Beloved of All
Please pray in Jesus mighty name that the landlord will pay compensation for the problems (electric shocks) that occurred in the apartment due to the lack of electrical safety, as well as for the illness that developed as a result, skin problems, medical treatments, the cost of alternative shower facilities or a shower pass, threats, and other inappropriate actions.

Please pray the landlord's conscience is awakened and stirred by the Holy Spirit to do good and repent.

Update: I have been asking for prayers for a month, but there has been no communication, remorse or willingness to compensate me for my suffering.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation to our Heavenly Father in the mighty name of Jesus. The dangers and suffering you have endured due to the landlord’s neglect are unacceptable, and we stand with you in seeking justice, healing, and restitution. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 31:8-9, "Open your mouth for the mute, for the rights of all who are destitute. Open your mouth, judge righteously, and serve justice to the poor and needy." We declare that God sees your suffering and will not turn a blind eye to injustice.

Father, we ask that You stir the landlord’s conscience by the power of the Holy Spirit. Let conviction fall upon their heart like a weight, leading them to repentance and a desire to make things right. Your Word says in Romans 14:12, "So then each one of us will give account of himself to God." We pray that this truth would grip their heart and compel them to act with integrity and compassion. May they recognize the harm caused and take responsibility to compensate you fairly for the physical, emotional, and financial burdens you have carried.

Lord, we also pray for your healing touch over the illnesses and skin problems that have developed as a result of this negligence. You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your promise from Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." Bring restoration to your body, mind, and spirit, and provide the resources needed for medical treatments and alternative living arrangements.

We rebuke the spirit of stubbornness and indifference that may be hardening the landlord’s heart. In the name of Jesus, we break every chain of greed, pride, or callousness that would prevent them from doing what is right. We declare that the love of Christ compels them to act with justice and mercy, as Your Word commands in Micah 6:8, "He has shown you, O man, what is good. What does Yahweh require of you, but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?"

Father, we also ask that You provide wisdom and favor as you navigate this situation. Surround yourself with godly counsel and advocates who can stand with you in seeking justice. Give you patience and perseverance, knowing that Your timing is perfect. We trust that You will work all things together for good, as Romans 8:28 assures us, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose."

We stand on the promise of Psalm 37:6, "He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, and the justice of your cause like the noonday sun." Let justice prevail in this situation, and may the landlord be moved to not only compensate you but also to ensure the safety of others under their care. We pray that this trial would ultimately bring glory to Your name and draw others to the hope found in Christ.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We've been carrying this with you over the past month, and we understand how draining it is to deal with ongoing suffering while waiting on someone who shows no remorse. The physical toll, the shocks, your skin problems, the need to find alternative shower facilities, would be heavy by itself. Having to pursue compensation while recovering adds a whole other layer of exhaustion.

What strikes us is that you're not just asking for payment. You're also praying for the landlord's conscience to be awakened by the Holy Spirit. That tells us something about your heart, even in this hard place. It is genuinely difficult to pray that someone who has caused harm would come to repentance when they remain silent and unresponsive. That silence stings, especially when you're still living with the consequences of their inaction.

We wonder if it might help to quietly document your timeline and expenses in one clear place, dates of the electric shocks, medical visits, costs incurred, any communication or lack of it. Not to harden your heart, but just to have a simple, factual record if things eventually move toward resolution. Sometimes having it down on paper can relieve a bit of the mental weight of carrying it all in your head.

For now, we simply ask God to be your defender and to bring what is hidden into the light. Let's pray.

Lord Jesus, you see this long and wearying struggle. We ask you to bring practical help, the compensation that is just, the healing this person's body still needs, and relief from the stress of being ignored. Stir the landlord's conscience in a way only your Spirit can, not with shallow remorse that fades, but with true conviction that leads to right action. In the waiting, be a steady presence. Guard against bitterness and give daily strength for what needs to be done. We trust you with both the outcome and the timing. Amen.

The house we occupy is but a temporary dwelling, and its Landlord is the Almighty. Though your earthly landlord has dealt unjustly, withhold your complaint from Him who notes every sparrow’s fall. The shock that coursed through your body, the lingering illness, the skin made raw, these are not hidden from the eyes of Him who counts the very hairs of your head. Yet I must urge you to a higher consideration: has this trial driven you nearer to the Great Physician? The leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and they reach every malady, whether of body or soul. His medicine searches the innermost nature, and He prescribes it for such as you. Cry to Him for restoration; He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.

That your landlord’s conscience sleeps while you suffer, that a month of prayer has brought no whisper of remorse, this is no proof that heaven is silent. The Holy Spirit alone can stir a deadened heart, and true repentance is His gift, not a transient spasm of regret. Men may for a season turn from ill-gain, as a dog from its vomit, only to return with keener appetite. Beware of expecting too much from fallen flesh; repentance that brings glory to God, that loathes the sin because it was laid on Christ, is a jewel not found in nature’s mine. Pray still, but let your chief prayer be for your own spirit, that you bear this cross with patience, and that your faith fail not. The Lord’s keeping is sure: He who has set before you an open door, though your strength be little, will make you steadfast. He counts for more than all the myriads of hell’s machinery.

Remember, the true Landlord will shortly require His rent from every tenant. Your adversary’s lease is but for a breath; a day comes when all arrears must be paid if no surety be found. Are you, then, in that Great Tenant’s rent-book? Have you fled to Christ for shelter, so that no debt stands against your own soul? Give diligence to make your calling sure, and then you may leave vengeance to the Lord. That which men call misfortune God may turn to blessed account: the breaking of the alabaster box releases the ointment. Your sorrows may yet yield the peaceable fruit of righteousness if you are exercised thereby. Go now to Jesus, look to His wounds, and let your repentance flow not for your landlord’s sin but for your own, mingled with the sweetest joy that every sin is pardoned through His precious blood. This is repentance that needeth not to be repented of.
