Please pray in Jesus name for continued victory with the intrusive thoughts and OCD as I go through this my love for the church is growing. Thanks to you all

We rejoice with you and give thanks to God for the continued victory He is giving you over intrusive thoughts and OCD, and for how He is causing your love for the church to grow. This is evidence of His grace at work in you and we praise Him together for it.

We know how distressing and exhausting intrusive thoughts can be, but we are reminded that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7. The battle is often in the mind, and God calls us to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ 2 Corinthians 10:5 and to be transformed by the renewing of our minds Romans 12:2. He promises perfect peace to those whose minds are steadfast because they trust in Him Isaiah 26:3.

We also rejoice that your love for the church is growing, for this is the family of God and the body of Christ. We are exhorted not to forsake our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but to exhort one another Hebrews 10:25, and it is beautiful to see the Lord knitting your heart more deeply to His people. Continue to press into fellowship, into the Word, and into prayer, for there we find encouragement, accountability, and the reminder that we are not alone in our struggles.

We pray together for you now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace and we thank You for our brother or sister and for the victory You have already given. We thank You that You see every thought, every struggle, and every moment of anxiety, and that You are compassionate and mighty to deliver. We ask for continued victory over every intrusive thought and every pattern of OCD. Guard this dear one's heart and mind with Your peace which surpasses all understanding Philippians 4:6-7. Help them to take every thought captive to Christ, to reject what is not from You, and to dwell on whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good report Philippians 4:8. Renew their mind daily by Your Word and by Your Holy Spirit, and remind them that they are not defined by these thoughts but are a new creation in Christ, loved, forgiven, and held secure in Your hand. Strengthen their love for Your church, deepen their roots in fellowship, and use them to be a blessing to the body as they are being blessed. When fear or unwanted thoughts return, let them quickly turn to You in prayer and find rest in Your presence. We ask for sustained freedom, growing joy, and steadfast hope. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to keep walking closely with the Lord, to stay in the Scriptures daily, to pray continually even with short prayers throughout the day when thoughts arise, and to remain connected to the church where you can share honestly and receive prayer and support. God is faithful and He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ Philippians 1:6. We stand with you for continued freedom and peace.

Me too! I had really bad OCD at one point where I thought everyone could read my thoughts all day long every day! It was crazy!

Now I have thoughts about 'if i do this then this will happen!' so I am praying for myself as well

Lord, please remove OCD from our lives and anyone else who is struggling with this bad condition, in Jesus name amen

We're thankful you came back to update us. It is encouraging to hear about the victory you've been experiencing and that your love for the church is growing even in the middle of this struggle. We are glad to keep standing with you in prayer.

We know intrusive thoughts can be wearying. They often feel persistent and unwanted, and it makes sense they would stir up anxiety even when they don't reflect your heart or what you want. Please don't hear that struggle as a measure of your faith. Growth often happens step by step, and staying connected to the church the way you are is a good place to keep receiving encouragement and grounding.

If you haven't already, it may help to share openly with a trusted pastor or counselor in your church about what you're experiencing, so someone who knows you can walk with you week to week. And alongside prayer, we gently encourage you to reach out to a counselor or medical professional for support with what you're describing if that would be helpful. You don't have to sort through this alone.

Father, thank you for the work you are doing in our friend's life and for the growing love for your church you have given. We ask for your continued peace, for clarity when intrusive thoughts come, and for steady strength for each day. Draw them closer to you and surround them with supportive community. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Its a challenge among challenges

We have heard your request with thanksgiving and we join you in prayer to our Lord Jesus Christ for continued victory.

We rejoice to hear that even as you pass through this trial your love for the church is growing. This is a sure token of the grace of God at work within you, for He who draws us to Christ draws us also to His people. May that love deepen still, as you are kept near to Him.

You speak of intrusive thoughts and the burden of OCD, and the multitude of thoughts within. Do not wonder that such thoughts assail you. Intruding thoughts surround us like a plague of flies, they are here, there, and everywhere, and it costs infinite pains to drive them away. Even when we would offer our hearts to God, ravenous birds will come down upon the sacrifice. In this our weakness is complete, and therefore we have need that God Himself should prepare our hearts.

Remember what is written, For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts. Your thoughts in this struggle may be tumultuous and distressing, but His thoughts concerning you are constant, kind, wise, tender and gracious. How precious also are Your thoughts unto me, O God, how great is the sum of them. When the multitude of thoughts within you rises, hear His word again, In the multitude of my thoughts within me Your comforts delight my soul. His comforts are equal to your multitude.

And here is your war cry and your hope, that Jesus wins the victory, but He will not enjoy it alone, He will glorify His people. Because He poured out His soul unto death, Satan's power is broken and the Seed of the woman shall trample on the serpent. It was by the mighty power of the Holy Spirit dwelling in Him that Jesus overcame the world, and that same quiet power, if it dwells in us, will make us win the same victory by faith. When Jesus Christ the Head of the Church was victorious over the foe, every member of His mystical Body, even the most uncomely, was virtually a conqueror in the conquering Head. So you are more than conqueror through Him that loved you. Your victory is not wrought by the strength of your own mind, but by His finished work.

Therefore cultivate with us those thoughts which bear good fruit. Cultivate thankful thoughts, for the fruit of thankful thoughts will be summer in your soul even when it is winter outside. Get many and abundant believing thoughts, laying hold on God's thoughts by faith rather than your own. And seek to have many longing thoughts after Christ, let Him have the best thoughts, the cream of them, the first growth of your spirit. When intrusive thoughts come, bring them at once to Him in lowliness of heart, for low thoughts of ourselves are the companions of prevailing prayers, and He who has had love enough to prepare your heart to pray has grace enough to give you the blessing.

We pray for you now.

O Lord our God, we thank You for this soul whom You have loved with an everlasting love and for the work You have begun in giving a growing love for Your church. Look in mercy upon Your servant who is much tried with intrusive thoughts. Let Your precious thoughts be his comfort and Your higher ways be his confidence. By Your Holy Spirit dwelling within, grant continued victory through Jesus Christ who has overcome the world. When thoughts assail, delight his soul with Your comforts, keep him when he awakes still with You, and cause him to stand fast as one who shares in the triumph of his Head. Keep him, sanctify him, and present him faultless in Christ. In the name of Jesus our only Saviour we ask it, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
