Continued Prayers for ###

Tribe of Judah

Disciple of Prayer
I'm continuing to ask for prayers for ###. In my previous prayers, I mentioned him seeing someone who is not a Godly Christian, hidden relationship in church, she posts things like "Dance like David of whatever". As a Israeli myself, the Spiritual meaning of David dancing before God is a humbled move and a very spiritual meaning and power as David dance before God filled with the Holy Spirit. She was at a Christian event in ### and she appears to be mocking David's dance because one of her female friends was dancing weirdly. This girl, ### is a replica of ###'s ex wife, as though he is repeating the same cycle hoping for a different result. I care about ### a lot. When I see him worship God, it makes me want to get to know him more, but I fear ### is separating him from God. ### is a divorced guy, and does have a criminal record, and it appears that ### is taking advantage of his vulnerability. ### is a ### year sobriety, but she back slit the beginning of this year. She posts on social media that her and ### are meant to be, and that nothing can separate them. ### will destroy ### and I worry for his soul. He has a lot of love to give and my desire for him is to fall in love with God, and clean his heart of any past pains and to walk away from ### once and for all. She has fooled people at church, acting "holier than thou", when she isn't. A Godly relationship should never be hidden and she treats him less than. The leaders of the church are falling for her fake Christian persona. I pray that ###'s eyes see it, and that God would send Godly council his way to part ways with ### once and for all. He deserves to be treated with respect and with God's love, not taken advantage of. He needs to surrounded by Godly men. One of this friends said some not so good things about me because of my housing situation, so it but a damper between us. I wrote ### an encouraging message to chase after God's own heart like King David did, and he will know his identity in Jesus Christ as he chasing Him. I have not heard from ###, so I pray my message lands on a good heart. In Jesus Christ mighty mighty name AMEN and AMEN!!

We hear your deep concern and the burden you carry for this brother in Christ. Your love for him is evident, and we join you in praying for his protection, discernment, and deliverance from this ungodly influence. The situation you describe is heartbreaking, seeing someone you care for entangled in a relationship that dishonors God, especially when it is hidden and manipulative. Scripture warns us clearly about such dangers: "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14). This woman’s behavior, mocking the things of God, presenting a false spiritual facade, and leading him away from godly counsel, is a snare of the enemy.

We must also address the seriousness of hidden relationships within the church. Jesus said, "For there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed, nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light" (Luke 8:17). The fact that this relationship is concealed speaks volumes about its lack of godliness. A relationship built on Christ should be open, accountable, and pursued with purity, not shrouded in secrecy. The way she treats him with disrespect is also a red flag; a godly woman would honor him as a brother in Christ, not take advantage of his vulnerabilities. "Let no one despise your youth; but be an example to those who believe, in word, in your way of life, in love, in spirit, in faith, and in purity" (1 Timothy 4:12). This applies to all believers, especially those in positions of influence.

We also rebuke the spirit of deception that has infiltrated the church leadership in this situation. It is grievous when those in authority are deceived by a false "holier than thou" persona. "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves" (Matthew 7:15). We pray that the eyes of the leaders would be opened to the truth and that they would hold this woman accountable for her actions.

Your concern about his soul is valid. A man with a criminal past and a history of divorce needs godly men around him, not someone who exploits his weaknesses. "Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another" (Proverbs 27:17). We pray that God would surround him with men of integrity who will speak truth into his life and help him walk in repentance and restoration. The friend who spoke ill of you because of your housing situation is also in need of prayer; we ask that God would soften his heart and help him see the error of his ways.

We are encouraged by your boldness in sending him a message about chasing after God’s own heart like David. Your words were rooted in Scripture, and we pray they take deep root in his spirit. "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me" (Psalm 51:10). May he respond to the conviction of the Holy Spirit and turn away from this toxic relationship once and for all.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this brother to You. Lord, we ask that You would open his eyes to the deception that has ensnared him. Break the chains of this ungodly relationship, Father, and set him free by the power of Your Holy Spirit. We rebuke the spirit of manipulation and falsehood that has taken root in this situation, and we declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

Lord, we pray for godly men to surround him, men who will speak truth, hold him accountable, and walk with him in his journey of faith. Heal the wounds of his past, Father, and cleanse his heart from all unrighteousness. Let him know his true identity in Christ Jesus, that he is a new creation, redeemed and set apart for Your glory (2 Corinthians 5:17).

We also pray for the leaders of his church, Lord. Give them discernment to see through the deception and wisdom to address this situation with love and truth. Expose the lies, Father, and let Your light shine in the darkness.

We thank You for the love and concern shown by our sister in Christ. May her words continue to bear fruit in his life, and may he respond to Your call to chase after You with all his heart. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue standing in the gap for him, trusting that God is at work even when you cannot see it. "Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ" (Philippians 1:6). Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). Keep praying, keep loving, and keep trusting God to move in his life.

We hear how heavy this has been to carry, and how much you care for ### and want to see him walk closely with God.

Your insight as an Israeli about David dancing before the Lord is beautiful, that humbled, Spirit-filled worship you described, and we understand why it hurt to see that mocked. It makes sense you feel torn between admiring his worship and worrying about the influences around him.

We appreciate your heart to encourage him toward God and to want him surrounded by godly men who can speak wisdom to him. At the same time, you cannot make his choices for him, and watching his social media so closely will only keep your heart stirred up. One steady step we have seen help in situations like this is to step back from checking those posts, keep praying faithfully, and let God work in His timing. You sent an encouraging, Christ-centered message, that was a good and kind thing to do, and now giving him space to respond, or not, is part of trusting God with it.

It also hurt to have his friend speak unkindly about your housing situation. We are praying God gives you peace there as well and reminds you your worth is secure in Him.

Father, we lift ### to You, asking for Your protection over his sobriety and his heart, for healing from past pain, for clear wisdom and for godly counsel around him. We lift our friend praying for him too, for comfort, for steadiness, and for trust in You while she waits. Guide them both closer to Jesus, in His name we pray, amen.

Your continued burden has been heard and we join you in carrying it to the throne of grace, where Jesus ever lives to plead for His people and where the fear of the Lord becomes a strong confidence and a place of refuge.

We share your concern for ### and we commend your desire to see him fall more deeply in love with Christ, to know his identity in Jesus, and to have his heart cleansed from past pains. That is a holy and right desire. A walk with God must be whole hearted, not divided, for we cannot rightly say in one part of life I will be a Christian and in another I will be as the world is. The Lord calls His people to walk in the light, and a relationship that must be hidden, that is marked by pretense or by treating another as less than one who is made in Gods image, does not bear the marks of that godly sincerity which is wrought by the Spirit. The fungus forced by artificial heat is a far different thing from the rosy fruit of a healthy tree, and the unreal devotions of the unspiritual differ widely from the deep inward groanings of renewed hearts. We pray that the Lord will give discernment to see what is real and what is not, for never is a false thing told but its flaw may be detected by those who walk closely with God.

We do not ask God to bless what is not according to His Word. We ask Him to deliver. The Scripture says, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, I have found a ransom. There is a ransom found in the blood of Jesus Christ, the Kings own Son who has borne the penalty for sinners. We pray that ### may know that deliverance not only from the guilt of sin but from the power of darkness itself, for deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. We must look to our heavenly Father altogether and alone for it. We pray that God would graciously deliver ### from every entanglement that would draw him away from Christ, from repeating old cycles that bring only sorrow, from evil company and from his own corruptions that so easily beset us, and that He would set his feet upon the Rock.

We pray also for the woman of whom you speak, that if she does not know Christ indeed, she may be brought to true repentance and faith in Him alone for salvation, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. And we pray for the leaders and people of the church, that God would give them wisdom to judge with righteous judgment, to hedge the house of God with prayer, and to speak the truth in love. We pray that God would surround ### with godly men who will walk beside him, counsel him faithfully from the Word, and hold him accountable to pursue purity, sobriety and holiness. Sex and living together belong within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman, and any path outside of that is not for the good of souls. We pray that ### would be kept hour by hour by constant grace, whether in temptation or in trial, and that he would learn the mischief that comes from loving the world and be enabled to say, He has delivered us from the power of darkness.

We mark your own trial in this matter, the discouraging word spoken about your housing situation and the silence that has followed your encouraging message to chase after Gods own heart as David did. Do not let your heart be overmuch cast down. Our afflictions, though they may come through the unkindness of others, are yet in the hand of our Father who sits as a Refiner by the furnace. He fills both the bitter cup and the sweet goblet, and what He sends as chastening comes from a fathers hand for our profit. The Lord has chastened us sorely but He has not given us over unto death. Continue in importunate prayer. Will you take a denial from God, you shall have it, but if you will not be denied, neither shall you. The importunate Christian is he whom God loves. Your labour to point ### to Christ and to His Word is not in vain in the Lord.

Let us pray together. O gracious Father, Thou hast taught us that the fear of Thee drives us not from Thee but to Thee as our refuge. We bring ### before Thee. Thou knowest his history, his divorce, his record, his long sobriety and his vulnerability. Have mercy upon him and keep back his soul from the Pit. Let him hear the almighty pleas of Jesus for him and find strong confidence there. Deliver him from the power of darkness and translate him more fully into the kingdom of Thy dear Son. Give him a humbled heart like David, dancing before Thee in holiness and not in mockery, filled with Thy Spirit. Send godly counsel to him and give him grace to receive it, to walk away from every hidden and unholy way and to pursue Thee with a clean heart. Provide for our dear friend who prays, supply her needs in housing and in spirit, guard her from envy and discontent, and let her message find good ground. Keep us all hour by hour by Thy grace, that we may live and declare the works of the Lord. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ our only Saviour we ask it, Amen.
