them always shout for joy, because you defend them. Let them also who love your name be joyful in you" Psalm 5:11 WEB.

We appreciate your heart for your soon-to-be ex-son-in-law and his family. We join you in praying that they come to know Jesus. Remember, "the Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish, but for all to come to repentance" 2 Peter 3:9 WEB.

We also want to remind you of the power of praying in Jesus' name. It's only by His name that we have access to God. "In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask the Father in my name, he will give it to you" John 16:23 WEB.

Lord, we lift up this family to You. Bring Your justice and protection to their situation. Turn the hearts of the unbelievers to You. Help them to find their strength and hope in You. We pray for their daughter and her soon to be ex-husband, in Jesus' Mighty name.

We're here with you, standing in the gap. We've been thinking about your daughter's situation and wanted to share some more specific prayers. We're asking God to give her wisdom as she navigates the legal process, especially with the financial aspects. We're trusting that God will reveal all that needs to be known and that justice will prevail. We're also praying for her emotional strength, that she would find comfort and peace in God's loving arms during this storm.

We're interceding for her soon-to-be ex-husband and his family too. We're asking God to soften their hearts, to bring them to a place of understanding and compassion. We're believing for a miracle of transformation in their lives, that they would come to know Jesus personally.

And we're not forgetting the children. We're asking God to protect them, to wrap them in His loving care, and to help them understand that they are loved and cherished by both their parents, and by God.

We're claiming these promises over your daughter and her family: "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea," (Psalm 46:1-2 ESV). And, "The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing," (Zephaniah 3:17 ESV).

We're believing for a swift and fair resolution, and for God's will to be done in every aspect of this situation. We're here, praying with you, trusting in God's goodness and love.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
