Contradictions?In the Bible

We read thing in the Bible, then in another area of the Bible something is stated that seems to override it.Like, we read, "Believe, and you shall be saved, AND YOUR HOUSE."But we also read,"A mans enemies shall be they of his own household.,"Also, in the last days,"A father shall deliver a son up to persecution< and a son a father."{and others mentioned.} Now if we're all on the same page, why would a family members be delivering each other to persecution? Also, if anyone takes the mark of the beast they will lose all chance of salvation, yet this being in the last days it is believed that the unsaved loved ones are delivering the saved loved one to the Antichrist.Doesn't sound like someone whose whole house has been saved, does it?Also, about death, "The living are conscious that they will die, but the dead are conscious of nothing". Conscious of nothing? Then why do those who were beheaded during the Tribulation say,"How long, until You avenge our blood on those who dwell on the Earth?"If they were conscious of nothing, how would they remember what happened on Earth, and see what's happening then?Uh-huh..Or how would those in Heaven feel anything, if they went there after death?Or those in Hell feel the torment described? So what's up with these seemimgly contradictory verses in the Bible, and which do we believe if they give different messages? And complicating things more ,you listen to different pastors, and they all interpret a verse a diferent way.So..?

Did they actually experience the way they died? Have you ever almost died or possibly actually died for a minute or two? I have and yet I didn't feel anything at the time. I bounced off a few cars but I didn't feel anything until after I survived then I experienced the pains of this life. I was in the middle of a fuel explosion yet I didn't experience my face melting until after I survived. I choose to say what God has shown me instead of claiming the other for I believe God more than I believe myself. The translators could have used the word sleep in the case of a believer and the word death for a non believer but you wouldn't know that unless you saw it for yourself :)

Remember when Christ stated that there be some who will not taste of death until they see the Son of Man in His Glory? Does any True believer ever taste of death or did Christ die for us? God's Word is in how we perceive it and how Jesus gives us His understanding :)
Yeah, some who will not taste death, most pastors who study scripture as much as you do, say if the Rapture occurs before physical death, that's what it means.Do you know any Christians who are still alive physically who are 1000 years old? Are the apostles from 2000 years ago still walking around in their same physical bodies?

You are funny Steven! Didn't Jesus say that Abraham was alive? Didn't Jesus say to the person on His right, today you will be in paradise with me?

Love every single word there is in the bible. God has given to us not to question, not to change anything, not to turn around and not ever obey what it says. But instead, believe it with your whole heart. Gods word shall stand forever and ever. Amen

Funny, am I?Yes He said it, but define alive.I don't think He was referring to in the same physical body as on Earth. But let's put it to the test, you jump out of a plane at 35000 feet without a parachute, and tell me how you make out, ok?"Blessed are those who DIE in the Lord from this point--these will have no part of the SECOND death{the Lake of Fire. But they will rule and reign with Christ forever."This also seems to differentiate between the first death{physical} and the second death{spiritual}.Also, the unsaved in Hell have some kind of consciousness, because the Antichrist and False Prophet, read,"And the devil who deceived them was cast into the Lake of fire, where the beast and the false prophet already were. And THEY {including the antichrist and false prophet, who are human, not a spirit being like like the devil__will be tormented day and night forever and ever"If the unsaved dead were conscious of nothing, how could they experience torture? It would negate their punishment, they would have to feel SOMETHING.

Yes my friend, you make me laugh. I wouldn't test the Lord but if I had to I could be just fine :)

Haven't you ever heard of people's parachutes not opening and they were ok?

I'm not going to change my belief in that I am alive in Christ Jesus for ever more Steven! You are the one who likes to think on the physical, I am not thinking about myself on my terms for I am in the Holy Spirit and I am thinking on Jesus' terms bud :)

Ok, when I see you in the coffin, explain that.I added more to that reply, read that for an update.

If you actually see me in a coffin I will have a most excellent laugh Steven :)

It is a possibility that you might see me asleep in Christ in my physical body but you won't ever find me consumed by death for I know Jesus and I know Jesus Loves me! :)

You can call a saved by the blood of Christ's person dead if you like but you would be oh so wrong :)

Yeah, the BODY is temporarily{dead, asleep, semantics}until the resurrection, and what you said ,I might see you asleep in your PHYSICAL BODY,that's what I meant in the first place. The body doesn't just "disappear".

You are not getting what I am stating Steven. Our translators could have used the word sleep for true believers and death for non believers :)

Did you look up the meanings of the original words to see for yourself?

How could I? I'm busy defending myself against your arguments.Okay, so death or sleep, and saying the translators got it wrong, I'm just stating that , if you don't like the word dead, there's u,nless the Rapture comes first{then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them to meet the Lord in the air"a period where, whatever you personally chose to call it, certain Christians will "be in their bodies in the coffin. I thought you were denying even that.Or you just don't like my choice of words,

Ok let's see if this seeming contradiction can be straightened out. According to 2 Peter the reason for the (unbearable to me) delay in destroying the old world and creating the new one is He is not willing that any should perish but that all should repent. But if God is also infinite wisdom...
