Continuing prayers to help me out of toxic situation

I am so beyond grateful for those who prayed for me. God is good 🙌. I do believe that I am being guided through this situation, I know I have Jesus by my side always. I know people come into our lives for a reason, and I must admit this is someone I trusted with my whole life, someone yes, I have been in a relationship with for many years, but someone now who has changed. Someone who uses words as a weapon, who makes me feel like everything is my fault, someone who unfortunately uses the name of God as a punishment, telling me that I will be dragged down to hell. I have repented, I have asked to be saved, and yet he still will make me feel like something bad might happen. He has used coercion to his advantage, that my body is his, not mine. We have children in this house, and our gas has been turned off, but he saw it as not his problem. Our cellphones have been turned off and have yet to pay that bill. It seems that when I’m not around him, I am at peace, I can be myself, I can do the things I love to do. But when he comes home, he wants to be involved in everything I’m doing, and don’t get me wrong, I would love to involve him something, but the things I do is a way to express myself. Not being selfish or anything. I know God has put him on my path, but now I realize this is not what I wanted or think I deserve this kind of relationship. He gaslights, me hurts me, and when he blames me for something, it’s me that’s making him this way, cold hearted. I would never want that, but anytime I call him out on his actions, it escalates. I need a job to support my children, I need my phone back on, we need the gas back on. I pray in the name of Jesus that something will turn out good.

We continue to lift you up before the Lord and we thank you for sharing your heart so honestly with us. We rejoice that you know Jesus is by your side always and that you have repented and asked to be saved, for it is only through His name that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. As it is written, if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9 and There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus Romans 8:1. When you have truly turned to Christ in repentance and faith, you are not dragged down to hell, you are held in His hand, and no one can use the name of God as a weapon to condemn you. That misuse of God's holy name to threaten and control you is wrong and we rebuke it in Jesus name, for the Lord does not use fear and condemnation to punish His children but convicts in love to bring restoration.

We also hear the deep pain of this toxic situation and we want to speak clearly about what you have described. The gaslighting, the blame shifting where everything is made your fault, the cold hearted treatment, the words used as weapons, and the coercion where he says your body is his and not yours, none of this reflects the love of Christ. The Word says Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it Ephesians 5:25 and Husbands, love your wives, and do not be bitter against them Colossians 3:19. Love does not coerce, it does not force, and it does not harm. Even within marriage where the Scripture says The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband, likewise also the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife 1 Corinthians 7:4, this is a mutual yielding in love, never a license for coercion or abuse. Forced intimacy is not love, it is sin, and we rebuke that control over your body.

We also must address what you have shared about your relationship. You say you have been in a relationship for many years and you have children in the house together. If you are not married, we want to lovingly but clearly say that living together and sharing intimacy outside of marriage is fornication, and it is not God's design for the family. God designed marriage to be a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman, and courtship should be with the goal of marriage to another Christian believer. If you are already married, then your husband is called to honor that covenant by protecting and providing for you and your children, not neglecting the gas bill and the phone bill and leaving you and the children without basic needs. If you are not married, we encourage you not to simply continue as partners but to seek God's will for either a godly marriage that honors Him or a godly separation, because God desires holiness and safety for you and your children. In either case, the neglect and financial abandonment you describe is not taking responsibility as God commands.

We notice you said you feel at peace when he is not around, you can be yourself and express the gifts God has given you, but when he comes home you feel controlled and unable to be who God created you to be. That contrast is important. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7. The Lord is near to those who are brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18. You are not selfish for needing room to express yourself in healthy ways, and you do not deserve to be hurt and blamed for his coldness. God does not put someone on your path to abuse you, though He can guide you through a hard season to show you what is not His will for your life. We pray you will have wisdom to see this clearly.

We are also concerned for your safety and for your children. The fact that the gas has been turned off and the phones have been turned off with children in the home, and that you feel hurt and coerced, tells us you need practical help and protection right now. We urge you to reach out to a trusted pastor or godly older woman in your church, to safe family members, and to local resources that help mothers and children in abusive or neglectful situations. Do not walk through this alone. The Lord is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1. If you are ever in immediate danger, please seek help from safe authorities right away.

We join our faith with yours for provision, for a job to support your children, for the gas and the phone to be restored, and for a way out of this toxic pattern. Our God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19. We pray for wisdom as you seek work and we trust God will open doors.

We pray together now for you.

Father, in the name of Jesus we bring our sister before Your throne of grace. We thank You that she knows You and has called upon the name of Jesus to be saved. We ask You to assure her heart that she is forgiven, cleansed, and held securely in Your love with no condemnation. We ask You to rebuke every lie spoken over her that she will be dragged to hell, and to silence every weapon of words and gaslighting used against her. Lord, protect her and her children, provide a safe place and safe people around them, and make a way where there seems to be no way for the gas to be restored, for the phone to be turned back on, and for a good job to provide for her family. Grant her wisdom as You have promised If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5. Give her clarity to set healthy and biblical boundaries, to seek godly counsel, and to take steps toward safety and healing. Convict this man of his harshness, coercion, and misuse of Your name, and bring him to true repentance if he will turn, but above all guard her and the children from further harm. Let her feel Your peace that surpasses understanding guarding her heart and mind in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7, and let her know that You are guiding her step by step out of this darkness into Your light. We ask You to restore what has been broken and to lead her into the godly, loving future You desire for her, whether that is the healing of a marriage that honors You or the courage to walk in obedience and safety apart from this relationship. We trust that You are good and that You are working all things together for good for those who love You Romans 8:28. In the mighty and merciful name of Jesus we pray, amen.

We are so glad you reached out, and we want to hold your safety and your children's safety first with care. If you are in immediate danger, please contact your local emergency services right now. For free, confidential support, you can find a helpline in your country (about 130 countries) at findahelpline.com. You are not alone and trained people are ready to help right now.

Thank you for telling us so honestly what you have been carrying. It makes sense that you feel peace when you have space to be yourself, and heavy dread when he comes home and takes over everything you do. Wanting room to express yourself is not selfish. Being told you will be dragged to hell, that your body is not your own, that everything is your fault, and then being blamed when you name what is happening is a heavy burden to carry, especially with children in the home and basic needs like gas and phone service unmet.

We hear how much you want stability, a job to support your children, and utilities restored. You deserve to be safe and to make decisions freely, and your children need that safety too.

When it is possible, it can help to talk with one safe, trusted person or advocate in your area who understands domestic abuse and can help you think through options for safety, housing, utilities assistance, and employment resources. If you have important papers, keep copies with someone you trust, and consider reaching out to a local support service alongside prayer, not instead of it.

Father, we lift this dear mom and her children to You. Surround them with protection, give her clear wisdom for each next decision, and provide for their daily needs for work, communication, and a warm home. Bring safe people around her and quiet her heart with Your presence. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your words have been heard with sorrow and with thankfulness, sorrow for the affliction you bear and thankfulness that you have turned to the Lord who alone can save and heal. You speak of being grateful and of knowing that Jesus is by your side, and this is the true ground of hope. Faith must look for salvation only from the Lord and then salvation will come to it. He will save you when you take Him to be your King and your Lawgiver and trust Him for yourself.

There is a great ill you describe, a broken heart wounded by words used as weapons, by blame and coldness, by coercion and by the misuse of the holy name of God to make you fear hell. Hear this truth and let it break that arrow in pieces. Although part of Satan's speech is quoted from the Scriptures, that arrow never came out of God's quiver. That quotation has no reference to one who sincerely repents of sin and comes to God seeking mercy for Jesus sake. You have repented and asked to be saved, and the Word declares that Christ has come to cover sin, to atone for it and so to hide it. His glorious merits and substitutionary sufferings have put away sin so completely that God Himself beholds it no more, and everything that can be brought as an accusation against His people is sealed up and put out of the way, never to be opened and laid to their charge. Who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect. If you are in Christ, no man has power to drag you down to hell, for the Lord shall preserve you from all evil, He shall preserve your soul, and that Evil One touches you not.

God's ways are ways of love and tenderness, not of coercion and gaslighting and claiming power over your body. The Scripture teaches that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that living together and the union of the body belong only within that covenant. A relationship that claims your body as its own outside that holy bond, and that wounds you and your children, does not reflect the will of God and is not to be celebrated or asked to be blessed as it is. What is needed is repentance and faith toward Christ for both souls, and a turning to walk in His holy way. We urge you to seek godly and wise pastoral counsel at once, to bring your situation into the light before faithful ministers who can deal truthfully and tenderly with you according to the Word.

You also describe that when you are not around him you are at peace and can be yourself, but when he comes home you are made to feel that everything is your fault and you are kept in fear. This is not the peace which Christ gives, and it is right to recognize the danger to you and to your children. For the Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in, and He healeth the broken in heart. To be preserved from evil sometimes means to be delivered from destruction. We entreat you not to bear this alone. For the sake of your children and yourself, seek help from a trusted pastor, from faithful family, and where there is coercion and harm and the withholding of necessities such as heat, seek also the proper help of those appointed for protection. You are not selfish to desire safety and a quiet place to express what God has given you. God would have truth in the inward parts and a will cheerfully surrendered to Him, not crushed by the cruelty of another.

We will pray with you for what you have asked in the name of Jesus. We pray that He who sent His Word and healed them and delivered them from their destructions will heal and pardon you together, for healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction and both bestowed on the Lord's people. We pray that the Lord will provide work for your hands to support your children, that He will open the way for your gas to be restored and your phone to be restored, and that He will gather you out of this distress and lead you in a plain path. Cry from your very soul, God be merciful to me a sinner, and God will hear you and have mercy upon you, for everyone that asks receives and he that seeks finds.

May the Lord give you wisdom to take the next faithful step, to seek safe counsel and practical help without delay, to keep yourself and your children under His preserving care, and to rest your whole hope upon Christ who lived for sinners and died for sinners and is now an Advocate for you. We will continue to pray that you may be kept in purity and uprightness and delivered from all the devices of the evil one, and that you may yet declare with rejoicing the wonderful works of the Lord.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer has been heard and I thank you for trusting us with it. I am grateful you have reached out and that you know Jesus is by your side. God is good and He hears you when you call on Him, and He sees you and your children in this hard situation.

What you describe is not the love and protection God intends for a home. Using words as a weapon, gaslighting, blaming you for his actions, hurting you, and claiming that your body is his and not yours is wrong. It is also wrong to use the name of God to threaten you or to tell you that you will be dragged down to hell. God does not speak that way to His children. He gathers His people as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings to protect and care for them, not to frighten and control them. When you say you are at peace when you are away from him and able to be yourself, that peace matters. A home should be a place of safety, not fear that things will escalate when you speak up.

I rejoice to hear that you have repented and asked to be saved. Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and when we turn to Him in repentance and faith He receives us. Your past is not held against you when you are in Christ. The threats that something bad will happen because he says so are not the voice of God. God is your Father and He guards those who fear Him. As Scripture teaches, when children are brought up in faith and the fear of God, He protects them better than any earthly father can. That promise is for you and for your children.

God’s design for intimacy and for living together is within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. Sex and sharing a home in that way belong within that covenant, and that covenant is meant to reflect Christ’s faithful love, not coercion, coldness or control. I do not affirm or ask God to bless a relationship that lives outside that design or that harms you, but I do pray for you to have clarity, safety and wisdom to walk in God’s way. You are right to see that this is not what you want or what is good for you and your children.

I also hear your practical needs and they are urgent. Having no gas in the house with children, having phones turned off, and needing a job to support your family are heavy burdens. God cares about these needs. I pray that He will provide work for you, that the gas and phone can be restored, and that you will have steady provision. Scripture reminds us that God gives each of us abilities to help one another, whether through protection, money, teaching or practical help, and that we are to live for the good of our neighbor. You should not carry this alone. Please reach out soon to a trusted pastor, a safe family member or friend, and to local help in your area who can come alongside you for protection and practical support. If you or your children are in danger, please seek safety right away and let people near you know what is happening so they can help you make a safe plan.

I will pray for you now. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ I come to You for this dear mother and her children. Thank You that she has turned to You and that You save all who call on Jesus. Cover her and her children under Your wings and give them safety and peace. Provide for their daily needs, open a door for work, and make a way for the gas and phone to be restored. Give her wisdom, courage and supportive people around her who will offer real protection and help. Heal the hurt that has been done, quiet the lies that have been spoken over her, and help her to walk in Your truth and love. Guard her children and help her to raise them in faith and in the fear of You. Lead her step by step out of this toxic situation and into stability and hope. Amen.

You are not alone and you are not at fault for his choices. Please keep reaching out to safe, godly people near you and let them know the details of what you face so they can help you and your children with both spiritual and practical care. We will continue to pray for you.
