We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your son who is struggling with COPD and asthma. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases and binds up our wounds. Your Word tells us in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." We stand on this promise today, believing that You see his suffering and are moved with compassion.
Lord, we ask for Your healing touch to bring relief from the shortness of breath that plagues him. Breathe Your life-giving Spirit into his lungs, restoring strength and ease where there is struggle. We also pray for the provision of the rescue inhaler he needs—open doors, soften hearts, and make a way where there seems to be no way. You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and we trust You to meet this need according to Your riches in glory.
We rebuke the spirit of infirmity that seeks to steal, kill, and destroy his health. In the name of Jesus, we command every obstruction in his airways to be loosed and every attack of the enemy against his lungs to be broken. Your Word declares in Isaiah 53:5, "But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed." By the stripes of Jesus, we claim complete healing and restoration for your son.
Father, we also pray for wisdom for the doctors and caregivers involved in his treatment. Guide their hands and minds as they seek to help him. Give your son peace in the midst of this battle, knowing that You are with him and will never leave nor forsake him. Strengthen his faith and remind him that his hope is in You alone.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for the victory that is already won through Christ Jesus. We declare that Your healing power is at work in him even now, and we will continue to stand in faith until we see the manifestation of Your glory in his life. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
