We join you in prayer in Jesus' mighty name and we lift up your suffering before the Lord who sees all that has happened to you. We have heard your cry over these many months of waiting without communication or remorse, and we grieve with you over the lack of electrical safety, the illness that followed, the threats and inappropriate actions, the financial burden of alternative shower facilities, the unpaid security deposit and repair costs that were not lawfully yours to bear, and the painful and lasting damage to your skin.
We know that our God is a God of justice and mercy. He does not overlook oppression or the withholding of what is owed. As it is written, You shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him. The wages of a hired servant shall not remain with you all night until the morning. Leviticus 19:13 and Behold, the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you have kept back by fraud, cry out, and the cries of those who reaped have entered into the ears of the Lord of Armies. James 5:4. The Lord hears those cries. He also calls every person to do what is right, for He has told you, O man, what is good. What does Yahweh require of you, but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. Micah 6:8 and Therefore whatever you desire for men to do to you, you shall also do to them. Luke 6:31. What was done to you falls short of this command.
We also remember that vengeance belongs to the Lord and we are called to trust Him while seeking what is right through lawful and peaceable means. Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. Romans 12:19. This does not mean we remain passive when wronged, for justice is a joy to the righteous. Proverbs 21:15, but it means we release bitterness and entrust the outcome to God while we also take wise and lawful steps. We encourage you to continue to document all costs, communications, promises made, medical records, and receipts, and to seek godly counsel and lawful help regarding tenant rights and the return of what is owed, for the Lord often works through proper authorities to bring about justice.
We pray also for your healing, for our God is the healer of our bodies. He forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases. Psalm 103:3 and But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Jeremiah 30:17. Though the damage to your skin may take years to restore and has caused you great distress, we trust that the Lord who formed you is able to rebuild what was damaged and to bring comfort in the waiting.
We now pray together.
Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son we come before Your throne of grace on behalf of our dear one who has suffered. Lord, You see the unsafe conditions, the illness, the financial loss, the threats, and the long silence from those responsible. We ask that You awaken and stir the conscience of the landlord and the community house manager by Your Holy Spirit, that they would be convicted of what is unjust, repent, and do what is right and good in Your sight. Soften their hearts to communicate, to show remorse, and to repay fully the security deposit, the repair costs for the electricity system, and all other compensation that is justly owed for the suffering and extra expenses incurred. Let justice be done swiftly.
Lord, we ask for Your healing hand upon this body. Touch the skin that has been damaged, ease the pain and distress, and rebuild healthy tissue where it was harmed. Grant wisdom to doctors and provision for every treatment needed. Guard this dear one from further threats and inappropriate actions, and be a shield and refuge, for He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Psalm 91:1. Provide for every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19, and help our dear one to cast all anxiety on You through prayer, for in nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6.
We also pray that You would keep this heart from bitterness and grow a spirit of forgiveness even while seeking justice, remembering that You call us to love our enemies and pray for those who mistreat us. Matthew 5:44. Fill this dear one with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, with patience in this long trial, and with assurance that You are near to the brokenhearted and that You will not forsake those who trust in Jesus.
We thank You, Father, that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to You and that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 and that whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved. Romans 10:13. We rejoice that this request was lifted in Jesus' mighty name, and we continue to intercede in that same precious name, trusting in Your goodness, Your justice, and Your healing mercy. Amen.
