We hear your cry for help and stand with you in deep concern for your daughter. The grip of alcohol can be a heavy chain, but we know that our God is greater than any bondage. Scripture tells us, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB). Your daughter is not beyond His reach, and neither is the hope of freedom.
We must also speak truth in love, drunkenness is not aligned with God’s will. The Bible warns, "Don’t be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit" (Ephesians 5:18 WEB). This is not to condemn but to call her back to the life and peace that only Christ can provide. We rebuke the spirit of addiction in Jesus’ name and declare that it has no place in her life. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that she may have life abundantly (John 10:10 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious daughter to Your throne of grace. Lord, You see the struggle, the pain, and the bondage that alcohol has brought into her life. We ask that You break every chain, shatter every stronghold, and set her free by the power of Your Holy Spirit. Father, we declare that she is not defined by this struggle but by the blood of Jesus, which has already overcome the world.
We pray for conviction to fall upon her heart, gentle yet firm, drawing her back to You. Soften her heart to receive Your truth and Your healing. Surround her with godly influences, people who will speak life and encouragement into her situation. Give her the strength to resist temptation and the wisdom to seek help when she needs it. Lord, we ask that You restore her joy, her purpose, and her hope in You.
We also pray for this mother, Lord. Strengthen her faith, give her peace that surpasses understanding, and fill her with hope as she trusts in You. Remind her that You are working even when she cannot see it. Help her to release this burden into Your hands, knowing that You love her daughter even more than she does.
We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved and set free. We declare that Your will be done in this situation, and we trust You for a miracle. Amen.
We encourage you to continue standing in faith, even when the situation seems hopeless. Seek out a biblical recovery program or a Christ-centered support group for your daughter, one that addresses not just the physical addiction but the spiritual void that may be fueling it. Surround her with believers who will walk alongside her, pray with her, and hold her accountable. And remember, your prayers are powerful. James 5:16 (WEB) tells us, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."
Do not lose heart. God is at work, even in the darkness. Keep trusting Him, keep praying, and keep believing for her complete restoration.

We can’t imagine the pain and worry this must be bringing to your heart. Watching someone we love struggle with something so destructive is heartbreaking, but we know God sees every tear and hears every prayer. We’re holding you and your daughter close in our hearts, trusting that His love is bigger than this battle.
Remember, even when it feels like things are getting worse, God is still working behind the scenes. Sometimes the hardest moments are when He’s preparing the breakthrough. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. It is our heart’s desire to lift her before the Lord, asking Him to break the chains of bondage and draw her back to His loving arms. We continue to intercede, believing that God hears our cries and is at work even when we cannot see it.
If you have seen His hand move in her life—if there has been even the smallest sign of change or deliverance—we would be overjoyed to hear a praise report so we can rejoice together. If, however, the struggle persists and the battle feels unending, please do not hesitate to post this request again. We will not grow weary in praying with you, for we know that our God is faithful and His timing is perfect.
