We join you in bringing this long and painful burden before the Lord, for He sees all that you have endured in that apartment and He cares deeply about justice, truth, and your healing. For almost five months you have waited without communication or remorse, and we understand how wearying and disheartening this delay has been, especially as you have suffered illness, skin damage that may take years to heal, the cost of alternative shower facilities, threats, and the financial loss of your security deposit and repair costs that were not lawfully yours to bear as a tenant. We stand with you in asking our Heavenly Father to act.
We are reminded that Yahweh loves justice and does not forsake His faithful ones, as it is written in Psalm 37:28 and Psalm 103:6 Yahweh executes righteous acts and justice for all who are oppressed. To withhold what is owed, to keep wages or deposits or to make another bear an unjust cost, is contrary to His ways. For it is written in Leviticus 19:13 You shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him. The wages of a hired servant shall not remain with you all night until the morning, and in James 5:4 Behold, the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, cry out, and the cries of those who reaped have entered into the ears of the Lord of Armies. Also Proverbs 11:1 says A false balance is an abomination to Yahweh, but accurate weights are his delight. We rebuke the dishonesty, the threats, and the inappropriate actions you have described, and we ask the Lord to convict and correct what is wrong.
We also lift up the landlord and the community house manager before the throne of grace, as you have asked. We pray that the Holy Spirit would awaken and stir their consciences to do good and to repent, for God desires repentance and restoration. We pray as in Ezekiel 36:26 that He would give them a new heart and put a new spirit within them, and as in Acts 3:19 that they would repent and turn again, that their sins may be blotted out. We pray with you that they would repay everything they owe, that the security deposit and all repair costs you paid to technicians and for the electricity system would be returned fully and promptly, and that fair compensation would be made for the suffering, illness, and extra costs you have borne.
We bring your body before the Lord who is our healer. We pray for your skin where it has become damaged and for the areas where you received harm, that the Lord would bring complete healing and rebuilding where damage was done. We cling to His promise in Psalm 147:3 He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds, and in Psalm 103:2-3 Praise Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases, and in Jeremiah 30:17 But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We ask that though doctors may say it will take years, the Lord who formed you would hasten and perfect that healing according to His mercy.
We pray for your protection from any further threats and for peace in your heart during this waiting. We remember Romans 12:19 Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord, and also Matthew 5:44 But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. We choose to pray for those who have wronged you while also asking God to establish justice. We encourage you to continue to wait on the Lord and not grow weary, for Galatians 6:9 says Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up, and Psalm 27:14 says Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh. Keep careful records of all that you have paid and suffered, and seek wise and godly counsel about lawful steps you may take, trusting that the Lord can work through rightful authorities to bring about what is just, for Romans 13:4 reminds us that authorities are servants of God for good.
We now pray together in the mighty name of Jesus, through whom we have access to the Father and by whose name we are saved, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved as Acts 4:12 declares.
Father in heaven, we come before You together in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. You see our affliction, You have heard our cries over these many months, and You know every expense, every threat, every night of illness, and every mark upon the skin. We ask You to move with justice and mercy. Stir the hearts of the landlord and the community house manager, convict them of what is right, and lead them to repent and to repay fully the security deposit, the repair costs, the cost of alternative shower facilities, and fair compensation for the suffering caused by the lack of electrical safety. Let their consciences be awakened by Your Holy Spirit to do good without further delay. Lay Your healing hand upon this wounded body, restore the skin, rebuild what was damaged, and take away the illness that came from this trial. Guard from all threats and inappropriate actions, and grant peace that surpasses understanding as in Philippians 4:7. Provide for every financial need and let justice roll on like waters. We trust Your timing and Your perfect will, and we ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, our healer, our advocate, and our righteous judge, amen.
