Contradictions?In the Bible

We read thing in the Bible, then in another area of the Bible something is stated that seems to override it.Like, we read, "Believe, and you shall be saved, AND YOUR HOUSE."But we also read,"A mans enemies shall be they of his own household.,"Also, in the last days,"A father shall deliver a son up to persecution< and a son a father."{and others mentioned.} Now if we're all on the same page, why would a family members be delivering each other to persecution?Also, if anyone takes the mark of the beast they will lose all chance of salvation, yet this being in the last days it is believed that the unsaved loved ones are delivering the saved loved one to the Antichrist.Doesn't sound like someone whose whole house has been saved, does it?Also, about death, "The living are conscious that they will die, but the dead are conscious of nothing". Conscious of nothing? Then why do those who were beheaded during the Tribulation say,"How long,until You avenge our blood on those who dwell on the Earth?"If they were conscious of nothing, how would they remember what happened on Earth, and see what's happening then?Uh-huh..Or how would those in Heaven feel anything, if they went there after death?Or those in Hell feel the torment described?So what's up with these seemimgly contradictory verses in the Bible, and which do we believe if they give different messages?And complicating things more ,you listen to different pastors, and they all interpret a verse a diferent way.So..?

Stick to bibles truth and never ever believe satans lies and half truth. Yes, it is good for us to explore the original languages. Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek and all those schrolls found in Qumram which are displayed in Jerusalem. Anyway, as for me, I believe Gods word is true and that God has sent people to earth to write what He feels we should know. If there is something you do not understand, fast and pray to God Himself to give you wisdom from heaven and understanding what that verse or idea that comes from His Word.

In the meantime, not one of you has answered the questions on contradictory statements like,"the dead are conscious of nothing", followed by,"I saw the souls of those who have been beheaded {killed} for their witness, and they cried out with a loud voice,"How long, until you avenge our blood on those who dwell on the Earth?"How could they cry out with a plea if they're conscious of nothing?You can give "knee jerk responses", but it still hasn't answered my question{s}.Or "You shall be saved, and your house", followed by ,"Anyone who does not forsake father, mother, etc, is not worthy of me."And "Anyone who does not pick up his torture stake and follow Me".Why would we have to leave our familys for His sake if we're all on the same page, and everyones always has 100% of their family saved?

Pick up your cross and follow me isn't something everyone can do Steven. There are many things in the Bible that you argue with others who try to teach you that you don't agree with Steven. Did you study the Greek and Hebrew words to see how the translation came to be? You could find a nice resource at onlinebible.org that shows the original words with dictionary tools and Strong's Concordance that are very quick and easy to use. I used to bring those things with me to Church and Bible studies. I found something once that troubled me greatly that seemed to contradict another point from two gospels and after driving for 12 hours one day all my teacher said was, that's easy they are both true and immediately God showed me how they were both true.

We study the Bible to try to understand our Creator but without God giving us His understanding we won't understand. If you fully believe that God doesn't lie than ask Him for His help Steven for only God can help you my friend :)

Ok, but the fact that you said that you also used to question similar things shows that this curiosity isn't unique to me.2} Then you hear some pastors state that a certain verse means such and such, yet other pastors say they're wrong, it means something else.

I only questioned one thing but when my teacher or instructor said it was easy that both are true, God opened my eyes to see how both are true and that is exactly what I can say to you :)

Do you ever recall Christ stating that Abraham is not dead but rather alive, God is not the God of the dead but of the living etc? Remember when I said that I'm not ever going to die? There is Biblical reasons for what I say Steven. The Words of Jesus are alive my friend and they give me life and all I will ever experience is a transformation to my new body but I will not ever experience death :)

If you don't compare the original languages to how they got the translation then you are missing out on quite a lot buddy :)

IN THE BODY you could still die,not spiritually, or if the Rapture comes first-about the Rapture,"We shall not all sleep.{death} not all, meaning some will,but we shall be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye. The DEAD IN CHRIST shall rise first, then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them to meet theLord in the air.The WHO in WHAT?The DEAD IN CHRIST...no, they're not dead spiritually, if you meant you will never died spiritually you're right. However, we didn't receive our glorified bodies yet, so in our physical bodies, just like we can still sin,we can physically{not spiritually} die. Look at Billy Graham,and many other Christian pastors both now and in the past. Physically, they died. They're still conscious and in Heaven,but if you went to their funerals,you would see their bodies there.Also, THEN {meaning afterwards}we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them".

Like I stated if you don't compare the original languages to how they got the translation then you are missing out on quite a lot because our translators might have made a few mistakes and if you want God to speak directly to you then you have to double check how they came up with the translation because I will not experience death just as I understand that through Christ's righteousness I am at peace with the beasts of the field. Through Christ I will not experience death. Through Christ I know that Jesus is my light both physically as well as spiritually. I can't give you what I know Steven but I can give you how I know it. I can share some of my experiences with you but I can't make you believe. You might experience me being gone but I won't for all I will experience is my transformation and in my going to my welcome home party :)

Thank You, Praise You Lord Jesus for everything You do and everything You did for me! :)

Only God can make you believe everything that is in His original message buddy so you need to ask Jesus for His Wisdom and His Understanding :)

Did the translators get it right? Does any true believer actually experience death?

Explain their bodies laying in the coffin , then tell me I made a mistake that they physically die.2} "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." "Absent from" the body, meaning the spirit and body are separate. It doesn't mean the body just "disappeared". The person laying in the coffin, their Spirit is in Heaven, but the BODY is still in the coffin.{Until the resurrection.}

Did they actually experience the way they died? Have you ever almost died or possibly actually died for a minute or two? I have and yet I didn't feel anything at the time. I bounced off a few cars but I didn't feel anything until after I survived then I experienced the pains of this life. I was in the middle of a fuel explosion yet I didn't experience my face melting until after I survived. I choose to say what God has shown me instead of claiming the other for I believe God more than I believe myself. The translators could have used the word sleep in the case of a believer and the word death for a non believer but you wouldn't know that unless you saw it for yourself :)

Remember when Christ stated that there be some who will not taste of death until they see the Son of Man in His Glory? Does any True believer ever taste of death or did Christ die for us? God's Word is in how we perceive it and how Jesus gives us His understanding :)

Ok let's see if this seeming contradiction can be straightened out. According to 2 Peter the reason for the (unbearable to me) delay in destroying the old world and creating the new one is He is not willing that any should perish but that all should repent. But if God is also infinite wisdom...
