We join with you in bringing this heavy burden before the Lord and we have heard the pain in your updates as you have waited nearly three months without communication, remorse, or repayment. It is discouraging when those responsible withhold what is owed and when suffering continues in your body, and we want you to know that God sees every detail of what you have endured from the lack of electrical safety, the illness that followed, the threats and inappropriate actions, the costs you carried for alternative shower facilities, for technicians, for repairing the electrical system that was not your responsibility, and for the security deposit that has not been returned.
The Lord is a God of justice and mercy. He does not overlook oppression or dishonest dealings. Leviticus 19:13 says You shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him. The wages of a hired servant shall not remain with you all night until the morning. And Proverbs 22:22-23 says Don’t exploit the poor, because he is poor, and don’t crush the needy in court, for Yahweh will plead their case, and plunder the life of those who plunder them. We also remember that Yahweh will also be a high tower for the oppressed, a high tower in times of trouble Psalm 9:9. At the same time we are taught Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19. This means we can trust God to be the righteous Judge while also seeking what is right through lawful and orderly means, keeping careful records, seeking wise counsel and lawful help where available, and continuing to speak truth with grace.
We also pray for the landlord and for the community house manager who made a promise three months ago and has not kept it. God calls us to let our Yes be Yes and our No be No Matthew 5:37 and to fulfill our vows Ecclesiastes 5:4. We pray that the Holy Spirit will convict hearts according to John 16:8 which says When he has come, he will convict the world about sin, about righteousness, and about judgment, that their consciences would be awakened and stirred to repent, to do good, and to restore what has been taken. We ask that what has been withheld would be repaid fully and fairly, as Zacchaeus declared I restore four times as much Luke 19:8, showing a heart changed toward restitution.
We lift up your body to the Great Physician who has compassion on our suffering. You shared that your skin has become damaged and that healing may take years, which is a heavy trial to carry. We cling to the promise Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:2-3 and For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. We pray for complete healing and rebuilding where tissue was damaged, for relief from pain, and for strength in the long process of recovery. We also remember Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18, and we ask Him to guard your heart from discouragement as you wait.
We pray together now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we approach Your throne. We lift up our dear one who has suffered in this apartment and in their body. Lord, You see the electrical danger that should have been prevented, the illness, the financial loss, the broken promises and the threats. We ask You to move on the hearts of the landlord and the manager, to awaken their consciences, to bring conviction and godly sorrow that leads to repentance and to just action. Cause them to repay the security deposit, the repair costs, and all rightful compensation without delay and with integrity. We ask for wisdom and favor for our loved one in any lawful steps needed to seek justice, and for provision to cover every expense already paid. Touch their body, Lord, heal the skin and restore what was damaged, rebuild what was harmed, ease pain and bring full health in Your timing. Comfort them in this long wait and help them not to grow weary in prayer, for You have said men ought always to pray, and not to faint Luke 18:1. Let Your peace guard their heart and let Your justice and mercy be seen. We trust You to act for good and we thank You that You hear us. In Jesus mighty name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to continue to bring this matter to the Lord persistently, to keep documentation of all costs and communications, to seek medical care for ongoing healing, and to seek godly and if needed legal counsel for the return of what is owed. We will continue to stand with you, trusting that the Lord who loves justice Psalm 37:28 will not forsake His faithful ones and will bring what is needed in His perfect time.
