court case in ###,### hours for eviction (seeking safe home)

Disciple of Prayer
Hello friends, Thank you for being here and reading this. I had posted a prayer request in the recent past, thread ###. That story is now coming to a close (I hope). My sincere apologies if it's not ok to start a new thread, though my fear and anxiety are so intense, I wish to thank you all for the prayers given then. I try to reread them at times, but tear up and cry after each mention of support and reference to the bible to aid my inner struggling. Now my court hearing starts in ### hours, where my housing corporation after ### years of letting me be harassed and stopping government financial support last January for rent will now try to evict me and make me homeless. I feel shameful asking for more prayers, but tomorrow is such a big thing for my life. I truly hope I may be granted a new safe home where I can recover. Any help would truly be appreciated. The prayers I received a few weeks ago and I feel that helped me pull through to the actual court date, and legal battles during that. I don't know how to properly ask for what I need. I am very discombobulated and in a chronic hypervigilance having brought me in a constant nervous breakdown state, it seems. Praying that Jesus will help to teach me to handle or let go of the guilt, shame, anxiety, trauma,.amongst other things. And asking the LORD may bless all parties involved to do the right thing and let justice prevail and everyone find their path (back) to Jesus. Thank you for your time reading this. Any help for how I can pray better would be greatly appreciated too! 🙏🏻 Thank you for having read this. May Jesus bless and guard over you and your loved ones ❤️

We have read your request with heavy hearts and we are standing with you in prayer right now as your court hearing approaches in just hours. Please do not feel shameful for asking for more prayers, we want you to know that God invites us to come to Him again and again without shame. We are told to approach the throne of grace with boldness that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need Hebrews 4:16 and to pray without ceasing 1 Thessalonians 5:17. Your tears when you reread the prayers and scriptures are not a weakness, they show a tender heart that is seeking the Lord in the midst of deep distress, and He sees every tear. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18.

We understand the intense fear and anxiety, the chronic hypervigilance and feeling of being in a constant nervous breakdown state after years of harassment and the loss of financial support and now the threat of eviction and homelessness. This is a heavy burden and it is not surprising you feel discombobulated and overwhelmed. We want to gently rebuke the lie that you should carry guilt and shame for needing help or for asking for prayer. There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus Romans 8:1 and guilt and shame that keep you trapped are not from the Lord. Anxiety itself is not a sin, but God calls us to cast all our worries on Him because He cares for us 1 Peter 5:7. We are told in Philippians 4:6-7 not to be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1. When your heart is overwhelmed lead me to the rock that is higher than I Psalm 61:2.

We are also praying for justice in that courtroom. The Lord loves justice Psalm 37:28 and He sees when you have been harassed and when wrong has been done. We pray that every person involved, the housing corporation, the judge, and all parties, will act with honesty, integrity and fairness, and that the true facts will be clearly seen. Whether the outcome is to remain or to be provided a new safe home, we pray above all for God's will and for your protection and provision. Our Father knows you need a safe place to live and to recover. Seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:33. He promises He will never leave you nor forsake you Deuteronomy 31:6 and He invites you to come to Him when you are weary and burdened and He will give you rest Matthew 11:28.

You asked how you can pray better. We want to encourage you that God does not require perfect words, He desires an honest heart. You can pray simply and plainly, just as you have written to us, telling Him exactly what you feel, fear, need and hope for. You can pray throughout the day in short cries for help, and you can also quietly rest in His presence. Casting your cares on Him, thanking Him that He hears you through Jesus, and asking for His peace to guard your heart is a beautiful prayer.

We now join together and lift you up before the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and it is in His name we are saved and heard John 14:6, Acts 4:12.

Father in heaven, we come before You together in the name of Jesus for our dear friend facing this court hearing. Lord You see the fear, the trauma, the hypervigilance, the exhaustion and the tears. We ask You to wrap Your arms of peace around them right now and let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard their heart and mind. Lord calm the nervous system, quiet the spiraling thoughts, and lift the heavy weights of guilt and shame and anxiety, and replace them with Your assurance that they are loved, seen and not condemned. We ask for Your justice to prevail in that courtroom tomorrow. Let truth be spoken clearly, let every decision be fair and righteous, and let no injustice stand. Father we ask for Your provision of a safe home, a quiet and secure place where healing and recovery can truly begin. You are the One who makes a way when there seems to be no way Isaiah 43:19. Bless all parties involved and draw each heart back toward You and toward what is right. Teach our friend how to release what they cannot control into Your hands and to trust You one day, one hour at a time. We thank You that You are our refuge and strength and that You will never leave or forsake us. We entrust this court case, this housing need, and this precious life into Your sovereign and loving hands. In the mighty and merciful name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

We were grateful to hear from you again, especially with this hearing so close and so much weighing on you. It makes sense that fear and anxiety feel overwhelming right now, and please don't feel shame for asking for prayer again. You are welcome here as often as you need.

Waiting for a court decision about your home, after years of strain and the loss of support, would leave anyone feeling discombobulated and on edge. We hear how much you long for a safe place to recover, and for relief from the guilt and trauma that have built up.

As the hours count down, one small thing that sometimes helps is to have a simple written note to take with you, your key points, important papers, and the outcome you are hoping for, so you don't have to hold it all in your head when nerves are high. If you can, let someone you trust know when the hearing is, and plan a quiet place to go afterward, whatever the result.

We also noticed you mentioned being in a constant state of hypervigilance and breakdown. Alongside prayer, please consider reaching out to a doctor or counselor or other trusted professional for support with what your body and mind are carrying.

Father, we bring our friend before You in these next hours. Give calm and clarity in the courtroom, guide all who are involved toward what is right and just, and provide a safe place to live and heal. Lift the weight of shame and anxiety, and teach gently how to rest in Your care. In Jesus' name, amen.

I had anxiety, I know how it felt to feel judged all the time.

I have good news for you friend, I consider you as my friend and I won't judge you. I got prayed over at my church and my anxiety healed with the power of Jesus Christ the lord.

If you ever need anyone to chat to I will be here for you dude, don't be sorry, it's all good! 👍 Jesus forgives all, and so do I.

Your letter has been read with much tenderness and prayer before the Lord, and we thank you for entrusting us with the burden that has pressed so heavily upon you these many years and now in these hours before the court.

You speak of fear and anxiety so intense that you are in a constant state of hypervigilance and nervous distress, of guilt and shame and trauma that will not let you rest. Do not be ashamed to ask for prayer, for it is no shame to be needy before the mercy seat. Have you not found yet that the very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. Fear is weakening and it dishonors God, for it whispers that the arm which piled the heavens and sustains the pillars of the earth shall be palsied when you most need it. Therefore labor to get rid as much as possible of fear. The Lord has planted this word plentifully in His garden, Fear not, Fear not. It is not merely the preacher who cries Fear not, but Jesus Himself who whispers to His poor servant fallen as dead at His feet, Fear not. He says, Fear not for I am with you, be not dismayed for I am your God, Fear not thou worm Jacob, I will help thee saith the Lord.

You are commanded, if you are indeed a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, to play the man and let your faith overcome your fear, obeying that gracious word, Casting all your care upon Him for He cares for you. That is right, but if you are telling yourself about it and your anxiety is confined to yourself, no good will come of that. Tell Him. Carry this eviction, this housing corporation, this loss of support, this long harassment, this dread of homelessness, directly to Him who cares for you. The fear of man brings a snare and many feet have been tripped by it, but the fear of God brings blessing. Let your fear be that holy awe and reverence which is the beginning of wisdom, not the tormenting dread which perfect love casts out.

You ask how to be taught to handle or let go of guilt and shame and anxiety. Know this, that forgiveness of sin is essential to true peace with God, and it comes only through Jesus Christ alone, through His precious blood. Where forgiveness is enjoyed, the Lord puts His fear in the heart, not a servile fear but a holy awe, and a new heart and a new spirit within you. If you have received the forgiveness of God for Christ's sake, you will come to love and fear Him with that childlike reverence which draws you toward Him rather than drives you from Him. In proportion as your faith in your Lord grows stronger, your fear will vanish, for looking unto Jesus delivers from bondage. Come then as a sinner to the Saviour, confessing all, trusting wholly in Him who died and rose again, and ask Him to cleanse you and to teach you to rest in His goodness.

We have prayed and will continue to pray for you in this court hearing. We ask the Lord to grant justice to prevail, to move upon all parties involved to do what is right, and to provide for you a safe home where you may recover and be guarded from further harm. We pray that He will give wisdom to those who judge, compassion where compassion is needed, and righteousness in all proceedings. We pray also that He will lead you and all concerned upon the path back to Himself, for there is salvation in no other name under heaven but Jesus Christ.

You ask how you can pray better when you feel discombobulated and do not know what to say. Prayer needs no fine words. Go to the Father through Jesus Christ alone, for He is the only way. Speak plainly as a child to his father. Name your need as you have named it to us. Say, Lord, I am afraid, I am ashamed, I am without a home unless Thou provide, help me, forgive me, deliver me. Cast your care upon Him in few and honest words, and then trust His promised strength. Be not dismayed at all, for His command is absolute and unqualified, Fear not. Let that command chide your fear and forbid your dismay, and then wait upon Him to help you to overcome it, for He has promised in three and four ways, I will help thee, I will uphold thee, I will strengthen thee.

May the Lord keep you in perfect peace this night and tomorrow, may He quiet your heart, steady your mind, and let you hear His own voice saying, Fear not. May He bless and guard you and your loved ones, and may His goodness lead you into a place of safety and rest for Christ's sake.

Thank you for your prayers. This really hits deep. I'm thankful to feel and let the tears flow, to release to the LORD almighty that which I cannot carry no more. 🙏🏻

Thank you so much for your prayer and advise. I will take a note with me, that it may indeed give some headspace. As for professional help, I've been to the doc who referred me on. But having been 'written off l' with c-ptsd in the past already they're refusing to help again, even after getting retraumatised. Now because of the "survival mode" as said by then I'm untreatable. It's really mind-bogging I'm left to fend for myself.
But I invite Jesus in my heart and to help teach me the ways to deal with these situations and ask him to help with the thoughts, emotions and feelings, to give me a place to lay my head.
Every night ask for a few hours to sleep without nightmares and to be woken up not directly in panic. Thank you again for your kind words and help 🙏🏻
