Coworkers bullying

Anonymous

Beloved of All
They are always looking for a target to bully, I am fed up with their dismissive gaining up maliciousness please pray for this

We hear your cry for help and stand with you in this difficult situation. Workplace bullying is a serious issue, and no one should have to endure such treatment. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 4:29, "Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear." It is clear that your coworkers are not living by this principle, and their behavior is not pleasing to God.

We rebuke this spirit of bullying and malice in the name of Jesus Christ. We declare that it shall not prosper, and we pray that God will intervene in this situation. In Matthew 5:44, Jesus instructs us, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you." This is a challenging command, but we know that with God, all things are possible.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up our brother/sister who is being bullied at work. Lord, we ask that You would give them strength and courage to face each day. We pray that You would surround them with Your love and protection, shielding them from the harmful words and actions of their coworkers.

Father, we ask that You would soften the hearts of these bullies. We pray that they would come to know You and experience Your transforming love. Help them to see the error of their ways and to turn from their malicious behavior. We declare that their plans to harm will be thwarted, and they will be unable to find a target in our brother/sister.

Lord, we also pray for wisdom for our brother/sister. Give them the words to say and the actions to take that will honor You. Help them to respond in a way that reflects Your love and grace, even in the face of adversity. We pray that You would open doors for them to share their faith and be a light in their workplace.

Father, we ask that You would provide a way out of this situation if it is Your will. Whether that be through a change in the bullies' behavior, a new job opportunity, or another solution, we trust in Your perfect plan. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

In the meantime, we encourage you to seek godly counsel and support from your church community. It is important to have people around you who can pray with you and offer encouragement. Additionally, consider speaking with a trusted supervisor or human resources representative about the situation, as they may be able to provide assistance and support.

Remember, you are not alone in this. God is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and trust in Him to guide you through this challenging time. We will continue to stand with you in prayer, believing that God will bring justice and peace to your workplace.

We hear how exhausting this has been for you, being singled out and ganged up on with that dismissive, malicious tone day after day. It makes complete sense that you are fed up. No one is meant to carry that kind of targeted treatment at work.

We want you to know we are standing with you in prayer and what you are going through matters. One way to think about this is that healthy boundaries are like a property line. They help clarify what you will take responsibility for and what you need to protect, like your dignity, your time and energy, and your right to be treated respectfully. That line does not control how coworkers act, but it can give you steadier ground as you decide how to respond.

A couple of steady steps that have helped others in a similar place:

Keep a private note of what happens, when it happened, what was said or done, and who else was present. Writing it down can help you feel less overwhelmed and gives you clear facts if you choose to talk with a trusted manager or HR.

Identify one safe person to help you carry this. That might be a respectful supervisor, an HR contact, or someone outside work who can offer perspective and support. Using others to help protect yourself is a healthy part of boundaries.

If you need language in the moment, a brief calm line like, I want us to keep this respectful so we can get the work done, can hold your line without escalating.

Father, we lift our friend to You right now. You see every interaction and the weight this has put on them. Give wisdom for each conversation, guard their heart with peace, and provide protection and fairness in their workplace. Lead them to the right support and bring relief from this bullying. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Hebrews 13:6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

Psalm 37:40 And the Lord shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.

Deuteronomy 20:4 For the Lord your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.

Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.

Psalm 27:5 For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.

Proverbs 16:7 When a man's ways please the Lord, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.

Psalm 37:1 Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.

Psalm 97:10 Ye that love the Lord, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.

Jeremiah 39:18 For I will surely deliver thee, and thou shalt not fall by the sword, but thy life shall be for a prey unto thee: because thou hast put thy trust in me, saith the Lord.

Luke 1:71 That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us.

Your burden has been laid before the Lord and before His people, and the weariness of being made a continual target is heard. To face day after day a ganging up of dismissive and malicious words is a sore trial that can wear down the heart, and the Lord sees it.

Scripture calls us to consider Him who endured such contradiction of sinners against Himself. Our Savior endured it with singular courage and holy equanimity. He was calm in the midst of scorn and contradiction, though He is great in dignity and perfect in nature. He knows what it is to be set upon by many, for He was found as though in the felon's dock, though innocent, and He bore it of set purpose for the bearing of our sin. There is a halo round about our griefs since Jesus Christ endured them first, and your grief is not hidden from Him.

Think too of how the hostile agencies laughed and jeered when Jerusalem was being built, Sanballat and Tobiah and Geshem mocking the work. So still there are tongues that delight to wound and to single out another. Yet God was not hindered then in building up Zion, and He is not hindered now. He will be your defender and your strength.

Let us pray for you.

Our Father in heaven, we lift this weary one before Thy throne of grace. Thou seest the bullying, the dismissive malice, the ganging together against one whom Thou hast made and for whom Christ died. Thou knowest the sting of it and the faintness it brings. Draw near, as Thou hast promised to draw near in the day that we call upon Thee. Grant singular courage and holy calm, that this Thy child may endure without returning evil for evil and without fainting in the mind. Keep this heart as we consider Christ who endured such contradiction, and let the sight of His dignity and perfection give strength and peace. Soften the hearts of those who do this wrong, bring conviction where there is cruelty, and restrain what is malicious. Provide wise and righteous help in that workplace, and open a way to relief and protection. Sustain day by day and let Thy glory be seen in building up and keeping Thine own. In the name of Jesus our Redeemer we ask it. Amen.

We will continue to bear you up in prayer, that the Lord would sustain you, give you wisdom in all dealings with those around you, and lift this burden in His good time.
