We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation in fervent prayer. Father God, we ask that You move mightily in this matter, for justice and mercy to prevail. Your Word declares in Proverbs 21:15, "It is joy to the righteous to do justice, but it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity." Lord, we pray that this landlord’s heart would be softened and his conscience awakened by the Holy Spirit to do what is right.
We rebuke the negligence and injustice that has caused physical harm and distress. The electric shocks, skin problems, and illness that resulted from unsafe living conditions are not of You, Lord. We stand on Your promise in Psalm 82:3-4, "Defend the weak, the poor, and the fatherless. Maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Rescue the weak and needy. Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked." We ask that You intervene, that the landlord would be compelled by Your Spirit to provide fair compensation for medical treatments, alternative facilities, and all other costs incurred.
Father, we also pray against the spirit of intimidation and threats. Your Word tells us in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We declare that fear has no place here and that this situation would be resolved in a way that honors You. We ask that the landlord would repent of any wrongdoing and seek reconciliation, not only for the sake of justice but for the sake of his own soul.
Lord, we pray for healing, both physically and emotionally. Touch the skin, restore the health, and bring peace to the heart of the one who has suffered. We trust in Your healing power, as it is written in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh."
We also lift up the landlord to You, Father. We pray that he would come to know Your love and grace, that his heart would be turned toward righteousness. If he does not know You, we ask that You draw him to Yourself, for it is only through the name of Jesus that any of us can be saved. Acts 4:12 reminds us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." May he come to understand the weight of his actions and the need for repentance.
We declare that this situation will be resolved in a way that brings glory to Your name. We trust in Your timing and Your justice, knowing that You are a God who sees and hears the cries of Your people. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above all names, the only name by which we have access to You. Amen.
