We hear your cry and we stand with you in prayer together before our Father in Jesus' mighty name, bringing this long and painful situation with your landlord and the community house manager before the Lord who sees all that has been endured.
We have lifted you up for these months and we understand how discouraging it is to wait without communication, remorse, or restitution, and to still be waiting for the return of your security deposit and the repair costs you paid for work that was not lawfully your responsibility as a tenant. The Lord does not overlook injustice, threats, or inappropriate actions, and He does not overlook your suffering and illness. He is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble, Psalm 9:9, and He calls His people to seek justice and correct oppression, Isaiah 1:17. Scripture is clear that we are not to oppress our neighbor or withhold what is due, Lev 19:13, and that God will plead the cause of the afflicted, Prov 22:22-23. We also remember that vengeance belongs to the Lord, Rom 12:19, and that He has established authorities to uphold what is right, so we are called to trust Him while also seeking what is just and lawful with integrity.
We also bring before the Lord your body and the damage to your skin that has been so distressing and may take years to heal. We know how heavy this is to carry. We pray for the Lord's healing touch upon you, for He heals all your diseases, Ps 103:3, and He promises I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, Jer 30:17. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds, Ps 147:3.
We join together in prayer for you now.
Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace and we lift up this dear one to You. Lord, You see the lack of electrical safety, the problems in the apartment, the illness that followed, the cost of alternative shower facilities, the threats and the other inappropriate actions that have caused suffering. You see the security deposit and repair costs that have not been returned though they were promised months ago. We ask that You move upon the conscience of the landlord and the community house manager by Your Holy Spirit, that You convict them of sin and righteousness and judgment, John 16:8, and stir them to do what is good and right, to repent where they have done wrong, and to make full restitution for what they owe. Lord, awaken their hearts to act with honesty and fairness, to repay everything that is due without further delay. We ask for Your justice to be made visible, for You have said He will bring out your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun, Ps 37:6, and that You hear the cry of Your chosen who cry to You day and night, Luke 18:7.
Father, we also ask for Your healing hand upon this body. Touch the skin that has become damaged, soothe the pain and inflammation, and rebuild what has been harmed. We ask that You guide the hands of doctors and bring restoration where there has been injury, and grant patience and hope in the long process of healing. Grant peace that surpasses all understanding to guard heart and mind in Christ Jesus, Phil 4:7, and keep this one from bitterness or despair while waiting, Heb 12:15. Provide wisdom for next steps, whether through lawful counsel, mediation, or proper authorities, that all may be done in a way that honors You and seeks peace as far as it depends on us, Rom 12:18. We thank You that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to You, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12, and we are grateful this request was brought in His mighty name.
We encourage you to continue to keep careful records of all costs, communications, promises, and medical care, and to seek wise and godly counsel and, where appropriate, lawful advice for the return of what is owed, while continuing to entrust your cause to the Lord who judges righteously. Continue to care for your health and follow medical guidance, trusting that the Lord is your healer and your defender. Wait for Yahweh, be strong, and let your heart take courage, Ps 27:14. We will continue to pray with you for justice, for a softened and repentant heart in those responsible, for full repayment, and for complete healing and restoration in Jesus' name.
